I need to do a little Zombie research for a book I'm working on so any zombie themed Lit. suggestions are welcome. Also any comments about why Zombies in books are cooler then Werewolves or Vampires.

I enjoyed the Book "Generation Dead" I can not remember who it was by. But it was a male author. It is an interesting take on zombies... You may enjoy it. Also the Zombie survival Guide. It has accounts of possible zombie activity in history.. I know odd but it seems real and makes some good points. It also takes all aspects of surviving an outbreak and breaks it down into sections that make sense. So I would check it out as well. :) I hope this helps some.

The Book "The Cell" By Stephen King was zombie like though not in the traditional sese of zombie liturature. It was an interesting read though. If you wanted to look into it as well.

lol Your welcome. I am a fan of horror... and well as much as I love vampires and demons... I also adore zombies and you just don't see anything in lights about them.. not the way vamps and demons get it. So I hope to see your project done. :)

I might have to post some of it in the writers forum when I start it. It's going to be about a Necromancer who of course has lots of dealings with Zombies amongst other undead things.

I'll need to do a little research on it first. I kind of want to put a new and interesting spin on my zombies and I have a few ideas, but I want to take a look out there and see what's already been done.

Yeah if you try to write about something you don't know a lot about it never ends up being as good and I really want this to be an awesome book. This is the first time I've ever done any kind of research before writing something and I'm hoping it will help me improve as a writer.

Well hopefully some day I'll get published, but that won't ever happen if I'm not willing to take my writing seriously and think of ways to improve myself. Of course there's also a fair amount of luck involved, but I'm going to improve my chances as much as possible.

Yeah online stuff can be hard to get off the ground.. its all about getting a fan base. >.< I wish her luck as well. I enjoy web comics so thats neat.

Hey, I've read part of a book called Autumn. It's very well written and is set during the time zombies started instead of a few months after, which seems to be the current trend. The author is male and British, so that might lower the search field.

I'm actually planning on starting a post apocalypse web comic soon also ^^

Modern. He runs a business of sorts out of his house that brings him in contact with all sorts of interesting supernatural things, but mostly the undead.
