Veronica looked at the blood dripping from Erik's finger. "Ouch," she said as she watched the blood slide down towards his wrist. "Here, I'll help stop the bleeding." Just as she grabbed a rag from the kitchen, Veronica had a brilliant idea. She went back into the dining room, reached over towards Erik's hand and gently took it. She moved it towards her mouth so she could lick the bleeding off his hand.

As her tongue touched his blood, Veronica had a strange sensation. It was a happy, giddy sensation. She had done it! She had finally been able to taste Erik's blood! However, when she realized what she had done, Veronica quickly stopped the bleeding and backed away from Erik.
"I... I...." she stuttered. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry!" Tears were starting to pile into her eyes, and she ran out of the dining room. She knew for certain that her feelings for Erik were real, and she loved everything about him. She also knew that because of her, their friendship could most likely be over. As she ran outside, Veronica cried as her heart broke.

"Wait Veronica!" Erik caught hold of her just as a bus nearly ran her over. "What's wrong? You got so upset about licking the blood off my finger. It's fine really...I had a younger sister who did much stranger things plus your just getting over your vampire idea so give yourself a break." he smiled then frowned. "When did you put you fake fangs in?" his eyebrows went up. "No you must have had them in before...vampire's aren't real." he paused. "Are they?"

Veronica sniffed as she looked at Erik. She was so upset over what she had done that she never noticed the car coming on the road. "Thank you," she said as she tried to stop crying. She sniffed again as she controlled her sobs. When he mentioned the fangs, Veronica knew it was time. It was time for her to tell him the truth, whether he believed her or not.

"The fangs," she said after she stopped crying. "The fangs are real. I'm a real vampire." She showed him her fangs again. "When I told you before, you didn't believe me. If you still don't believe me, you can touch them. Then you can know for sure that they are real. I don't care." She paused before continuing. "That's why I kept trying to bite you. I wanted to taste your blood so bad that I attacked you multiple times." She looked at the ground. "I'm so sorry," she whispered.

Erik pulled at the fangs hard enough to rip her jaw out then ran his finger over it frowning in thought. "Any vampire crazed person can file there teeth and act a part. Drink my blood then I'll really believe you." his eyes dared her too do it and his poster suggested that if she didn't he might never think of her as more then one of those vampire crazy goth girls.

"All right," Veronica said. "I'll do it." She slowly got closer to Erik's neck, ready to bite him. Her fangs dug into his skin, and she drank his blood. "Mmm..." she thought to herself. "It tastes so good." When she finished, Veronica wiped her mouth and said, "That was delicious." She paused for a moment as she looked at Erik. "So, now do you believe that I'm a real vampire?" she asked.

"Yep I believe...either that or I'm crazy but that felt way to real." Erik blinked then eyed her. "Your not going to suck me dry or anything right?"

Veronica's eyes grew wide as she looked at Erik. She wiped her mouth with her hand and said, "Of course not. I would never do that to you."

"Alright...this could take some getting use to." Erik sighed. "Are there other things like werewolves that actually exist."

"Yes," Veronica said as she started smiling. "There are vampires, werewolves, and zombies. I was once a friend with a werewolf. He was, well, different. Basically, many creatures that humans think of as fantasy creatures are actually real. It's just that they haven't normally been noticed by humans."

"Good to know I'll be sure to carry silver bullets around." Erik looked a little green around the edges.

Veronica noticed that Erik looked odd. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked. "You don't look so good."

"Just trying to take all this in it's a lot." Erik smiled at her.

Veronica also smiled. Then she noticed they were still standing outside. "Hey," she said as she took Erik's hand. "Why don't we go back inside? It's starting to get cold out here."

"Alright." Erik let her pull him back inside. "Warm." he sighed happily.

When they were back inside, Veronica took a seat on the couch. "Mmm. That's better," she said.

Erik followed her and pulled a blanket over her body then one over his.

Veronica wrapped the blanket over her shoulders and said, "Thank you." Then she noticed that the table was still set up. "I'm gonna go clean the table off," she said as she put the blanket on the couch. She went over to the dining room and started cleaning up.

"I could have done that in the morning." Erik frowned at her. "I don't want you to feel like you have to clean up after you cook."

Veronica stopped and looked back at Erik. "It's okay," she said as she smiled at him. "I don't mind cleaning up right now." She started clearing the table and cleaning the dishes.

"If your sure." Erik took his shoes off sighing in relief. "much better."

"I'm sure," Veronica said as she washed the dishes. "I want to do it sooner instead of later." When she finished, she walked back to the couch and sat down. "There," she said with a sigh of relief. "Now I can really relax."

Erik stared at her. "You sure I'm not going to wake up in the morning as this will all have been a dream?"

Veronica turned towards Erik. She smiled at him and said, "You don't have to worry about that. I can promise you that it's not a dream." She paused for a moment. "Besides," she added, "If it was a dream, I think you would have woken up by now. I doubt dreams would have lasted this long."

Erik nodded. "True but I could be in a coma." he stared at her. "Nothing as beautiful could be imagined though."

Veronica blushed. Did he just call her beautiful? Was it just her imagination, or did he really just say that? "Thank you," she said.
