Cor Autem Bellator
"The heart of the Warrior"

Welcome to the city, there isn't much you need to know about it. We have hotels, bars, plenty of sights and attractions. One thing you should be wary of...though it is just a rumor, it's never been fully proven, even if everyone knows about it. The city is a hub for organized crime. Just outside of the city sits a mansion, controlled by the Bellator family. Wealthy and powerful, the family has been suspected of being at the forefront of this Mafia that keeps the city on edge. This seems to attract both rivals and those looking to gain power or a family...though the truth isn't always easy to discover. Whatever your business in the city, just remember to be careful. Lives can be built and crumble...what will be your story? What will you leave behind?

Name:
Ferox Bellator

Age:
Sixteen

Gender:
Male

Race:
Demonic Heritage

Sexuality:
Comes off as straight, though it would take a special kind of guy to sway him.

Info on Character:
His first name means a variety of things: Fierce, courageous, wild, untamed, defiant, headstrong, all of which could be used to describe the son of the Bellator family. His left eye is typically a light green just like his mother's used to be, while the right is permanently red, causing him to be a heterochromic. The red comes from his demonic heritage, and though his father is able to conceal it, he is unable to hide the color of the one eye. This causes him to often either ware a custom eye patch within public, or to keep his eye closed. When his emotions spike, or he allows his more demonic side to surface, both eyes become a red that seems to glow.

He has a classy style to him, he likes older styled mafia like pinstripe suits and hats. He tends to be a bit to formal, even though he is unafraid to get his hands dirty if need be. A strong willed and hearted teen, he is described as being a handful and often a hard one to handle. He can be a bit of a hot head, or he can be composed and calculating. He is fiercely loyal and protective of those close to him...even to the point of being self sacrificial for them. His mother is ill, and currently the main light within his life. Many fear that should she pass and he be raised solely by his father, the boy would plunge the city and eventually the world into darkness and war.

He shows growing power, within a variety of demonic fields, and is proficient in various styles of hand to hand combat, Bushido and even oddly enough with explosives and firearms. He is a bright and intelligent boy, though his mouth often gets him into trouble and he prefers to hide his brain from most people. He views it unwise to show one's full power to anyone they don't trust will less than their lives. He's surprisingly a good cook as well as classically trained in music on the piano and violin, and unlike others, he is a man of honor. He won't provoke a fight or harm innocent people. He typically wont fight someone who is unarmed either...unless you cross him in a way deemed 'unforgivable'. Once crossed, he can be cold and ruthless in nature, it is near impossible to regain even a shred of trust with him. He can be mature beyond his years when he wants to be, and is fluent in many languages. There is much more to him than meets the eye.

---------

The rain falling was a bit of an annoyance. Moving a hand out from under the umbrella palm up to the sky, the blonde allowed a frown to form on his lips. He stood on the street, people seeming to currently keep their distance from him. Nothing new, he was the son of a man who was believed to currently be leading the mafia activity within this city. He wasn't alone either, a few steps back on the street, two men in black suits were following him. Bodyguards, his father's idea, despite his attempts to tell him he could handle himself.

Last thing he needed, was to stand out even more than he already did. A sixteen year old male walking down the street in a suit, fedora and eyepatch was a bit odd. Add the bodyguards and knowing the family name, it was more like he might as well be the plague around people. They wanted nothing to do with him. That was fine, it wasn't like he needed people anyways. They got on his nerves most of the time, little more than that.

He had been alone most of his life, outside of those who worked for the 'business' under his father, or the staff back at the house. It was kind of lonely, but it made him strong at the same time. With his mother having been confined to the bed now, it was getting even quieter and lonelier within the large house. So, he mainly kept to his studies and to himself. Moving his hand back under the umbrella, he'd slide it into his pocket. There was no reason to whine about it, he knew he would have to grow up quicky from the get go.

He wasn't going to stand around and whine about his life, if anything, he was going to take this and make it his. He would prove to his father and the rest of the world, that he was a force to be reckoned with. His frown turned to a small smile, the rain wasn't all that bad...it was actually kind of refreshing, cleansing the world around him. He knew he should be getting home, he'd only stepped out to go to the bookstore within the city. He'd needed something new outside of the library back home. A book tucked under his arm, he continued his path onward.

Name:
Magnus
Age:
Eighteen
Gender:
Male
Sexuality:
Goes after those who seem the LEAST interested
Info on Character:
Magnus has a tendency to get in over his head but he'll never break a promise, no matter how ridiculous. He takes things that people say with some creative liberties and sometimes he just... takes things. He moonlights as a simple pickpocket and gets through the day with cheap magics to scam people out of their money on the street. He's pretty new to the city, having just crossed a few borders to escape some past trouble.
Deceptively strong for his lean build he is also rather quick on his feet which rather helps when avoiding the police or trying to escape from hostile situations.

Ah rain. No one would want to come play his rigged games in this weather which mean it was time for plan B. Magnus scanned the scattered crowds of people as he searched for a mark. The damned water kept dripping down his face to his eyes however, boy did he need an umbrella. The tan jacket he wore might have been fairly waterproof but the hood kept blowing off in the wind and thus did nothing for keeping his head dry. That was the last time he invested in a cheap raincoat.

Tucking his hands in his pockets he shook some water from his shaggy black hair. It was well above his shoulders but the front was getting long enough to be getting in his eyes and that probably didn't help either. It would soon be time for a haircut to, another expense that would need paying for, boy did he need that mark to come along soon. And then he spotted the boy, some stupid blonde wearing an eye patch? Probably wanted to make himself look tough, Magnus mused to himself as he invented a story for the boy. A silly tale about tripping over his mommy's skirt and gouging his eye on the coffee table. Magnus chuckled to himself, he did love coming up with stories for strangers.

Taking in a breath and letting it out slowly, Magnus hunched in his shoulders and join the scurrying crowd of people who seemed to be trying to escape the rain. He feigned to be in a hurry like the rest of them, seeking the shelter of home as quickly as possible. Personally Magnus actually enjoyed the rain, it made everything smell so crisp and brought a wonderful feel to the air. Now was not the time however to be caught up in weather, the mark was growing closer with every step and-bump. Magnus' shoulder collided with Ferox's while the thief's right hand slipped nimbly to his mark's pocket the left caused a distraction on Ferox's arm as he gave it a pat, "ah, sorry lad" he mumbled his apologies before moving along, instantly scanning for the nearest alley to vanish down now that he had the boy's wallet.

He was in thought a bit, but he wasn't completely foolish. Feeling the man bump into him, immediately he felt a flare within him. He pushed it aside, but couldn't stop a frown that formed on his lips at the touch. The guards already moving in closer at it, he held up a hand behind him to keep them back for the moment. When the other slinked off, he watched after him. He didn't trust that at all....a hand went to his pocket on the side the other had been on. Sure enough, he let out a sigh at the emptiness.

Well that would be a problem...for him. He turned on his heel, making no sound as he followed the man along. He passed by the two guards who were concealing things that would end the man a bit to quickly if they got a chance to. "Stay back..." he ordered, causing them to glance at each other. He walked to the mouth of the alley where the other seemed to be heading from what he could tell. "You really shouldn't have done that..." he slipped his hands into the pockets of his pants. This man was like some within the city, con artists who did this kind of thing for a living.

He clearly didn't know who he'd just stolen from, or he would have been wise enough not to do it.... If it had been up to his father, the man would have probably been ended on sight from suspicion alone, whether he'd done it or not. Luckily his son was a bit nicer, but only to a point and so far. He waited for the male's response, what would he say to cover his ass?

Magnus had stolen down the alley rather swiftly and had a look around to assess his options. He always tried to keep an eye on where to make an easy exit, whether or not he would need them. Noting the fire escape he tucked the wallet in his pocket and gave a running jump to seize the lowest platform, proceeding to hoist himself up. He stay there, on the bottom of the fire escape and leaned against the stairs as he investigated the contents of the wallet.

Some cash, good, an ID, interesting. Apparently he had stolen from one Ferox Bellator. Magnus paused in thought, did he know that name? It sounded vaguely familiar, perhaps he had heard it in passing along his long travels across the country. He was quite a long way from home-just how he wanted it-but that also meant he didn't know anyone here. Maybe this Ferox was some wealthy merchant's son? The amount of cash seemed to suggest something of the like.

A voice, Magnus turned and looked down into the alley. The boy had actually noticed, and quick enough to follow him. With a grin Magnus leaned against the railing, gazing upon the one and only Ferox Bellator of the wallet. "Well aren't you a clever one" he chuckled lightly.

Oh, he could run. In fact it was probably wiser to do so, noted Magnus to himself as he caught sight of two body guards lurking near the entrance to the alley. He had planned his escape and everything yet... something drew him in. His honey coloured eyes looked Ferox over with almost a sexual hunger from his perch. Despite the unseemly eyepatch, Magnus decided that Ferox was quite a looker.

Gripping the railing, Magnus launched himself over it and landed back into the alley below. He brushed himself off and then moved casually forward with all the enticing grace of a cat, "Well then, Ferox-may I call you Ferox? It would seem you have caught me, fair and square" Magnus proclaimed and with a flourish he held out the wallet.

The other on the fire escape so casually got under his skin a bit. He wasn't really surprised to see him acting so casual about it, he had obviously done this before, which had been apparent earlier as well. He remained quiet as the other approached him, the look in his eyes made the teen arch a brow. Clever? He was smart yes, came with his life, he had to learn from a young age how to think on his feet and survive. Anything else was not an option, since it most likely would lead to one getting their ass handed to them, or dead. There were plenty out there who would love to take advantage of him, for various purposes.

They wanted to challenge his family, his father. At the same time, they just wanted to say they had stuck it to the family in some way and got away with it. Reputation was a huge thing in this town, one where people could get seriously hurt for pissing off the wrong people. He made no move to step back or anything of the like as the other approached him, holding his ground and keeping his posture confident yet calm. When he spoke his name, it was clear that he had looked through his wallet. Glancing at the black piece of leather as he held it out to him, he made no move to take it back just like that. Did the other seriously think it was that easy? Honestly he would have loved to avoid a fight, but at the same time....

He had handed his umbrella to one of the guards back there, the water from the rain though lighter than before, now fell on his hat and suit. He really either didn't know who he was, or he was still trying to play it cool. Opting for a peaceful end either way, he moved a hand to pluck the wallet from the other's hand. He opened it to make sure that nothing had been taken out of it. He wasn't that foolish to take his word for it, just giving it back after he'd stolen it like that. If he was to naive, he could have possibly gotten all the way home only to discover that it was empty, which would have been useless in the end as well.

"Why target me?" he asked as his eyes remained on the wallet. It was a simple question, might be the deciding choice between letting the other go or something else. He was also kind of curious of what his excuse might be for getting himself into this predicament to begin with. He knew nothing about this man, who now obviously knew his name. It made him wonder what else he might know if anything.

Surprisingly all of the contents were still in the wallet, not one dollar was missing. Magnus waited patiently for the boy to count his belongings before he smiled at his question. How naive some children were. "tsk tsk, people can be so self centered." Magnus bridged the gap between them with an easy stride, "Why me? Why me? Well why not you my boy?" he ran a finger along the brim of Ferox's hat, "or... maybe I just wanted to know the name of the most enchanting boy in the city?" his words had quickly become quiet, like the daring whisper of a lover. It might have sounded like mockery if the look in Magnus' eyes didn't at least partially back up his words.

And just like that Magnus spun and took a few steps away from Ferox again. He could see how the closeness made his bodyguards anxious and Magnus wasn't too eager to get killed just yet. "How terribly rude of me" he faced Ferox with an elegant showman's bow, "Allow me to introduce myself to you my pickpocketee, for it is not every day I meet someone with beauty and brains" he flashed Ferox an alluring grin, oh yes, he was flirting with the boy he just robbed. Classy. "I am Magnus."

He frowned at the comment, he wasn't being self centered at all. If he was, he would have been more likely to believe there couldn't have possibly been any other option out there but himself. Honestly, there were plenty of other potential targets the other could have chosen, yet he had gone after him. It was a perfectly legitimate question in such a situation. The other closing the distance between them made him tense just a fraction. He wasn't one who liked his personal space intruded. People were unpredictable so close, it was easier to end someone the closer to them you were.

Enchanting? That caught him a bit off guard, the way he said it, along with the finger moving across his hat. Was this guy...seriously trying to flirt with him? The way he spoke upon stepping away again all but confirmed that. He was beyond not used to strangers flirting with him. Some people who knew him tried, either wanting power or something from him. It was dangerous to get close to anyone for him. Though his family did expect him to eventually produce an heir. That kind of wasn't possible between two men. What was he even thinking?

He didn't even know the other, nor was he interested to in that way at this point. He could still be simply playing this entire situation. Magnus...he noted the other left off a last name. "You're new to this city..." it wasn't really much of a question, he'd never seen the other around the city before, and he clearly didn't know well enough to avoid him as a native would. He lifted a hand, giving the guards a signal. For a moment they hesitated, before falling back a bit more. "You are lucky you made such a mistake with me and not another...or you might not be so lucky as to keep your head where it is" it wasn't really a threat, it was being honest.

His father would have had him ended, though if he knew the other was flirting with his son, he might still have desired that. He wasn't to fond of anything he couldn't control when it came to his son...especially such things as his heart. He wanted him to become a powerful force for the future of the family, so uncertainties that could change that were unwelcomed in his eyes. "Keep away from me if you wish to survive long in this town..." with that he turned away from him, slipping his wallet back into his pocket.

A pout appeared on Magnus' soft lips. He was leaving? Just like that? No fuss, no demands, it was like he didn't even care. Magnus could very well have just been a pesky fly that he'd swatted out of his way and continued on with life, never to be thought of again. That didn't sit well with honey-eyed thief, not at all. He liked to make an impression, otherwise what was the point in life? To just breeze through and then die like nobody had even known he was there? A silent fist formed by his side at the thought. No, too many people lived life like that, most of his family in fact and it made him sick to think of being the same.

How dare this child dismiss him like he was nothing! "Maybe I don't want to just survive" Magnus found himself saying, a dark look crossing his face, when just a moment ago it had been so flirtatious and happy. It was light a weight had dropped in his heart, threatening to drag him down but Magnus shook his head and forced that cheeky grin back on his face like he had done so many times before.

"I've got an idea! You're right, I'm new around here and I could use someone to show me the ins and outs of this place" Magnus draped an arm around Ferox's shoulders like they'd suddenly become best friends, "You seem like the perfect lad for the job. You're hired! Now, obviously I can't pay you for your services so consider me your, hmm, let's see... you've already got body guards" he stuck his tongue out at the pair, "I know! I'll be your butler!" Magnus proclaimed as thought he'd just had the greatest idea in all the world.
