I mean, I need some. >: is anyone good enough in it to show me examples of different ways to crosshatch or different line styles with it?

Because I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to fill certain areas in on my art assignment, the way I'm currently doing everything just doesn't seem like it would work.

Like for the rabbit hole and the ground.. any tips? >_o

Can't say I've ever used a toothpick, but that is something I'm so going to try. o__o

Paintbrush + ink = fun, but not quite the effect I want. x3

I dunno about ink..but when it comes to oils, for small details, toothpicks pwn face. Unlike needles and staples, they don't damage or scratch unless you're applying a bit of force..and it controls flow very well for oils. Only downside is you'll be dipping it over and over quite often. But it's pretty nice. o.o

Oooh, oil.~ *inexperienced with pretty much everything aside from watercolor, ink, and pencil.*

I've tried doing the toothpick thing but the ink just doesn't come out the same, like the toothpick doesn't seem to hold the ink well enough. ):

my advice on inking is to move the brushthingy in a swift motion to achieve the smoothst lines
