That's always the issue. Sentimental value. I try to only keep things that are small or useful. Even though I have 3 empty rooms.

Yeah, so many things that have sentimental value and not much else. One of these days I'll have to try and let them go before it gets to the point of being like that show Hoarders.

A lot of things like books, small knickknacks, trophies, piggy banks (not necessarily in the form of pigs), and etc. Just a bunch of, as a friend of the family said, "beautiful junk".

I'm bad at getting rid of things too. Especially craft supplies. 😅

I, too, am a memento hoarder of sorts.
I have stuffed animals and items from my childhood and many items from each of my 3 girls' childhoods and many items from my grandchildren...not to mention the knickknacks and collections I have gathered over the years.

Sometimes if I am getting rid of an item like that I'll take a photo of it.

That's a good idea, though knowing my mentality it'll just make me miss it even more after it's gone, even though they're not needed for anything besides looking at.

The way I’ve gotten over collecting physical things is by taking photos. Anything I want to remember I snap a pic of with my phone. I may never look at the pic again but at least it’s not taking up physical space.

Oh, and to continue the food topic from last page: I’m also not a big bacon fan. I also didn’t eat breakfast for a while but now I have to have a giant bowl of granola in the morning or I’m starving. But that’s because I’m breastfeeding right now and usually nurse my daughter several times over the night so I need a boost in the morning.

But craft supplies could come in handy some day!

But you're right, Poet and Ferra - taking a picture of the item before getting rid of it is a good idea! I may try that with other things I am reluctant to part with. And I do feel like I've gotten better about that, at least.

@Ferra: I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like pork bacon. I was beginning to think I might be the only one!

I love bacon but I rarely ever eat any because they're so unhealthy. Same with hotdogs and sausages.

I'm vegetarian now so the only bacon I eat is coconut bacon...
But even when I did eat meat, I wasn't a bacon fan.
I was always into sausages more!

Eventually, I stopped eating pork, and even then... I wasn't a fan of turkey bacon. But I LOVED chicken and apple sausage. :d
