Killian stepped into the clearing and allowed herself a private smile. It was quiet here and high enough that she could watch the view from below. The wind touseled her unnaturally dyed red hair, flipping her jagged ends about, as she studied the scene below. Some were jogging and others were picnicing on the grounds, others had dogs to play with and some were reading. The park was spacious enough but held small groves of trees. It was in one of these groves on the hill that Killian walked towards. Her grey eyes surveyed the area as she walked quietly on the grass, and sometimes it seemed as if her footsteps barely brushed the blades. Stopping at a tree she leaned her back against it and began her exercises. A few scattered blossoms and leaves were being tossed about by a mild breeze. Killian raise her hand and began to manipulate them to and fro with her fingertips.

The lithe figure was about as tall as the average male and her breasts were small but what she lacked in one area she made up for in another. Her body was tone and trim, like a runner, and her eyes were always alert.
Her usual motif of clothes were baggy cargo pants with Doc Marten black boots, and tank tops. Today she had a completely black ensemble and a few silver rings to match the two simple rings in each ear, and one through her lip.

Her thoughts let her eyes trail down into the park and she dropped her hand, letting the leaves and blossoms slowly trail down unnaturally since the wind had quieted now.

Tamara shifted, adjusting the strap of her paint splattered overalls with a simple roll of her shoulder. She'd meant to change when she was done but it had slipped her mind completely. Her black hair was still tied up in a knot at the back of her head. She reached up into her hair, slipped out the band holding it in place, and rolled it onto her wrist. Her hair felt better down and she smiled when the wind caught it a little.

The smile faded into a wince as a near-by child screeched playfully. The park was always far too busy for her tastes. She quickened her steps, venturing deeper, moving into the trees. She trailed her hand over the rough bark of the trees as she passed them.

It was the black that caught her eye. She didn't run into too many people out in the trees and the few she did were usually either kids playing hide and seek or teenagers looking for a make-out spot. She approached quietly, her sneakers moving almost without a sound on the dry leaves. She hid her body behind a tree and peeked around it, getting a better look.

Guy? No... no, it was a girl, she decided. The face was too soft and now that she was looking, she could make out the swell of her breasts. She looked away purposefully. Her eyes caught the movement of the other girl's fingers first, then of the petals and leaves. It took a moment to register how they matched and her eyes widened when it dawned on her.

"Hey, you can do it too," she blurted, her words almost taking her by surprise.

The innate sense the wind gave her something like intuition but stronger, it ran through her blood, was part of her being. She usually set up perimeters when doing something as dangerous as this but she thought it safe today.

As soon as the foreign body entered the space she clenched her fist and pushed off quickly from the tree. "Who's there?" She barked out. Her voice, though not wholly female, held a commanding presence. Fool, she thought and now both hands were clenched into fists. Had they seen anything? Why hadn't the wind told her of this earlier? Lately it had been acting up and giving her wrong signals and bad direction.

It seems that this time was another instance of its mistake. Closing her eyes she breathed in and slowed the exiting breath, pinpointing where the body was with her sense. Right over there. With a stoic visage and anger bright in her eyes, she casually strolled over to the body behind the tree. She was partially curious to find out who it was but the anger, and fear, of being found out eclipsed it. Her wild red hair flew about her face, looking like a halo of blood in the sunlight.

Tamara hadn't expected to suddenly be face-to-face with the other girl and she stepped back from her, feeling rather intimidated. She bit her lip and brushed her fingers over the tree next to her, taking a little comfort in its strength and texture.

She opened her mouth to assure the other girl that she hadn't seen anything but closed it again. Of course if she said that the other girl would know she'd seen her. Her blue eyes glanced quickly to the side, catching the sway of the plants poking up through the leaves on the ground. Best to tell the truth.

"M-my name's Tamara," she said quietly, hating that she'd let herself sound scared. She stood a little straighter. "I was just walking around... and I saw you."

Killian's eyes softened a bit at her voice and body language. Her hands gradually relaxed and she gave her a quick look over, to make sure she wasn't carrying any weapons or cameras, and finally stopped on her pretty face.

"Tamara huh?" The wind sense was hinting at something, picking up some odd pheromones exuding from the female. Killian tilted her head as she studied her and then took a step back.

"Tell me, Tamara, what exactly did you see, that is to say if you saw anything at all? Anything unusual perhaps?" She grinned, a feral one. In that small space of a pause she took a moment to look back down at the park area. There were still too many possible witnesses but if it came down to it she was pretty sure no one would miss this girl. She looked rather dirty too with that paint on her overalls.

Her powers were at full strength and the wind stirred gently and an uneasy quiet filled the space between the two bodies. She would be ready if the girl tried to do anything stupid.

Tamara slipped her index finger in the palm of her other hand, clasping it in front of her body. She wasn't really liking this. Unsure of what the 'right' response would be, she just stood there a few moments.

She looked away as she answered, the other girl's gaze being a little too intense for her. "I saw you..." She almost left it at that but continued after a short breath. "You were moving those petals in the wind." She looked up at the other female quickly, checking her face to see if she had said something wrong.

Watching Tamara's body movements, a shrinking of sorts, she could almost feel her fear and anxiety. It wasn't due to her wind sense but an empathetic one instead; something every human was born with. Slowly she exhaled and cleared her head, trying to release the sudden anger in her veins.

To Killian, apologizing was like trying to swallow gravel in her mouth; it just didn't happen. Instead she exhaled again, more like a sigh, and looked at her with a slight smile. "Alright...so...you saw that eh?" She gave a half hearted chuckle, trying to ease the mood, but the strain of anxiety showed in her eyes.

As she fished around for something to say the wind told her things about this girl, interesting things about her. There seemed to be something foreign about her form, maybe internally? Once Killian had found someone like herself but it just turned out to be a fluke; someone performing a bit of store bought magic. Could she be authentic?

"Here, give me your hand. I need to check something." She gave a slight smile as she spoke, her voice was friendly. Quite a different change from a few moments ago.

[Hm...I don't think this was established fully but what does she look like and what is she wearing? I just like to have more to go on when I RP =)]

Tamara didn't feel very comforted when the other girl smiled. In fact, she didn't feel much more safe than she had a moment ago.

She glanced down at herself when the other girl asked to see her hand. Trust wasn't one of her strong points and she certainly had no reason to trust this confrontational girl in front of her. She chewed on her bottom lip a moment, lifting her eyes to study the other girl's face carefully.

'Just do it,' she told herself silently after a few seconds. 'You can take care of yourself.'

She held her left hand out, palm down. There was paint under a few of her nails and a smear of it near her wrist. She twisted one foot, a movement that would come off as a nervous gesture but in reality was just getting her closer to the soul underneath the leaves and grass.

Now that her rage had subsided Killian was attempting to be friendly and cooperative. Too bad for her she still appeared dangerous despite her best efforts. Years of honing her body to be her armor could do that to a chick.

Her grey eyes softened a bit as Tamara tentatively put her hand out. Perfect, Killian thought with a grin; a softened grin at that. Her fingers wrapped around Tamara's wrist as she trailed her right hand over her palm, taking note of the paint on her hands as well. She was either passionate about painting or extremely messy.

When Killian stroked the middle of Tamara's palm she felt a jolt and let go of it immediately. She didn't wince but her eyes belied her excitement. Careful, always on your guard. Don't say anything just yet. She nodded internally and wondered if Tamara felt anything in that moment.

"Ow," Tamara said, pulling her hand back. She shook her hand, her palm still tingling a little where she'd been touched. "You could have just asked." She knew very well what the touch had been for now and it only confirmed what she had suspected from the beginning.

She stepped back further and knelt. She slipped her fingers under the leaves and onto the grass. "I saw you, so its only fair that you see me, I guess..."

Her eyes closed and she took a deep breath. It was still hard for her. Ever since her brother had caught her, she'd made a point to be more careful and it gave her little time to practice. She didn't open her eyes again until she felt the grass brushing her knuckles. Slowly, it grew taller, covering her entire hand up to her wrist before she stopped it.

Killian's guard faltered a bit at her response. So that means.... Before she could reply Tamara knelt to the ground and Killian shot her arm out behind her to the park below. The air around them bended and shimmered so the light refracted oddly. To the casual observer they were now invisible. Unless anyone stepped into the barrier they were safe.

Fool, she thought about Tamara but it was out of fondness. This sudden kinship made her guard every so slightly weaken. Killian stepped forward and watched the grass inch slowly up.

"Impressive." She smirked a bit as she joked. Killian had spent enough time alone with her powers that she was able to explore every nuance of it...but recently it had been acting up. Come to think of it, she wan't sure how long the invisibility would hold. She set the wind around them to alert her of anything and focused on the earth female.

"But you don't have to stop. Go on. Let me see what you can do." She folded her arms over her small chest, grinning openly at her, looking possibly feral and crazy eyed to the wary femme. "And don't worry, it's safe. I set up a few perimeters and we have a shield of sorts. No one can see us." Killian winked at her to emphasize her statement and then waited, wondering what she could do with her powers.
