no, i teach the same thing... preliminary credential means i have to keep on going to seminars and do projects and make a profile so that i can claear it... once i clear it, then i just have to renew it ever so often... ^^;

Here, teachers get their degree and that's that. They have to go to occational training things, but that's normally only if something big is being changed in the Syllabus.
Or if they're an advanced class teacher. Then they have to go to renewal things quite a bit.

i got my math degree... then a preliminary credential after 1 year of credential school which included student teaching... and now i'm in a 2 year beginning teacher's program to get a cleared credential... and ever so often i still have to do trainings and i think we have to renew our credential every 5 years which includes doing stuff to keep up with our subjects and teaching so either through trainings or classes in college... ^^;

Haha yes now its the 15th but for me, it was still the 14th, around 11pm to be precise when I posted that. =P

I think for teachers here, you just do 3 years of university, and then you're shipped off to what ever school they pick for you. And the end of your first year, you get an evalution from the school you're at and uh.
That's it until you have to do whatever courses the school you're at want you to do.
