I use acrylic paints, from walmart, well now this guy I met through a mutual friend (steelmagghia:) is going to help me get supplies...

What paint do you use? (even if it's not acrylics)

If you use acrylics, what brand do you use?

What are some neat tips for painting?

I'm greatly sorry if I'm not posting this in the right thread.

Awww. *hugs*
I have always preferred tube water colors, but they are more expensive. Here is a good review on how to choose which is better for you: How to Choose Between Pan and Tube Watercolor Paints Keep in mind that I am NOT a painter.
Now for pencils and markers, I really do love Prismacolor. Pens, I use mostly the Uniball Visions and Pilot Precise V5. BUT...if you want to do water color over ink, Faber-Castell makes some fabulous Pitt Artist pens that are waterproof.

I've never actually used watercolor before, I don't know how well I'd be good at it XD

It'll take just a teeny bit of practice, but your work with acrylic tells me you'd be great at it. Oil paints are a pain in the face.

I'm pretty sure oil painting is the best way to immediately frustrate yourself.

I am a art supply maniac, to the point that I read up a lot of brands' review and end up buying nothing. XD ha!

Though, you should be mindful that acrylic and water color are not entirely the same.
They produce quite different effect.

Well she was bringing up watercolor because I make most of my acrylics look like water color.

I know this technically isn't a type of paint, but I normally work in online paint programs, like Sumopaint. I'm not very good with real paint, but I prefer online applications simply because there is no mess involved and any mistakes can easily be reversed through the "undo'' button or other erasing tools that wouldn't apply in situations involving actual paints.
