I really never will be as good as her, but the truth is she's a better artist than me, and besides that, we draw in completely different formats, but that doesn't mean she has to constantly rub it in my face. D:
o_o ANYWAY... I also like to just do free stuff because that means I can just do it on my time and not other people's time. Whereas, with a shop, people would come and order, and I'd have to do the art, no matter what else I wanted to be doing, which I don't like. xD

I do really understand about the pressure of a shop I want to set one up here as a joint shop... but I never feel like I won't be able to do what they want and it's a bit of pressure, but on the other hand I will be forced to finish! Wow your computer must be older then mine... :shock: or it could be you family has a bunch of programs that they really need?

My sister can be really rude and a total smart ass. :(

Um yeah. My deviantArt is here. But I think that's all stuff that I've sketched so, its all better than stuff that I do for people on the computer, IMO, because the drawings I give to people are just scribbled in Paint. xD;

Aww your stuff is cute! You have really good sense of shading! Do you use a tablet? There is no WAY I could ever do that in paint with a mouse. The only thing I could ever do in paint is pixel dolling, never anything like that! *shake's fist at your sister* she should be more supportive

Yeah - I have or have tried other art programs, but OpenCanvas has stayed my favorite... I'm going to try "SAI" sometime, though, as I hear that's also good. :) OC is also far less likely to crash and eat your work. XD;

umm What file names are those? A girl told me once I could see them on a viewer but I didn't find it in the program. I would love to see them! I need all the help I can get >.<

I got one of the filenames wrong anyway. >_> ".wpe" files are the OpenCanvas1.1 files where you an watch an artist work on a picture. You can save one yourself by clicking the "Export" thing...... (The ".oe3" files are OpenCanvas 3+ version files. And since you don't have that, there's not much point in me uploading any. XD; )

I looked through all my .wpe files I still had and only found two I thought you'd be able to use to learn from... both are Legend of Zelda fanart pieces. XD;

If you like this image of Link and Navi then save-as on this .wpe file.

And if you like this picture of Shiek, then here is the .wpe file.

And if you'd like more, this thread on ConceptArts is all about sharing .wpe files. :3 And the artists who hang out there are way, way better than I am, I'm betting. (Assuming everyone who posts there has an account and all...)

No worries. :) Winter Birdies are commons, so the only time they increase in price is if you are buying them from the special event store, when they're 1/2 price. Once they're in the regular stores, their price never increases. :) (Or decreases.)

I've have been watching TONS of them (out of the ones that would still work) Though it seems that most them still are just amazing artists using one layer and a paintbrush >.<, I still got a much better idea of how to use the program, and I went on a little drawing spree.... :roll: Anyways I can't thank you enough! How do you make one yourself ? I thought it was "export event file" but it doesn't ever seem to let me select it :(

Well scanners kinda eat your work so I ended up wanting to re-do a lot of my work anyway. Plus tablets can be a space saver by using it as a mouse. Plus they can be as cheap as 25 bucks on sales and stuff... but on the other hand you would still need program space sooo yeah
it's sad when computers die... after my last one it was 2 years before I could get another one... It was a very dark time for me lol

Yeah when my last computer died, it was over a year before we could replace it. O_O;
It was awful.
Plus the only reason we could replace it was because my aunt was getting rid of hers. ><

I know how you feel. it's always after I combine a layer that I realize what was wrong with it. Besides I love the flexibility they give me.
Yep! that was it! Sad that I can't record anything but my first draft, being that it usually takes me at lest a few days to finish a project.
