So I just discovered an interesting feature. I have an Eevee on my shoulder now... and I get something for walking with it or something.

Apparently, though I have yet to see it following me.

It's your buddy Pokemon. You can click onyour profile and find an option to change it to anything different. When you walk 3k, he will 'find a candy'. It's a way to evolve your rare pokemon if you have trouble finding them in the wild :)

Plus, 6 candies per catch, 2 candies for transfers, and Buddy candies 4x as fast :o

buddy candies? don't know what those are. but that's a nice update to know about. will have to use that to upate my pokemon go thread.

I love the few cosmetic changes they made. The type elements on the Pokemon's page for example.
With the buddy system, I now have my Dragonair! ♥
I caught a Gengar, several cubone, a Marrowak, and several different sized Meowth from this event!
Do the sizes matter to you guys? I'm not really sure why they matter in the game.

XL pokemon are slightly stronger
XS pokemon are slightly faster

So I saw the new Pokemon update LIMITED EDITION SANTA PIKACHU, Santa Riachu along with more added Pokemon so I went all over town well A FEW TOWNS actually to catch me a Santachu returned home empty handed and well obviously my HOUSE is the Santa Pikacu hotspot cause I caught a few and they keep popping up like crazy plus I got my Pikachu trophy WOOHOO..... anyone else got a new Pokemon from the update yet????

I miss having a smartphone. Got up to level 15 and just started being able to take over Gym's fairly easily then it died.

I caught 2 Santachus, and I have 4 Dittos.

I'm farther behind you Lavina, My tablet wouldn't let me even make my character.

I really enjoyed this game for the first few weeks, but it was just so badly managed and executed. I reached something like level 18 and caught all the Pokemon available in my region, then gave my account away to my 7 year old niece so she could flex on everyone at school, hahah. Those were good times, maybe it'll be worth going back now then Gen 2 is out...

Is anyone else still playing Pokemon Go? These Legendary raids are KILLING ME! I've been in 9 raids, 5 articuno and 4 Lugia. We've won 8 of them, so I had a chance at 8 legendary pokemon and I caught ZERO! Some guy that works at the cell store in the mall was showing us that he has over ten of each legendary AND he has two accounts, with more. And I'm over here like, can't catch a single one. My friend did two raids and caught an articuno. My team's bird. She's team Valor and hates articuno, but she caught it. I'm just so frustrated.

People in my state are literally driving all over the state just chasing raids and like, as much as I want one, I don't have the time and gas to waste. Not to mention, once you get to a raid, you have to wait for everyone else to get there and so you're there for anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour just waiting.

I'm sad that we only got a stinky week to catch Lugia and Articuno when there's no way I'll be able to catch them now. And yet other people are catching dozens of them! And then without a break they're gonna release the other legendaries for a week each, and I probably won't catch them either. It's just really frustrating and I needed to rant about it!

Hope other people are having better luck at this than me!

Yeah, Legendaries are raid only.

I missed out on Articuno, too, sadly. I tried about eight times last week and failed to catch on each. And the game glitched us out of winning a Lugia battle... but I think they'll be around for all three weeks.

I DID manage to get a Moltres today! It was my third raid of the day, but I got it! :D

Awww, I'm sorry, Shadami! But yeah, you definitely have to do raids for the birds. And you need a good handful of people to be able to execute it well. And even then there's only a 3% catch rate.

uuugggh . that's gonna be such a pain. I'm gonna do the same thing i did when i was little and just getting the games. pretend i have the legendaries even though I don't since i have no hope to get them and i just want to collect them all. xD i don't want to raid or gym i just want to walk and take pictures.

Okay, so all the legendaries are now available for an additional two weeks. So far my count is 6 Zapdos, 3 Moltres, 2 Lugia and still ZERO freaking Articuno! I did two articuno raids in a row today and I didn't catch any, but I caught another moltres that I didn't need. I've participated in 7 articuno raids and still can't catch one! And that's not counting the two raids I showed up at and the jerks had already done the raids without me! It's ridiculous how some groups will make you wait for so long to get everyone there, and others will just run the raid as soon as they have enough and leave.

Plus, sometimes I just don't feel like driving out to wherever the raid is that everyone is heading for. People are driving all willy nilly all over the state. And we are a tiny state, but that doesn't mean I have the time or inclination to spend four hours on the road catching pokemon.

Anyway, I think Pokemon Go is only tablet friendly if your tablet has an internet connection. So my mom can do it on her ipad, but I'd need to set up a hotspot to do it on my tablet. I've seen a lot of parents doing that with their kids. Set up a hotspot and let the kids connect with their tablets to do raids, but it's really kind of hit or miss since the tablets have shitty GPS. Sometimes the kids will be standing right on top of the gym and their characters are flying around the map, staying just out of range of them being able to participate in the raid.
