Gaia was way too laggy for me. I just gave up on it pretty quickly. I earned the spider tattoo and that was it.

I'm doing the vampire thing right now - I think I've gotten all the items... I'm not to the top of the rewards meter yet though.
I'm almost to the top level.

I know a lot of people are complaining about Gaia's event, but it's a lot less laggy than past events have been, and yes there are glitches but it's to be expected... the event itself I think is excellent. I dunno, maybe that's just me and my newbish stupidity...

I finally figured out how to get the items from trick or treating.
It was glitching and I couldn't figure out what was wrong, but I got around it.
The Jack items this year are really cute.

What I don't get is why Gaia doesn't rent use of a server or two for a week. They should be able to find someone to rent it for that time frame, and since their ads should pay more for the page hits, they should make enough to cover it. The extra server or two should reduce the lag drastically. Instead, we go through this every time, since we have so many people all trying to do it at once.

xD yeah but lag is half event. It makes it more challenging.

It makes it completely impossible for people with a slower internet connection. :evil:

They're always buying new servers though xD. I think in the long run renting them wouldn't be a great idea, since then they wouldn't even own them...

@indigoat: Yup :D. Actually it's harder to level up as a human than as a vampire since there are so many humans, but they don't want to be healed xD. I've got a vampire account, my main, and a mule is working up the scale as a human... xD it's fun though.

I haven't gotten any candies yet to get my jack items. ;_; That's the best part of the events, for me. xD

I'll admit that buying them would be better, but if they don't think they have the server demand to keep them, they could at least do something about the temporary lag they create with the events. It usually seems like their answer is "We'll ignore it till it goes away."

Is it just me, or do the vampires not fight back as much? Or does it just seem that way because of the huge imbalance in numbers?

as I have no intention for my cosplay mule to become a vampire I'm just going to use her for to get all the human items and not risk my lovely vampire avatar.

Concidering I'm dressed up as V on Gaia for the 5th, and you can't see a single bit of flesh, it really doesn't matter to me which I am. I was doing human because it was the first thing open to me.

I just wanna see if the items are different xD. The skin actually looks cool though on my main, the eyes aer kind of sinister and it was already wearing the fedora-style zoot suit hat, you know, over the eyes, so that looked really sweet <33.

I think, Chexala, it just seems that way. Trust me, the vampires are fighting back plenty. But there's also the fear that they'll get turned back into humans if they ... er, stick their necks out too far by attacking outside of the Von Helsing manor.

The items are different, from what I can gather. Some of the vampires were complaining about how cool the human cloak is. e 3e

yeah, I'm really just frequenting the threads where people say they want to get bitten and won't attack.

Be thankful I'm not on. Those "I won't attack you" threads are the only ones I was able to get hits in before they were all taken.

I pretty much am going around biting people who want to be bitten, and then leaving. xD

Yes, and such threads are abundant, cause everyone wants to be a vampire. It's' really funny, it's kind of the complete opposite of other events where it's like 'damn them vampires' and 'damn them humans'. Rather it's 'bite the humans so they become vampires and they can help out!' and 'come bite me! come bite me!!'

It's almost scary in its irony...

I like it when there's a little cooperation, it works out better for everyone in the end. xP
