Henna is a plant based dye than can be used on hands or hair and is generally found in the Middle East and far East (India is the one most people know).
It looks like this (although this is before the paste is removed)

Ah, lots of people why I use it now and again, because most people just use it on special occasions like Eid or something. I like that you can have it on for a while and when it fades, have a totally new pattern. Much better than tattoos

Yeah. It's not permanent. It fades after a while.
But yeah, not a lot of people running around with henna in Texas. :) But I think once I get a more permanent job, I may push it a little.

same thing, I don't like doodle on body. I like it clean and fair.

and yeah, the only difference is that is permanent. Has permanent anything to do with design aesthetic?

For me it is. I like the body as a temporary art canvas. I don't like it as a permanent display. I also don't like ink UNDER the skin. It gives me the willies (though I have two piercings in each of my ears, so don't ask me why).

I highly recommend it. Doing the zentangle stuff (so happy to have a name for it! Thank you Shadami!!) kind of...keeps me mellow. No other are really does that for me.
