@ Neuza: Don't get discouraged. I've been out of college for nearly two years now and applying to jobs. I never really got reposes to any of my applications before this one. I didn't think I did that amazing at the interview either. I'm quite certain I was the only one who applied so I really think I just got lucky. You'll get your break too, it's just hard to be patient.

That job does sound really lousy but at least you've already had the experience of an interview and you know not to set your standards too low.

It was damn lousy, agh, so glad I got out of there while I could. I know what you mean though, and I'm trying not to lose patience and it the mean time I send resumès left right and center. XD Provided I assume I'd like to work there. I don't send out for call-centers, for example. Not anymore. D:

@ Neuza: Then you're already doing better than me. I didn't send my applications out very often because honestly, I couldn't find the kinds of jobs I was looking for. I'm with you though, I'd never want to work in a call center. I think this job will involve some phone stuff once I'm trained but that isn't the main purpose of my job.

@ Charmless: Hello. ^_^

I know that feel Neuza. Had one job last spring, got fired quickly due to... stupid stuff, and I'm stuck looking for a job. I send in applications when I can, but it's not very often due to the fact that my town is so small. About the only two things I don't normally send into are fast food (except for once when I caved, still got nothing) and factories, though.

Hey Charmless and ShadowDemon!

I hate job hunting. I need to look for a job, but there's barely anywhere hiring up here. I'm hoping to go to university in September though, so since I'll be in a city I'm hoping it will be easier to find work.

You might even be able to find a job on campus. I worked for the campus catering company in my last year at school but there are plenty of other jobs on campus like in the dining halls and the library. It depends on the school though. Sometimes those jobs are reserved for students from very low income families and I'm sure there are some campuses that just don't offer jobs. You could try contacting your school to see what sort of opportunities they have.

@ Charmless: Yep! At my school it was pretty hard to get one of the on campus jobs because so many people wanted them. A lot of the time you had to apply like the semester before to get them because there was such competition.

@ Wolfie: LOL, that's exactly what I was thinking. ^^;

Good for you for not just doing what you're told! It was just not meant to be then.
