I was talking to my friend about Italians. Then that made me bring up Mario x]
anyway, she was telling me how she hates it now, but loved the original.

Anyway, just gonna type it out like this from here on out:

Her: Original was great.. you played the original on the nintendo 64, right?
Me: Um... what?
Her: Yeah, it was for the N64.
Me: Well I think that was the first 3D one.. but the original is from the 80's.
Her: Um.. 3D? When the N64 was out 3D wasn't even thought of!
Me: ... okay, when was it out then?
Her: hmmm.. the mid-80's I believe?
Me: .. Nintendo had a different console - their first. It was called the NES, I believe.
Her: That was like a test, it wasn't even an official console.
Me: WHAT?!
Her: mhmm.
Me: then why does my granny own one?!

So.. PLEASE tell me I'm right.
The original Mario = NES.
3D games = N64

.. or is my granny a special secret agent?

Yes you are right. You had Mario Bros 1, 2 & 3 for the NES which were the most famous, but there were around 11 games based on Mario. You also had a few for the original GameBoy that came out in late 80s/early 90s and had multiple Mario games.

After that, you had the SNES, which had 12 different games based on the Mario series.

 That's the funniest story I've heard in a while! :XD Exactly what Random said though, NES came first. Just like the egg. Or was it the chicken...

*dying laughing* That's really funny, the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) wasn't an official console... Yessss, yes it was. I remember when I got mine, in I think 1990 or so, and being addicted to Duck Hunt and, yes, the original Super Mario Bros. And then came the Super Nintendo, and after THAT was the Nintendo64. You're correct, that the first fully 3D Mario game was for the N64. It was just called Mario64 if I remember right.

Okay good, I thought I was going crazy!
Especially since my N64 is sitting in the living room and I was just playing my Grannie's NES.
It irritated me because when I tried ot prove her wrong, she wouldn't even listen.
"Trust me, I have tihs friend who knows everything about video games."
:headdesk:
Whoa, the SNES had 12 Marios? Jesus.

I would, but grannie's console is a state away, so she should just use the VC on the Wii.
But she won't, she's close-minded.
