It's not spring time for everyone, and some of us are really feeling the chill about now.

So, my fellow south hemispherians.... Bundle up and hang out here for some (hopefully) warm fun!

Wow, it blows my mind just how different the world really is in different places. While I was in Rome I met 3 people from New Zealand, one guy was a tall blond haired guy who looked like a viking. He got soooo drunk the first night when he, I, and 7 others went on a pub crawl even though in Italy every cafe is a bar.... it got chilly that night though too here in Rome. Im near Napoli now.

Haha. New Zealand is very diverse looking. Everyone is an immigrant somewhere along the line, and we all know it.

Birds? Oh! And the tuatara, and two species of bat... lots of insects. Do you mean people? The Maori were here first, but even they weren't here overly long in terms of history. Only 800 years, in fact.

Thats interesting, are they like the aboriginals of Australia? I would love to be there to see the filming of the hobbit movie too.

Not particularly. Like I said, they haven't been in New Zealand that long, and the Aboriginals have been around since like, the dawn of everything. The Aboriginals are also more obviously African in origin, where Maori are closer to south Asians/Polynesians.
