Hi everyone~! *waves*

It's late May, soon to be June, and thoughts of summer are skyrocketing. That means things related to summer are starting to appear. In abundance. People are resuming their summertime habits and summer events are starting to appear. Usually, there are telltale signs that summer has taken hold of a place, and intends to stay until the fall, and they're everywhere.

How did I know that summer decided to come (and possibly stay)?

Spike started playing the Star Wars movies. They play them throughout the summer, and we almost never get through the summer without watching a portion of one. XD It also has been getting really hot, so my parents opened the pool the other day. And the hamsters are currently sleeping outside of their hutches, trying to keep cool underneath all that fur. And the constant hum of cicadas has resumed. It's mostly little stuff that I'm noticing, but it all tells me summer's on it's way/already here.

So, Menewsha, what signs of summer have you been seeing?

the ants decide it's too hot outside and migrate in to suck up all the airconditioning!

Ah, the ants! D: They're migrating inside here, too. Especially the big-and-extremely-creepy ones. o.o

i ran over the anthill and now they are paying me back.
i heard lemon discurages them.
.....these are determined ants.
sashie-belle's puppie food bowl is a big summer vacation destination!

I see... Our group of ants usually target our family room, since that's where we eat most of the time. >w> Usually Dad has to spray bug repellant around the house. It works most of the time. >.>;

Most of the time, the local flies try to scam our air-conditioning. D: So we usually have at least one flying around the house. >w> I don't think that's going to be much of a problem now, however, since our newest little kitty loves to chase things, especially flies. :D

they look psycho, too, when they are ready to pounce.
i see nothing and then they jump on them!

Haha, yeah. XD Our newest, Cleo, loves to pounce and play. She is absolutely adorable when she goes to pounce. She wiggles her tush, and then jumps several feet in the air. XD She's actually rolled herself off the stairs when playing. Our other kitty, Alley, is just like "yeah, okay, whatever." XD She just lazes around in the sun, and when she gets too hot, she just lazes around in the shade.

The burn bans and water restrictions start coming out. Gotta love West Texas.

You know summer's coming when the pool opens and you fear the little kids will screw it up by pouring bubble soap in it

I know its summer when... Wait. Its always summer in Florida.

You know summer is coming when you start getting sunburned...

You know it's summer when you have to hide out in air-conditioned rooms, basements, and pools and avoid rooms with no AC at all costs. XD Also, when the Air Conditioners go in the bedroom windows, that's a pretty good indicator of summer, too.

you know that's right!
the internet guy told me to paint the under portion of your rail a sky blue color.
for some reason they won't buil their nests on that color.
i guess they think it's the sky.
i'mma give that a try this year.

You know summer is coming when you can't wait to go to your job just so you can be in air conditioning.

And when they open up all the bathrooms at the beach. :3
