No but I am waiting til I turn 18 xD lol. It would be kind of difficult for me since my small town has no big banks so I would have to have money sent to me through walmart in college.
ahh!! i'm planning to learn german too. honestly im trying to learn the basics of any language i can get my grubby little hands on.
Languages are really exciting! As you learn more others may become easier.
I wish I could say I'm learning German and ASL for myself, but mostly they're for any kids I have in the future (foster, adopted, or otherwise). I kind of have complicated probably-wont-happen-like-planned-at-all kid plans.
My resolution is I want to hand in every single assignment on time!

My parents taught us a bit of ASL as little kids but I've forgotten it all.

Yeah, when I did my practicum at the pre-school we did songs with ASL. It seems fairly common to start a little bit with young children but not to continue it.
In elementary school one of our teachers was fluent, or nearly so, and set up an ASL club for us to learn. I can't even sign O' Canada now though. I wish I kept up with it.
New year resolutions or resolutions in general don't sit well with me maybe because my life is filled with colorful chaos hehehe so i just try my best to become a good person while reminding myself that i am a human being and i will make mistakes so i will have to forgive myself before i demand it from others
I am a Muslim too so...
OH! I thought you were Christian because guests at Christmas time
I stopped doing New Years resolutions a few years ago because I could never stand by them after a month. The last one I had was to stop swearing so much, nope that didn't work out. So if I were to do one for next year I'd start writing more.

I would have one similar to that. Mine would be to actually finish a NaNoWriMo challenge. I have yet to complete a goal ;~;.
For me, when I have troubles completing goals, it's usually because I write a goal but not a plan. Breaking it down makes all the difference in my goal writing.
I haven't done these is so long! Mostly because I am really bad at followign through, so I don't do New years resolutions
You all must hold me to this... I am counting on ya!
RL
1.) Get healthy
2.) Successfully give up gluten for good!
3.) Adopt a baby(I would LOVE to have a baby, but that isn't looking feasible at this point.) or at least start the process.
MENE
1.) Get more CIs!
2.) Buy more shoes!
3.) Post moar!
I'm sure there are TONs moar! but I am being lazy!
oh man, i completely bomb nanowrimo each year. i start off okay but lose motivation real fast. still, if i count up my word counts from each year and put them all together you could pretend that i won
i've actually been studying latin and i'm also cambodian so i know khmer (or at least, i can understand it) and i've been working on taking french and german on duolingo (a really cool website for learning languages). asl will be harder since i think i'd have to find real classes or actually motivate myself to look up learning tools and such
Oh gosh. I have a fair number. Though I'm more of a goals person so maybe they're not resolutions per se? What's the difference? I'm not really sure.
I only have a few that are for the year like read 50 books or 15,000 pages, a monthly money saving goal, journaling every day (at least three gratitude statements), regular poetry or song writing, and sort out all my boxes and donate a bunch.
The others I do quarterly. So these are for January first to March thirty first.
- Get 90+% in my math course
- Read Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
- Get into doing dishes daily (I'm a terrible neglectful person)
- Take that home business weekend course
- Knit or crochet for at least 2 hours each week
- Start meal planning (at least make the plan in February and use it in March)
- Study German for at least 10 minutes a day
- Use Khan acadamy for at least 10 minutes a day
- Make and use a proper filing system
- For at least February have a spotless kitchen
- For at least March have a spotless bedroom
And I'm still thinking of more.
Maybe I shouldn't. Haha. @-@
i have not been able to figure out khan academy. teach me@!!!!
umm well.. i managed to set up account for my girls (and promptly lost the account +passwords that i wrote down somewhere) and beyond that.. i haven't done anything. cause what???

Okay, so when you sign in you'll be on a home page that is your dashboard. Your dashboard displays recent things you've been working on. Mine has a section stating "Algebra Basics; 14% mastered; 24/81 completed" and five others.
When you start you wont have these. Instead you'll go to subjects in the top bar, click, then hover over a subject and select the unit or subcatagory.
You can hover over science then click biology. A page will come up listing the units. You click one and it'll guide you through the unit with videos. Between some videos you'll have practice problems to encourage learning. Often it'll want you to get three to five right in a row in order to progress through the unit. You can always go back to previous videos if you need to.
To accept growth and movement wholeheartedly
Love myself irrevocably, as I love the world and others
Work hard and learn every day Live each day passionately - be an active participant in your life, not a bystander
Accept your position of equal footing in the world - you are not less (nor are you more)
Breathe - if you don't, you'll die
I believe that if I live well and with love, everything else will fall into place (as they have been!).
my 'new year' started at the end of October, but a new calendar year is good to see as well!
