It is not fun. It's more frustrating than anything, and the SO tells me to stop watching her, and I really should. My sister is greedy and pays me next to nothing for watching her, while they both work. If I stopped though, she'd ask my mum, and my mum would do it, and then she'd not sleep because she works, and it would be a whole friggin' mess and I'm so over it all.

Yeah, it's better than nothing, but the kid is pretty horrible most of the time, because they give her free range at home, and don't really discipline her.

That is the worst! Kids need discipline! At least a time out or something if they are the kind who don't believe in spanking.

Like she's not quite two, so I know they can be brats, but she's just bad. They don't teach her no much, and they still feed her like a baby so she throws food all over, and what not. It's annoying.

They don't care, so it's up to me to try, but when I only have her up to five days a week, and up to 8 or so hours a day, it's not enough, because they undo everything. Like she whines a lot, so they give her the paci, but she's going to be two so they shouldn't be using it to soothe her at this point. She needs to learn to play with toys and distract herself. -.-
I guess maybe I'm kind of a hard ass, but I want my daughter to be independent, and learn to do stuff on her own, and not rely on me for everything. She's not even four, but if she needed to (I never would) she could be home by herself, take care of all of her needs, like shower, feed herself (actual food), use the bathroom, dress herself and pick out clothes, and even entertain herself.

I suppose it is, mine likes it, but I know it's not for every child. Though all kids need some independence, and my niece has NONE. -.-

My girls are pretty independent themselves. They get hungry, I tell them to get get food. They can heat up leftovers themselves.
If something is too high, they just scoot a chair over to reach it.

Yeah, that is the only true barrier to mines independence. She is SHORT. She will be four in a few weeks, and she's still in like 2t stuff. :/

You;d think so, but apparently not. A lot of kids I've seen are clingy little beasts.

Yeah, my girls are shorter because they are twins. Twins are normally shorter (unless they have tall parents).
I am only 5 feet tall myself.
