Howdy gang - happy Friday!

For today's pick, I went out looking for a good contemporary avatar. You know, something "modern" and "real-looking" like one might see out in the world right now. Amidst all the fabulous fantasy-esque creations out there, I found this beauty:

Knerd: has done a fantastic job creating a realistic modern-day seasonal avatar for us! She could be an RL friend who I met for coffee at a cute little coffee shop on the coast near my hometown - the kind where you can grab a drink and then meander down the path to the seating areas overlooking the waves. They haul in potted trees for the patio at Christmas time to help bring the holiday in. It's a chilly day, too - you can tell from the steam coming off her drink and her rosy cheeks. The disheveled hair tells us it's a bit windy, too - very coastal indeed! :)

This avatar also holds up to AC scrutiny - the colors are balanced perfectly, without sacrificing utility or feeling. That's no small task!

An all-around masterful contemporary avatar, Knerd! Congratulations!
