Historic | Comedy | Action/Adventure | World Saving | Era Warping

"The good guys always finish last.
And, by then, the world will be gone.
Hence, the need for the bad guys who...
don't give a shit about the rule book."

Time and memory, frozen in crystal…

The world that we live in has been shaped and molded by the events of the past. But what is to happen when those events are suddenly removed from the timeline? Eras will collide and nations shall fall under this distorted and warped era that is now becoming the present.

Unbeknownst to all, an evil scientist discovered a way to travel back in time. Needing to collect seven rare items from seven distinct eras, this scientist traveled back in time so that those items could be harvested to create his Dooms Day device - a device that will allow him to rule the world.

The planet Earth realizes that a change had begun as things keep phasing in and out. People start disappearing and memories start fading. Time seems to have stopped, too.

And then things got worse.

Dinosaurs, deceased creatures of a far past, now roam the land. Villainous men from the past are now terrorize the future. England's gone back in time and Japan seems to be wild and feudal. Things from the past are now becoming the present and it's starting to get topsy-turvy. Everything's hazy and what was known seems to be fading.

The textbooks of the past are going blank and the scientists of 2014 are trying to stop the erasing. Nothing seems to be working.

Someone suggested killing the dinosaurs and modernizing the regions set in the past. A band of men from all areas of the world were drafted and set into battle. Their fates, although not death, were just as disappointing. Unable to stop the ripple in time and put an end to the paradox, the world turned toward religion to save them from devastation.

One holy priest, while sleeping, is given a vision on how to save the world. Seven dangerous men whose faces were easily identifiable were needed to save the world from being erased completely.

Upon presenting this information to the world, these seven criminals are called out of hiding, out of their prison cells, and out of the areas that kept them. Told that they can "use any means necessary," these seven are sent to the North Pole with the hopes of receiving a message from the heavens. The northern lights, which will transfer the message down to these seven, will explain it all.

Seven individuals marked with each of the Seven Deadly Sins are to be the heroes of the world. They are to travel back to seven different eras and cause certain events to happen. They are to correct the timeline by any means necessary. To ensure that the timeline is corrected after their correcting (making it historically accurate), these seven must remove an item that does not belong. They, too, must build a device that will thwart the device being built by that evil scientist who caused this whole rift in time.

Right now, the seven heroes have gathered at the North Pole and are waiting the hour of the devil - 06:06:06 AM. Once their clocks reach that time (it should be noted that these seven are the only ones, save for the scientist's seven henchmen and himself, that have functioning clocks), they will receive their mission and travel back to their first world that needs saving - the Dawn of the Dinosaurs.

Time is of the essence. Each time our Seven Sins fail, they are reset to the beginning of the era and must start over. As expected, things are bound to go wrong and laughs will be made, rules will be broken, and lives will be destroyed. But, if lucky, it should be worth it in the end. As the world rests in the hands of those seven who are the embodiment of the Seven Deadly Sins.

By joining as a sin, you agree to be a temp-GM for the world you pick. If you want to travel back to Feudal Japan (someone better), you will get to decide what item they need to build the Anti-Doom's Day device as well as what they need to do to "fix" history.

By joining as a virtue, you agree to be a ruthless hunter that will do anything to make the sins fail. You might turn against the scientist, too. Remember, it's the honest ones you can't trust because you never know when they'll stop being honest!

By joining as an other, you agree to using your role to assist the plotline. Whether your role is serious or for laughs, you will make certain that you stay true to this character and help make the story enjoyable and interesting.

[ The Beginning of the End ]

The world as we knew it was on the verge of collapse and no one saw it coming. It was a scary possibility that the humans only joked about. When the year 2013 rolled around, the talk of the end seemed to become more of a joke than ever. It a real shame though, especially since they have no idea that the only hope for survival laid in the hands of seven sinister individuals who, should the treasure during the journey prove more valuable than the end result, might quit the game and doom all.

My name is Yuera. I am the goddess of time and space. It is I who sent you seven a vision of destruction. It is I that summoned you to this frozen wasteland.

You seven are the only hope for survival, for the salvation of man. By becoming a part of history, you will redeem yourselves in the future. Those sinister actions you performed? I can erase them from the world. You can return to your previous life and cast away the life of crime. Or, if you prefer, I can permanently cover up your wrongs and make you light righteous, though I do hope that as you travel across time and space you'll come to realize that a life of good is greater than a life of evil

The temptation to veer off the path will be strong but you seven are stronger. Each was hand selected by me because I can see the good within. Despite what you believe, I know there is light. I can feel the hope. Man, life, destiny -- it rests within you. Your hands are the very foundation of all that could become of life. You are the master builders of the future. Your minds, though corrupt, are keen with perfection. You have what it takes.

Your journey across the eras and time will have confrontations. Hunters will seek to kill you and, if they do succeed in finding and killing you, there will be no starting over. The magic in the weapons of those that hunt you down is the only thing that can permanently kill you. So, please, watch each other's backs. You'll all need to survive to save the world.

Now, go forth and find yourself in a foreign, interesting land. Seek out seven rare items that will allow you to make an anti-doom's day device.

Your first stop is a time where large beasts used to roam the land. Fierce teeth and long necks will surround you. Be careful not to burn in the lava or become someone's dinner or you will reset your mission, forcing you all to start over. With each start over, the item you seek will be relocated so use caution. Moreover, with each reset, things will become far more difficult. Time will go by faster and you'll be limited to mere hours instead of days. Screwing up will ultimately fuc-- ahem, ruin everything.

Again, good luck and my your sins prove to be most useful....

Ice chipped away at his face. It was absolutely amazing how quickly it was happening. Ice kissed his nose to his lips and dotted his lashes and brows. He probably looked rather silly, but that didn't bother Davis Harvey. If anything, it made him fume, temporarily melting the cold away from his features.

Hellbent on arriving at the destined location, he hastened his pace. With each passing second, though, his body grew limber and numb. The blonde would surely succumb to hypothermia if he didn't warm up soon. To combat the cold, he wrapped his arms across his torso; rubbing his arms, he fought off the cold. It was useless though. Not even the thick, wool coat could keep the blasts of arctic air at bay. The wind bore into him and ripped his heat away with a roughness like sandpaper. As more ice pelted him, his skin became red and was soon on the very of blistering and oozing. God what he would give to be in Miami right now. The idea of bikinis and topless babes seemed to warm him some.

The whiplash from the raging wind combed his hair in a rather usual mess that seemed to be freezing in place. Eyes squinting and dry, the male tried to listen to the echoing, foreign words from the goddess. According to his watch, he was in the right place (perks of being rich and having a GPS watch).

Sighing, he looked up from where he stared. He had a question. Granted, it was one he couldn't ask for the stupid woman from his mind hadn't appeared yet. She was oh-so-useful. Not!

He had a vague idea about their mission. Such a fallacious thing and yet something he so willingly walked into. Perhaps it was the promise of fixing his life that drew him here? Or maybe he just really liked the cold. Didn't Disney create a movie about the cold once? Something with a song -- "the cold never bothered me anyway." He snorted. Yeah, if anyone wasn't bothered by the cold, then they were likely dead. Or stuffed.

Mulling back over everything, he recalled the message. To save the present, they needed to fix the past, which would alter their future. It was crystal clear, save for the part about a sin. A bit baffled by the idea of partnering up with a sin, the handsome man took a very stiff step toward one of the others.

Brows furrowing, he tried to find his voice but his lips seemed to be stuck together. Applying some chap-stick to them, he finally felt them melt away from one another so that he could converse with the others.

"Did anyone else notice she forgot to mention how we will carry out these missions?"

He spoke to no one in particular. It was merely a statement that he figured would never get answered. How could it, though? None of them knew. Hell, as he looked over the other six faces, Harv found himself wondering who they were and why he was to team up with them.

Harv's mind was searching for the answer to that question he just presented to the six others who were gathered around him. Sure enough, though, his question received an answer as a glowing force-field vaporized before them.

Warmth exploded from the streams of light that seemed to light up the dark skies. Swirls of color danced before their eyes and brought most into a trance. Why, even Harv found himself smiling at the beam of light -- such a gesture was far too gay for him, and yet it was happening!

Being the brave one (or perhaps the only one that didn't care about the consequences of his actions), Harv took a sure step toward the light. Tugging his right hand from its burrow within the coat's pocket, he wiggled his finger-less gloved fingers before the stream of light. Staring at it, he didn't move his hand into the rays until he blinked.

As if by magic, a pulse wave shot out from the ray of light. Instantly, all seven were engulfed by the mystical field. Their bodies began to levitate and their attire started to shift. No longer dressed in winter gear, the seven figures were now donning their Age of the Dinosaur era garments, which ranged from caveman attire to military grade gear. Harv was one of the lucky ones that was gifted with the camouflaged uniform that did not include a little cloth to cover his crotch. Thank god! Wait, then again, he didn't mind the idea of showing off to the sexy ladies....

Bodies phasing in and out, they are met with a familiar female voice - Yuera's voice.

Harv kept his head level, staring at his attire more as the voice spoke to them.

"Your first mission will end with the collection of a battery. After you have secured the battery, look for the beam of light, much like this. This is the Era Key Portal. It is the only thing that will allow you to era jump. Again, good luck."

Consumed by warmth and a rainbow of color, the seven float up toward the heavens. By the time their bodies reached the first layer of clouds, they are already transparent and on their way to the historia crux.

The historia crux, a stream of black and purple mystics, was littered with sparkling dots. Each of those dots represents a period in time. As the seven whizzed down the stream, they came to a jarring halt over one of the dots on the far end of the spectrum.

"Don't tell me," Harv spoke in a sing-sung voice. He loved being Captain Obvious.

Now in free fall, the so-called heroes "dropped in" on their first mission. Of course, with this drop, the mind probably replayed the life. Who would honestly assume all would be fine and dandy. They were literally falling from the sky without anything to slow or save them. As life flashed before their eyes, the sins would toy with the idea of changing their past. Regret, perhaps? Or maybe pride, with regard to enjoying their position in life? Either way, it appeared as if all were coming to an end.

That was, until they landed safe and sound.

"Anyone else shit their pants?" Harv looked around, cocky grin on his face. That grin soon faded though when he gawked at the new world around him. A world so foreign and strange. Odd sounds erupted all around them and leaves bigger than man fell from the sky.

"Awww yeah," he was beaming. "I've always wanted to try dinosaur. Now it looks like I can."

Stormy eyes observed the absolute whiteness below through plane's window. It was indeed blinding and with elegant move, woman put on sunglasses, sigh passing her lips. She was not worried or sad, mind you. Just irritated. This had to be the most ridiculous thing ever. Not only the thought of seven people saving the world was laughable, but the choice of meeting place was absolutely idiotic. And no doubt, so would be the other six that she was to team up with. She had seen them, in the announcement or perhaps, more accurately - plea for help.

So, why had she agreed to this? There was little choice, really, and perhaps that grated her nerves most of all. Sybille hated when she was played and pushed into things she wasn't interested in. Then again, nothing that didn't benefit her interested her. However, the fact she did have a clear idea how to use this for her own good remedied some of the sore aspects. Unfortunately, many other remained, including the bitterness of being dragged in this.

"Ms Lucier, please fasten your seat belt, we are landing," smiling air-hostess told her as she took away the empty coffee cup and with another sigh, Sybille did as told. Landing wasn't exactly smooth, which didn't help its owner's mood. Before exiting aircraft, she slid one last look around it. Her private jet was perhaps not as luxurious as that of most other celebrities, but it was elegant and functional. She'd miss having it available at any moment of day she wished. Perhaps she could convince the person arranging all of this to let her use it...

Of course she didn't have to carry her own bags to car that would take her to designated meeting place. She was bundled up in thicker winter outfit than she had ever seen in her life before getting called to here and even so, cold wind bit at her face where it wasn't covered. It was not a long drive, but her mind was racing along the car through the vast emptiness. Now that she was here, what was awaiting her? How would they be told to go about this? If they were meant to live here, she might say no. Although... It would be a shame. To back off such a perfect challenge. Her chance to prove that she was indeed the best, the one capable of anything, even saving world where others failed.

World would look upon her and see that she brought light, that she had suffered for them. Not too much to make her look weak, just enough to invoke admiration. Smile settled on woman's lips. Glory she righteously deserved would not pass her by. Driver got out of the car and opened doors for her and she climbed out, nodding at him slightly. The man went for her bags and piled them at her feet. With certain difficulty, she glanced at her wristwatch. It was not a simple, pretty accessory - one of the toughest watches in world, it could endure the extreme temperatures and other crisis.

It would be soon. Or so she hoped. She nodded at her driver again, who got in car and moved it further away, but not so far he wouldn't see what was happening. Out of her luggage, she picked backpack that she had particularly prepared for this. If all other of her things were lost, she wouldn't blink - clothes and makeup could be bought again. But these things, she actually needed. Not that she couldn't do without them, but it was better if she had them.

But whereas the cold didn't bother her watch, it bothered her. Sybille pulled furry hood further around her face with already numbing fingers. And then she focused on the six before her. They were much like she had expected, a miserable lot in their own ways. Like that blondie - had he not thought of wearing a hat or coat with hood when coming to a place like this? Pah. Idiot.

With this, her contemplation came to an end, however. While she didn't bother to honor blondie with answer, at this moment ray of light appeared and cautiously, she gazed at it. Moments later, the blonde man approached it and spiraled into new turn of events. As her clothes began to change, she gasped - insulted that something, magical or not, dared to touch her outfit. Thankfully, she got one of the more sane outfits*. It was tight and therefor revealing, but in camouflage and the knee high boots were sturdy and comfortable even after prolonged time of walking. But that she'd find out later.

Now she focused on Yuera's voice and pursued her lips slightly. Again with ordering them around... And not giving them any choice, obviously. Anger swelled in her. Who did this woman think she was!? And then they began falling and a wail got caught in her throat, before it could be voiced in any way. Dammit, she didn't want to die! But wait. Unless this was some trick, that bossy witch wouldn't let them die now, would she? Of course not.

Despite that, she couldn't help but gulp before the landing though. At blondie's inquiry, she grimaced ever so slightly at the crude words: "Of course I did no such thing." Tone said what the words didn't: only someone like you could get so uselessly scared and vulgar. Sybille touched her hair slightly, glad to find it still in the intricate hairdo she had formed not many hours ago. Or rather, in incredibly, impossibly far future. Perhaps she wouldn't be so happy if she knew her makeup was gone, but then again, she was confident she looked gorgeous without it as well. And in all honesty, it wasn't that far from truth. This woman had perfect skin, her eyelashes were long and eyes didn't need much accenting. Same with rest of her face.

Still, despite generally caring about her looks, she was far more focused on their surroundings right now. If she was right, then they were indeed very far from Antarctica not just map-wise. Blondie just might be right about taking on a dinosaur. Not something she particularly wanted to do, but, hey, you play with cards you were dealt with. Besides, she was master of cheating... She'd handle this.

Hopefully, she still had her backpack. If not, she wouldn't let it devastate her. If no one else did in a short moment, she'd be first to start moving deeper in the enormous jungle.

*The shoes are replaced by more practical boots, as noted.

Miles yawned. He didn't how he got here, and damn, it was cold. He swore he was just home. Sleeping. The one thing he loved. Asleep in his warm bed, and woke up to this. He was lying in the snow with a parka and a backpack lying next to him. He picked up the parka and shugged. He slowly put it on, zipping it up. He opened the pack, and peered inside. "....." That was a lot of grenades. There was a pistol in one of the side pockets. He found a gun holster as well. He slowly put on the holster and tucked the gun inside. He clipped on three grenades in it as well. He was tired already. That was a lot of work. He slung the pack over his shoulder, and hoped it didn't explode. Whoever brought him here supplied him well.

Miles looked around his surroundings. He noticed six others, and wondered what the hell was going on. "Um, could someone fill me in? Where are we and why are we here?" A light flashed and a heavenly voice answered his question. "Fun. I have to do work. Crap." Everything started to shift. "What the...?" His clothing changed to caveman garb and he covered his stomach. "Could I get something else??!" he called out. His outfit changed again. This time, it was military grade camouflage. "Thank you!" He felt a pang that he would have to pay back the favour. Shit. He was going to have to do work.

He landed safely with the others and took in his surroundings. "Shit!" he cried out. "Of course I did." he replied to the blonde man's question. It was dripping with sarcasm. He recognised this scenery...They weren't in the prehistoric era, right? If they were, he hoped his camouflage helped him hide from the OH SHIT DINOSAURS
He ran to a tree, grasping his pack. He did NOT want to be dinner. Granted, it was far away, but it was huge! Miles did NOT want to be seen to be eaten. He composed himself and looked at the others. "Soooo, we have to find a battery? I guess we better start looking! Let's uh, try the forest?"

It was cold. Which, of course, was stating the obvious. Emma knew that. But that was the only thought that crossed her mind. Cold. Freezing. She looked around at them all gathered there, it seemed no one was really all that talkative, at least not yet. And why would they be? They were strangers and had all been informed they were criminals and sinners. Like she didn't know that already. Judging by the fact that there were seven of them, Emma had a very strong theory they each represented a particular sin. Of course, she knew what hers was. A woman who used her body and femininity to achieve all manner of goals? What else was there for her to be other than lust? Though, it was hardly her own lust she represented- she was fairly certain she was far more representative of the lust of other. But that didn't stop her from using it to her advantage.

She was bundled up in warm coats, though they all still managed to somehow show off her very impressive figure. Everything on her was perfectly in place, even the wind couldn't seem to bother her curls. Wrapping her arms around her, Emma briefly thought about moving over to the blonde man and sidling up to him for warmth. She was certain he would let her. Actually.... that didn't seem like such a bad idea. Stepping through the snow with her nose a bright red, Emma began to make her way over to who she would eventually learn was Harvey. Unfortunately for her temperature, a bright light appeared just before she got to him.

And then he touched it. She supposed it was a natural thing to do, but part of her couldn't help but be annoyed. Emma's feet left the ground and it seemed they were off. Others might have been scared or against the idea of traveling through time, but Emma found herself to be rather excited. She liked nothing more than the idea of turning several men from history inside out with her... unique set of skills. The idea of emasculating powerful men from history, should they ever need to, and making them beg for her was quite thrilling to Emma. In fact, she was so busy thinking about it, she hardly noticed when they began falling.

It was only when they landed that she seemed to come back to the present moment. "That's disgusting. What is it with you Americans and your vulgar excuses for humor?" She asked, responding to Harvey's comment. Perhaps it was a good thing she hadn't cuddled up to him.

There was a breeze on much of her skin, which caused her to look down. Oh great. Of COURSE they'd put lust in something like this. Emma let out an exasperated sigh as she looked at herself in comparison with some of the others. THEY all had something practical. Well. At least she had something practical should she need to seduce a caveman. Although Emma was quite sure cavemen and dinosaurs did not, in fact, walk the earth together. At least she wouldn't be too hot, although the tan lines were not ideal.

Looking over at everyone, Miles caught her attention. He seemed to be quite frightened and scrambling about. "If a dinosaur were to come about, scrambling loudly up a tree won't be much help. You do realize how large they are?" Emma asked. Though she was being slightly taunting, her voice still managed to hold a sultry tone. Her accent didn't hurt either. "On a more serious note though, we should get looking."Emma moved towards Miles, standing next to him and waiting for everyone to make the decision to move. She wanted to get this mission done as quickly as possibly, and get out of this ridiculous outfit.

While the group chatted among themselves, Sybille retreated to the shade of huge fern. There, she inspected contents of her backpack, seeming absolutely engrossed in this although she was very aware of what the others were speaking. Woman strapped knife holster on her left hip and gun on right. Satisfied that everything seemed to be in its place, she looked around, trying to find some clues of where she needed to go. No one had bothered to tell them - her - where the battery was, what it looked like or even how big it was!

But it would be illogical if such an item was stored in open space so... Blue-gray eyes stopped at mountains in the distance. She could bet that there were caves and even if the stupid machine part wasn't there, they could offer shelter to her. And the view she would have from mountain top could give some ideas where to continue the search. It was no mistake than in her thoughts, she didn't mention rest of the group - Ms. Lucier had no plans whatsoever to stay with this lot.

She didn't like to work with group. It didn't mean she wasn't team player - obviously, she could be whatever she liked to be. But that was the thing - she didn't like to team up with others. Even her jewelry empire stood nearly entirely on her shoulders alone. Sybille was not willing to share her knowledge or her fame with anyone. Others limited her, asked questions she didn't feel interested in answering. They weighted her down when she was meant to fly.

Having decided her destination, woman settled down to one of the gigantic leaves and began carefully cutting out pieces from it. Since it was so huge, it was also thick compared to Sybille and didn't give in as easily as she would like, but she needed tiny bits anyway. She stored all bits in her bag and turned her attention to hacking down some grass from which she proceeded to cut in even pieces as well. Obviously, she had a purpose, as obscure as it may be. In this time, she still listened to other six, her mind working quickly to process all the information.

Considering they all had been deemed sinners and offered redemption, it probably wouldn't be wrong to assume that they each were representatives of a Sin. Her adopted mother had been quite religious and so had been the boarding school Sybille had grown up - not so much because she had spent lot of time there (only few years), but because of what she went through there. She smirked slightly.

The woman in cave woman's garb was probably Lust... There was something about the way she moved, talked and even looked at men that spoke of it in volumes. The guy that had been sleeping on snow just had to be Sloth or something of the sort. Sometimes, Gluttony could relish in freedom of relaxing too much as well. He had mentioned he hated working as well. Blondie could be anyone. And Sybille? She would deem herself either Pride of Greed. But she didn't have endless desire to own things, so she had a feeling it'd be former, not the latter. Honestly, she had no issues with that. Her pride wasn't without reason, after all.

Miles snapped his head up to a snarky remark. A woman dressed in caveman garb walked up to him. "I wasn't climbing up the tree, I was merely hiding behind it. Climbing is too much work. Also, why are you walking like that? Are you trying to seduce a dinosaur? If it's me, you've got another thing coming." He chuckled.

Words of sinners and redemption flew through his ears. So they were the seven deadly sins. Miles knew he was the sloth. No doubt about it. The woman in caveman garb walking around like her hip was broken was most likely lust. He noticed a woman cutting a leaf to pieces and wondered what sin she could be. The blonde man with the cracked sense of humour? No clue. He decided to ask everyone. "I know you all are thinking it. What sins are we? I'm Sloth, I'm sure."

His attention turned to the woman cutting the leaf. "What the heck are you doing? And why do you keep looking..." He turned his head to the direction and noticed the mountains. "Hey, hey! You better not ditch us. If I have to do work, you're coming with us." He started laughing. "It would really suck if we were looking for a triple A (AAA) battery. I mean, how screwed would we be?"

Miles suddenly got a pang of fear in his gut. Where the fuck would a battery be hiding in this place? Not fair, heavenly voice!

The creatures were made of darkness and nightmares; while Kali knew not what they really were, they were not something safe nor were they friendly. The chased her deep within the Caverns of Time before the youngest Keeper summoned up her powers and jumped deep into the Ether of the Timeline. With her, she pulled various artifacts that her powers deemed the most important to the timelines. If they were to be taken by those after her, time as the worlds knew it would be completely different.

As she jumped, everything went black. It was her first jump alone and she wasn't sure what to expect. Her consciousness faded from her and she felt herself slip away completely. It was like going into a deep sleep; it was painless, but there was still something missing. It was during this time that the Goddess left the form of the woman and reached out to those that could save her, Kali and that which her kind controlled.

Colors were spinning all around; not visually, but within the mind of the woman. She would feel hot one moment, cold the next; the temperature seemed to constantly change even to the extremes. This seemed to go on forever and yet end suddenly all at the same time. A firm, yet damp earth lay beneath the woman as she slowly came to.

Opening her eyes slowly, she closed them quickly, pulling her hands over them to keep the sun out. To say her head hurt was an understatement; it throbbed to the point where she didn't want to move. Her hands rotated to try and cover her ears from the ambient sounds around her; it was then she paused. It may have been the throbbing passed, or it could have been that she was distracted by something else, but Kali's head no longer hurt.

She scoot back so that she was sitting on her bare legs. Her eyes blinked slowly as she looked at the tanned flesh that covered her five-digited hands. She turned them around to look at their tops and backs; there was something about them that just seemed weird, not natural, but the woman couldn't figure it out. Looking past her hands, she took in the rest of her form; her slender body was covered in the furs of one spotted, tanned beast. The fabric on her legs ended at her mid-thighs as the material crept up the left side of her body, leaving a majority of her stomach exposed, before covering her chest before reaching the fabric that looped over her right shoulder as the strap of the cave-like outfit. Around her wrists and ankles were small curved bones, most likely teeth and claws of small creatures.

The sounds of breaking sticks and crushed leaves could be heard near the woman. Off in the distance, a loud roar that drew the woman's attention. The sound, it was familiar. A twig snapping near her, followed by a shrill coo drew the woman's attention back to her surrounding area. She didn't stand, but rather looked around the deep green foliage that seemed to surround her. Her ears worked to figure out where these creatures were; they were near, but that was all she could tell.

The world fell silent.

No twigs snapped, not beasts near her called to one another. Creatures at a distance continued their calls every so often, but the ones near her were quiet.

A hot, humid breath blanketed her exposed shoulders and back. Spinning around, Kali was greeted with a large, scaled head that had beautiful plumage on top of its head. There was a smile on the creature's face, it cocked its head very much like a bird, though never part its jaws to reveal the rows of sharp teeth. A coo-like rumble came from the creature, its long claw on one foot tapping on the ground before three others that had been hidden in the trees emerged.

The beasts did not seem like they were going to attack the woman, nor did they seem to radiate with fear. Rather, the one that had been at the woman's back lowered itself, her nose nudging her stomach to get her arms atop her head. Kali, catching on, gripped the beast's head and once she had, the creature slowly rose up until the woman was on her feet. The normally vicious pack creatures simply took their turns walking up to the woman, rubbing the length of their bodies against her as though they were cats.

After they did that, a few of them began walking past her, to disappear into the forest again before stopping to look back at her. The one the helped her up stayed near her as the others lowered their heads as though they were trying to look smaller and to draw her after them. Kali's brow furrowed as she asked, "What is it? Is something wrong?" The beast beside her planted the top of her head against the woman's back before giving her a slightly push. Looking back at the creature, there was a look in its eyes that seemed to plead with the woman.

When the three leading the way began moving again, Kali followed without question. The last raptor, evidently the matriarch of this group, actually stepped in front of Kali. She lowered herself to the ground, offering the woman a place on her back. Not being one to question the behaviors of raptors, she climbed on and as soon as she was settled, the beast stood once again. The raptor called to the other three and soon the small pack was running through the wilds of the forest.

Kali had to lay across the back of the beast to hold on and to keep herself from falling. The ride didn't seem to last very long though and soon the pack was slowing to a halt. The female that the Keeper rode lowered herself to the ground, allowing her to hop off her back before slowly walking forward.

At that point, Kali could hear a wheezing sound of wet, labored breathing. Moving away broken, blood soaked branches, she was greeted with the sight of the fifth member of their pack bleeding out from the massive wounds in its chest. Her brows knit together; based on the scene around the fallen creature, the pack had a run in with a larger predator. Likely the beast she had heard roaring not long ago; the smell of death was heavy in the air hinting that they were fighting over a kill. Trees were fallen, large foot prints everywhere and before her, a dying raptor.

The creature, though dying, began to get louder in its tormented cries. Kali's eyes widened at the shrieking sound before running over to it, placing her hand firmly on his rib cage. "Now, now," she cooed to the raptor. "You'll be fine, but you must hold still." Reaching to her hip, her hand bumped something wooden at first; glancing back she noted a staff she hadn't paid much attention to before.

Working around it, she pulled a pestle and mortar from her pouch, before retrieving a small bundle of herbs from the other. She began crushing them, using the blood of the beast to keep the mixture as a goop. As it began to thicken, she began to scoop it out with her hands and pressed it to the open wounds on the creature. Yet, the beast did not scream, in fact it seemed to cease its thrashing about and its breathing started to calm a bit. Kali went from one wound to the next, following the same pattern for each. She never removed the gunk as she worked, but let it sit to form a hardened shell over the wounds.

The icy wind cut at her like a blade as she trudged through the ice and snow. Seriously what the hell was she doing here when she should be some place warm? The woman wrapping her arms more tightly around her. As another blast of artic wind blow she felt it pushing her back. This was ridiculous why did the goddess have to pick such a freezing cold and barren wasteland and did she mention freezing cold? Pushing away the thoughts of the cold Ashleigh Corbin force her numb body to move forward towards her destination.

The snow was blinding, but she could just make out figures up ahead. It was relief to say the least, she hadn’t gotten lost in the icy wasteland. Reaching the group of people she stayed silent, only glancing at each of them. What a sorry lot they all were, herself included. She wondered who they were and why they were all brought together. They represented the seven sins. She knew what her crimes were, that didn’t really bother her as she hoped to strike a different deal with the witch if possible. Looking around again she could only guess who was who. She figured that she was either Envy or Greed, either one fit her. Envy more so than greed. Whether she represented her own envy or envy of others was anyone’s guess. For all she knew she represented both.

Things got strange rather quickly as a bright light engulfed them. The change in attire wasn’t totally favorable, but at least her cavewoman attire included bone armor for protection. She would have much preferred the military grade gear instead. Even so she couldn’t help, but to think ‘damn I make this look sexy’. Her self-inspection would have to wait as her attention was turn to the woman who had brought them all together. Giving orders again, who did this woman think she was? Ashleigh was rather annoyed by all of this. Then they began to fall. It was quite a rush, but damn it she didn’t want to die not yet. And definitely not like this. This had to be another one of the witch’s tricks.

The landing was softer than expected which was a relief. Hearing Harvey she wrinkled her nose in disgust. Really? Why did someone like him have to be part of all of this? Her thoughts drifted as the others began to talk. Fighting dinosaurs didn’t appeal to her much. Seriously would they even really stand a chance if they had to fight one?

“The sooner we get this over with the better.” She didn’t bother to move closer to the others, but remained where she stood. If no one else made a move, she would go ahead on her own. The woman was confident in her abilities. Being helpless was something she never was and never would be if she had any say in the matter. Ashe grabbed her backpack and began to take an inventory of the items within it. Everything seemed to still be there, good. Now to figure out how to conceal her weapons in her new attire.

There just had to be a vain woman like Sybille on their trip. And she just had to be the first to take a stab at his joking. To make matters worse, she took it seriously. Rolling his eyes with disdain, Harv let his eyes pull of the natural beauty and fall onto the others that were now teamed up with him. Would they prove to be as bitchy and rude?

Thankfully, no. Wait, make that yes. Well, half-yes? This guy was now up in a tree. Psh, Tree-Hugger, he mused while rolling his eyes again. Was there no one here that he could deal with? First a first-class rich bitch. Now a scaredy cat. Who was next to say or do something stupid?

NO!

NO NO NO NO NO!

Not the sexy woman in the group. Sure, Sybille was gorgeous but this woman (Emma) was sexy. And she was ripping apart his crude sarcasm. Were they all bitches? Was that the norm with pretty women? Needing to have a stick up their asses? He rolled his eyes again. She did save herself though, with her latter comment to Tree-Hugger. Maybe Foxy wasn't so bad after all. At least she appeared smart.

Coach was back to being weird and anti-social again. She was clearly Pride. Too good for everyone else in this group. Tree-Hugger, Sloth, as he stated. Foxy, Lust, without a doubt. His eyes moved across the way to land on a man with a lot of items on his person, gold items. Clearly Greed, especially from the way he was idolizing his attire. With a roll of the eyes (how many times has he done this now?!), he wondered what he was. He would have guessed Greed, but that was definitely the other guy. So what did that leave... Envy, Gluttony, Wr... the irony. Wrath.

Wrath. Yup, that was him. It was his gang-name so it had to be his sin, too.

Wait, why did he have to be the 'bad guy.' Sure, all sins are bad but wrath is up there on the list of the worst. Wrath is fueled by pride, greed, lust, and envy. Having all those things make your wrath worse. And he had all those things. Hell, he almost killed people how many times now? That one time was an accident, so he didn't count it. How was he supposed to know the guy would have a heart-attack and die when he held a gun to the man's head?!

That was beside the point. Eyes following Tree-Hugger, he sighed. "Triple As wouldn't be the worse. Lithium and Silver Oxide batteries are much smaller. Didn't you ever have a GigaPet or Taki... Shimi... things when you were younger? Those things took tiny batteries." He was sure his comment went unheard, but he didn't care. He was just making a statement on size.

It was clear the Harv now that these group was going to do their own thing and get in each others way. Didn't help that he didn't know any of them and none of these dweebs seemed interested in knowing each other.

"Let's stop and think before we do anything rash. And before we all run off and 'save the world,' why don't we get to at least know each other's names. I would hate to call Coach Bag Bitch, Coach the whole time. Miss Foxy Lady, Foxy. And you,"
he shook his head at Miles, "I don't want you call you Tree-Hugger."

With a step back, he flashed a grin and introduced himself. "Davis Harvey. Harv for short. Yankee. My gang name is Wrath so I'm going to go out on a limb here and sa-" the sound of leaves being cut was really starting to get under his skin. Did she HAVE to do that while he was talking? Someone else was picking dirt out from their nails. That noise was annoying, too. And then Gold-Boy was kissing his teeth with his tongue. Another annoying noise.

Brows quirked and eyes losing their sanity, he snapped.

"WILL YOU ALL JUST STOP!"

Harv grunted and looked at the three who were pissing him off. "God, you're all annoying. You bitch that I'm the gross one, but you're all just rude." Now, he cleared his throat and tried to start over. "Who are you all, where are you from, and which sin do you think you are. No, wait wait. I think I got this one."

"You,"
he pointed at Coach. "Pride." He turned to Foxy. "Lust." He didn't even spin around to point at Gold-Boy. "Greed." His finger went to Miles. "Sloth." There were two left. Gluttony and Envy. Clearly, the pretty woman before him wasn't Gluttony so that made her, "You're Envy." He turned to the last one. "So that means you're Gluttony."

Hand draping over his eyes, he pinched the bridge of his nose to flush out the wicked headache that came out of nowhere. "Now before we all run off and do our own-"

His brow panged. "WILL YOU STOP!"

Just as he whirled around to shout at Coach, a massive head came out of the thick, tall grass and plucked Harv from the ground as if he were a flower. In seconds, the massive carnivore swallowed him whole. With a roar, the Rex turned its attention to the others. Its lips painted red with Harv's fresh blood. A look of ceaseless hunger still lingered in the beast's eerie, heartless eyes. This thing was a killer, a true killer. It felt no pain. No fear. No nothing. It just eat and it mowed down Harv as if he were nothing!

Large, sprawled toes inching forward, the monstrous dinosaur snapped toward the others. But stopped just before eating Emma. Frozen, the creature glowed like a rainbow and the world became insanely white. The sound of a clock took over as the silence vanished.

Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock.

Falling from the sky again, the crew landed in their original grabs and original places. Backpacks weren't opened. Leaves weren't cut. Kali wasn't with her raptor friends; she was alone on her back. Everything went back to the way it was when the first got there. Why, even Harv was back.

"HOLY SHIT, DID I GET EATEN BY A MOTHERFU--ING DINOSAUR?!" Hands in his hair, he stepped from his spot and looked around the area.

A voice, her voice, Yuera's voice, came from nowhere. "You must not die. The more you die, the harder you mission becomes. If just one of you dies, everything resets and you have to start over. Each redo moves the item to a harder location. So please use caution in all you do."

With those new words of warning, Haarv crinkled his nose and rolled his eyes. "Oh sure, now you tell us. WHY WOULDN'T YOU TELL US THAT UPFRONT!" Peeved, he stomped over to where his bag was dropped and looped it up so it was on his shoulders. "Let's get out of here before I get eaten again. One putrid stomach was enough for me."

She paused to look at Sloth for a brief moment, smirk tugging at one of her mouth's corners in the most delicate way, before continuing to work. Hm, maybe some of them were more observant than she had given them credit for. She wasn't looking in the direction of mountains all the time, one longer glance didn't count as 'all the time'. Still, he had noticed and drawn the right conclusions. But she wouldn't give him any more regard than that until her task was finished. Thankfully, it shouldn't take much longer.

Meanwhile, Blondie had decided to step up and start talking. Of course he couldn't keep his trap shut and all that spewed from it was blatantly rude. Sybille resisted the urge to show just what she thought about the way he had called her. No one had rights to call her bitch. No one. (Alright, she knew she was one, but it didn't mean anyone got to call her that.) The woman gathered bits of grass and stored in her bag, on top of leaf cuts and turned around to face him, sheathing her knife. One hand propped on her hip, her pose was that of confidence.

He accused them of being rude and she was inclined to agree that at least nail picking was not only rude, but disgusting as well. Still, he had been first to cross the line with name calling. And when he finished pointing out their Sins, which slightly amused Sybille, she figured it'd be as good time as any to say her share. Before Blondie's head blew up. She could imagine animated anger vein pulsating on his temple.

"It seems like there are few things we do need to clear up," she spoke in tone that was nearly agreeable, pleasant smile playing on her lips while her eyes were ice cold. "First, I do not have to show you any respect, if you don't plan to give any in return." She paused, for briefest moment, now staring Sloth down. "Second, I don't do anyone's work for them, especially if they're not paying."

She never got to her third point when T-Rex nearly literally popped up. For moment, her mouth hung open at the scene before her, the horror not entirely registering and then she ducked, moving quickly to disappear in the grass. Hopefully, she'd find something to hide behind and wait this out. It wasn't like she could take the dinosaur out on her own with knife or even her revolver. And it didn't look like others were up for the fight either.. The thing had just eaten Blondie up!

And then it all went so bright, Sybille had to shield her eyes. They were where they had been few minutes ago, freshly landed in prehistoric era. She moved to grab her bag, biting back a soft curse when she found that the leaves and grass wasn't in it, then proceeded to strap her weapons on once more, mentally grinding teeth about new found information. For once, she shared Blondie's sentiment. "If there is any more information we might need to know, this would be a good time to share it," the woman bit out.

Then she turned to look at Blondie - Harvey was his name, but she thought that his hair color was perfect for his blunt idiocy - with quirked eyebrow. "Why don't you shout some more to attract another hungry form of wild life?" she asked in sweet tone. Seriously, if the woman that had thrown them into this and seemed to think she was their mission's leader heard anything they said, the loudness of their voice didn't matter at all.

Mikaela decided to address the third point of her speech that she hadn't gotten around to before due to the unfortunate accident with T-Rex. The thought they couldn't actually die was somewhat reassuring, but the knowledge of penalty they would gain instead wasn't so much. "I don't really care if you all plan to stroll through the grass aimlessly or head into the forest where you'll probably get lost as soon as you lose sight of edge, but I am heading to mountains for possible shelter and view point," she nodded her head in that direction, "keeping on the edge of forest for cover. If anyone wants, they can follow."

With that, she began walking. As much as she hated that her work with leaf and grass cutting was wasted, she'd go without a hat for a while more. Maybe she'd make one on her short break after few hours. She walked by Wrath (the brutal, short sighted sin seemed to match the man perfectly) and decided to add something in tone that didn't sound anywhere as conceited as her words, loud enough for the group to hear: "My name is Sybille Mikaela Lucier, by the way. Ms Lucier for you." The men most likely would not recognize the name, but the women... There was a high chance they would, if they ever opened any decent magazine or took note of ads.

God why wouldn't anyone just shut up, or at the very least, say something nice. Weren't heroes brought together to save the world supposed to like each other and be friends or something? Of course, Emma couldn't really talk- she hadn't been extremely sweet either, but she certainly didn't act so... so superior as everyone else seemed wont to do. And SHE was British, if anyone had an excuse to act superior, it'd be her. But she certainly was not. It was a waste of time in all honesty. Was she sarcastic? Yes, and a bit of a tease. But at least she wasn't vulgar, or worse, rude.

Emma hadn't intended to be a 'do your own thing' person, but she certainly wasn't fond of listening to orders, from anyone. She had a distinct disdain for those who thought they could order her around. There were reasons for that, but she preferred for everyone to just assume it was due to being an independent woman. Emma found herself largely watching everyone and saying nothing until the blonde, whom she'd later would learn is Harvey, prompted them to introduce themselves. Blue eyes widened when she heard him refer to one of the other women as 'bitch'-- what? What one earth made him think that was appropriate. Granted, the woman he was talking about certainly wasn't friendly, but calling someone on your own team a bitch was a terrible way to start things.

Once he got to her, though, she couldn't help but give him a grin. He thought she was 'foxy'. What a cute term. Looking over to him, she figured that was the cue to introduce herself. "Emma Hamilton". He further continued to introduce himself. Harvey. Such an American name. Wasn't there some comic book character named Harvey? In Batguy or something? Whatever, it didn't matter. He labeled himself at Wrath and at first Emma wasn't so sure about that, he was a bit rude, but certainly not the angry type.

Until he started yelling at everyone to stop what they were doing. She herself was merely standing there, propped against a tree, watching. But it seemed everything the others were doing was aggravating him. Dear god, this was going to be a LONG journey. Harvey seemed like he wasn't going to be shutting up anytime soon. "Goodness why is everyone here so angry constantly? she asked no one in particular as Harvey began to talk about how rude they all were. Finally he moved on to labeling their sins.

When he got to her and labeled her as lust, Emma counted help but smirk at him, pushing herself off the tree and moving towards him. "I believe you're spot on there, Wrath." she said, addressing him by his sin. Her voice had the same sultry lilt in it's undertones. Emma hadn't always spoken like that, but she'd spent so many years doing it by now that it came more naturally to her than any other voice. At least he seemed observant. That was a slightly redeeming quailty.

Clearly he wasn't THAT observant because she very soon watched as his body was swallowed whole by a monster. Quickly, Emma realized she was it's next target- after moving towards Harvey, she was the next closest person. She scrambled backwards, too scared to turn her back on it. Fortunately, she saw it freeze, so close that it's breath moved her hair. Confused, Emma stared at the massive beast stuck right in front of her. She didn't have long to look, however, as everything went white and she heard a clock ticking. What the hell?

A moment later, she found herself on the ground, looking up at the sky before standing up. Everyone was here, in the same positions they'd been in a few minutes earlier. It was as if none of it had ever happened. Before she could open her mouth to ask anyone else, the goddess spoke to them, explaining it all. Well of course, NOW she told them. Emma had to admit, she agreed with the next words that came out of Harv's mouth. She agreed with the woman known only as Pride at the moment, as her name had yet to be spoken.

"Agreed." She said, looking at Harv and Sybille "Why wouldn't she tell us that earlier? Is this a game for her? If they're so serious about us saving the world, why didn't they tell us up front? This seems a bit ridiculous. You can't just leave something like that out!" Emma expressed, looking up at the sky as if Yuera was there. Emma had some words she wanted to say, but she waited for Pride to finish before she said anything.

Emma was surprised when the woman said her name- she herself actually owned several of Ms. Lucier's pieces. They weren't cheap, but Emma had them- she'd received many gifts from her targets. "Well, well, well, it seems even the word's most premier jewelry designer isn't above saving the worlds, hmm?" Emma teased, though her words were not venemous "I must say, I'm a bit surprised someone so famous is here, but I will say I do enjoy your pieces. Particularly your necklaces. They serve me well in my profession." Emma spoke. She knew what her words made her sound like- a very high-priced escort. The reality, of course was much more noble- she was a spy and an assassin, but Emma left that part out- she just really wanted to see the look on Sybille's face when Ms. Pride found out that her jewelry was used by what she thought was a prostitute.

Of course, at this point, the woman was walking away from them. Goddammit, she had about enough of this. And with that, Emma moved to stand in Sybille's way, blocking her path before setting her eyes on them all. "Okay, kiddos- I've got something to say and if Harvey gets to say everything he wants, so do I." she began, her voice taking on a very authoritative tone, a bit unexpected coming from someone who looked like Emma "This is getting completely out of hand. I mean, it's already out of hand, but it's getting worse. I don't know why everyone has decided that automatically hate and don't trust anyone else, but clearly that isn't going to work here. You heard what Yuera said, if any one of us dies, we ALL reset, and the relics keep getting harder and harder to find. I'm assuming you're all intelligent to realize what that means without me having to tell you, but I'm going to remind you anyways because I'm really tired of listening to the bickering." Emma spoke, an exasperated sound to her voice.

"It means we really ought to work together. Obviously, none of us are all that interested in being a team, but this cannot be done any other way. None of us had a choice in this, none of us wanted this, but that's beside the point. Trying to run off and be a hero on our own isn't going to get us anywhere. What happens when a T. Rex finds one of us alone and eats us? We all reset, and it just gets harder. It's just going to keep building like that until we decide to suck it up, and be a team." She continued, looking to everyone's faces "Now that that's out of the way, I think Ms. Lucier has a good idea with the mountains, and I think we should all suck it up and follow her for now."

The ground started to shake as the raptor laying before her seemed to quiet, its gaze looking up at the blonde with grateful eyes. The shaking though, it caused the reptilian pack to begin growling, looping around the woman and their fallen comrad; they were noticably on guard. The creature that cause them to panic so, while near them, wasn't headed in their direction. Kali's head whipped around as she heard the voices of people nearby and then suddenly, the world was flying by her in a whirl of colors.

Blinking a few times, the blue eyed woman looked up to the sky. The air around her was hot and humid, bugs chirped and called to each other in the distance. Looking next to her, she saw her staff, before looking back towards the canopies, letting out a content sigh.

She wasn't with the raptors anymore, but Kali didn't seem to realize that she had actually been with them in the first place. There was nothing on her face that gave way to any sense of confusion about what had just happened. Why? Because even though Kali could recall those memories, they didn't feel like hers, they felt like a distant memory or dream.

The woman reached towards a golden chain that hung from her neck, a smooth stone hanging from it. Her hands went to that stone; it looked very much like a pearl, but it was transluscent in appearance which caught the suns rays causing a dance of color to appear within its core. It was a stone that was coveted by mortals, it was rare and sold for quite a lot of money for those that could get one. For Kali though, it held no real value, it was just something she had.

The stone was one from the Sands of Time, though the woman would not recall such a thing. It was simply a rock that had been polished through the rushing of sands that the change of time that took place in that realm. Since the Sands of Time could only be reached through magic, it was extremely rare that a human would get one. Those from the Sands though, found it interesting to give them to humans as their behaviors seemed to go from interested to beyond excited. It was a common stone to one and a treasure to another.

Everything was fine and dandy. Eric wasn't really too concerned with anything for he was in-love with his golden garments and the jewels that seemed to surround every inch of him. Knowing Ms. Lucier all too well (he had to have all her latest goods). Eyeballing some of her jewelry that donned his neck and wrists, he finally smirked when things settled again.

"Oy-oy," he waved the crew off before dragging a hand through his luscious locks. "I think Lady Hamilton is right. No need to get at each other's throats. Not yet. You've nothing to your names to even back your claims nor give you any worth. Until you can prove you've got some all-mighty title or position, just think of us all as peons looking to get up there in the ranks." He scoffed. "I kid. Though I do intend to make sure I'm worth more than all of you."

Winking casually at Ms. Lucier, he smiled a rather cheeky smile before rolling his eyes around the area.

Some of the others were muttering to themselves and Eric took that as his cue to introduce himself.

"Ah yes, where are my manners." Sweeping into an elegant bow, he strut up to each of the ladies and graced their hands with his soft lips. Pulling away from the last, he flicked his hair again before smiling a devil's smile. "I'm Eadric Cassius. Eric works just fine. And yes, I'm one of those horrible, terrible, money-hungry, snobby, movie-critic-hating, Americans. I love cheeseburgers almost as much as I love gold."

Again, his hand swept through his hair. As he did such, something in the distance caught his eye. In mere seconds, he honed in on that glint and marched, no sprinted, from the group. Because it was so spontaneous, no one even had a chance to interject or stop him. One minute he was there looking like a sexy beach boy and the next he was one with the wind.

Taking Eric's leave as a cue to cock a brow and shake his head, Harv sighed. "So much for sticking together. Anyway, I think," it finally clicked. Her face, it finally clicked!

"Holy shit," he turned to Ms Lucier, "I used to buy your stuff for my personal secretary. Whenever I did something she deemed 'bad,' I would pamper her with your newest brand. Heh, I guess I owe you a thank you for saving my ass on multiple occasions."

Back on task, he smirked before shaking his head at his luck. Boy did he feel like an ass in front of her. To call her Coach was an insult to her jewels and reputation. He would have to make it up to her later.

"So, heading for the hills? Good idea, if someone has a pair of binoculars stowed away in their pack." His brows furrowed. Wait, since when did he have a pack. Dropping to the ground, he started to peel out the items that were shoved into the bag. "Bingo!" he flashed the seeing-tools before all. "Let's head for the hills before Rexy comes back to eat me."

Completely forgetting about Eric, he stepped away from the group and toward the mountains. "Well?"

Meanwhile, Greed was still making his bee-line for whatever glistened in the distance. In no time, he was upon the shiny, shiny, shiny!

Eyes wide with delight, he completely ignored the womanly form (Kali) that housed the item he was now fingering. If anything, Eric probably looked like a curious cat the way his eyes tilted inward toward the item. They were alive with wonder and his smile continued to grow.

Nothing, nothing could ruin this moment! Well, at least that's what he thought.

Miles began to reply to the rather nasty remarks when a FUCKING T-REX CHOMPED THE SHIT OUT OF BLONDIE!! Miles started running and falling backwards shouting, "I told you so!" when suddenly, everything turned white and they were falling again.

Landing with a loud thud, he grunted and winced. "Really? Really?!" he shouted to the sky. "Make me come----" he was interrupted by the heavenly voice. He listened intently, with no reason why, grimacing more and more as the voice continued. When she finished, he threw his hands into the air. "Now you tell us! Thanks! Really, thanks!" He got up rather swiftly this time, and heard Pride speaking. His eyes lit up. "You're her?! I buy my wonderful mother your jewelry all of the time! She loves it so much!" He caught his breath and muttered to himself, "With her own money..." He smiled a grandiose smile and hoped nobody would catch on. He caught her hands in his, and kissed them. He dashed away.

After getting closer to the tree, he realised he should have at least told the group his plan to head to the forest. He turned around rather quickly, because he didn't feel like having anyone get eaten again and have EVERYTHING reset again. He kicked the dirt a bit. "Soooo, anybody want to go into the forest with me? Anyone?" he smiled.
