Welcome to Wintery Wonder Land- Event Hangout Edition. I hope everyone
is enjoying the event so far. I know I am quite pleased how the Menewsha
Staff put this event together. It is good to learn a little more about the
island of Menewsha that we all know and love. Plus, the event commons are
great. The new system I like as well, where we can collect buds to help buy
these gorgeous items. Happy Hunting!

Unlike my other threads named Wintery Wonder Land, this one isn't going
to get a nice little story like opening simply because it does not go along
with the event, seeing as it is always on a snow covered mountain.
Personally, I do not think people pay much attention to it anyways, but whatever. lol

In this thread I will be holding a few contests. However you are welcome to
chat as much as you would like in here, since this IS a hangout thread. You
can chat about anything and everything as long as it follow site rules.

One thing I enjoy about Menewsha are the beautiful avatars and items.
Everywhere I go I see these avatars and admire them. As such, I have
decided to hold an avatar contest for this event. For the contest, avatars
must be colorful and/or festive, and NOT be entered in the contest Staff
Members Cami and Spring `Time Fresh are holding. This contest is split up
into two parts: One with items already owned and one with MAC.
There are prizes for both. So, will you participate?

As the event came days away from being held, I created a festive avatar
for the event, based on a challenge posed by my friend, Winter Wind, to
create an outfit using the Carnival Hairpin. Since then, I have recieved a
lot of positive feedback on my avatar. Now, I would like some art for it.
Hence, I have decided to hold a mini-art contest that will have first,
second, and best all around awards. All details and poses for the art is up
to the artists discretion. I like to give artists as much freedom as possible
in art because I have noticed with my own sister that the more you restrict
an artists influence, the less enthused they are to complete the piece.
So, Are you willing to participate?

I think they will, but it might be a smarter idea to get firefox just for a few days at least - it has no spyware or anything and is easy to remove so you can just uninstall it in a couple of days, after the event. P:

I honestly don't care for the first-day-event-item so am more concerned about the event commons. >_> <_<

Huh. That's weird. IE is extremely slow to me. Even on other people's computers it seems very slow, slower than firefox at least. o.O;; It's true that generally sites are more compatible with IE but I'd never heard of anyone saying it's faster. o_o
