Is anyone else a little bothered by the lack of actual halloween costumes?

@Nemui; Once outside there was a spider that was making a web, and whenever I went outside I'd see it and just freak. I took a picture of it, but I couldn't look at the picture of it even.

you know i havent even looked at the event items yet.
becuase i kno once again there is going to be a crap wad of items
and not enough time to get them all, unless you spend every waking hour on this site which i cant and wont do lol.

Tarantula's are the most common spider that people keep as pets. I wouldn't expect him to have one that ate finches, haha~

And Aryah- I don't celebrate Halloween, personally. So it doesn't bother me, so much as it surprises me. Most people I know adore the holiday!
In real life, my boyfriend even asked me what he should be this year~ He still dresses up, even though he's kinda old for it.
Although, one can never be too old for having fun, right? I told him to be a witch. ^^

@Nemui: I think so... of actual halloween items, at least... aside from making costumes from pre-existing items...

like, mummy's or frankenstein... skeletons...

Dark- I do like the basis of the holiday, because I like fantasy so much. :yes:
It's just that I'm 1) not a big partier, so I don't go to college costume parties, 2) too old for trick-or-treating not to be awkward, and 3)prone to be a lazyass and just go to CVS and get king sized Reeses and bags of Dove Chocolate and stuff my face while I watch a movie. :lol:

My boyfriend doesn't know what he wants to be yet. He's gonna go off to parties though, so I guess he needs a costume of some sort.

Does anyone have any ideas I could suggest to him? xD

all he really need is an interesting idea... and, basically speaking, any dark color outfit with a colored face would work.

Or, he could just go as a "dead somebody", like a football player, or some such thing.

& we're very much alike, I don't like to party - though if a friend asks nicely I'll probably go, if not I'll find a way out. I'm a bit too old for trick-or-treating, is 20 too old? & I mainly get big bags of candy from CVS or Target and just eat them, not passing them out.

That's cool. Tell him to wear a toga, get a white bedsheet. Though wear underwear, if that thing comes off.. well - yeah.

I love halloween, because you can wear whatever you want without fear of wierd looks and what-not. Also, candy is very good. Especially reese's.

I don't go trick-or-treating anymore, but still like to dress up some, even if it's not an actual costume, and I eat candy too. :D

@Rhoswin: oooh, you could make him go as a zombie or mummy.. they are used a lot, but no one does it well anymore..
and i guess christmass is good too.. haha >_<
