Welcome to Christmas, Yan!

I started by using stuffing to make his shape and then covered him in white material. He was hard to stick and sew together so he wasn't a mess, but I think I got there!

Then I used gold wire to make arms for him!

Okay, next, I used more wire to make legs but this was hard, so his feet are tucked into his sides. They are still there!

I used a ribbon so that I could hang him on the tree and stuck it to the top of his head!

And.. his eyes are made from gems! I think he's done!

Oh! And he is 10cm long.

Thanks, I know! I love his eyes. I don't know how my camera seemed to capture them glisten!

I'm not sure either XD my wife is the photographer not me... but whatever you did... it worked really well

Maybe it's the location of the light and the camera and the reflection? (Kinda like how a reflection in a window works?)

Wifey edits saying:

yeah, it's about the angle of you, baby Yan, and the camera in relation to the light source. Using digital cameras has that effect ahah. I don't know if your camera has an "auto" setting or not. There are more and more that do nowadays, that take all of the factors into account of how much light is being picked up, the hues present, if it can detect a face, if you are aiming up close, etc. That could definitely contribute, as could the fact that natural beauty exists all around us. :3 *nod* I would assume that you saw the light reflected in the display as you took the picture. Maintaining that is usually where the failure to pick it up comes from. xD For my camera the way the lens is, if I want to pick up deeper hues and light, I tilt it to be facing forward or very slightly down, in the direction of what I want to take a picture of. Especially when I am outside and there is plenty of natural light around me, for example, taking a picture of a sunset, does this come in handy. It doesn't look like you used flash because of the medium light level and lack of attention to details except for the eyes. I've no doubt that specific material you used is prone to attracting light anywho :3 Hope this helps explain xD

Haha, why thank you Poet, Poet's wife! Yes you are right. I didn't use flash. I think that it it just surprising because whenever I want my camera to focus on something and give really high quality in one place, it never works and the picture looks blurry and flat! So if you were taking a picture of the sunset, you would tilt the camera down to pick up the right light? Thanks for replying! It's very interesting. :3

I almost fell over when I came back and saw how much she wrote

Lol Wifey Edit#2:
Yes, that's correct, and for picking up details, try macro for close up pictures (the symbol is a small flower), and play around with how long you hold down the button when you take the picture :3 If it has auto focus it will switch between what it focuses on, based on how much activity is going on in the area. You will especially notice this if you ever try to take pictures in a windy place xD haha ohh fun -_- xD There is also an editing tool on programs. Like I know on the program I use, Photoscape (which is free btw), there is a feature called "Fake Tilt-Shift" which focuses on one part of the picture and blurs out the rest.
Here is a little tutorial on the feature if you're interested ^.^

Oh yes, I put it on macro a lot, because I really like clear details. Though it's hard to notice the difference on the LCD camera screen. Thanks for the link! That's really cool. I don't have Photoshop to try it out on though.
