Jack smiled at her response and quickly began to walk back to the hotel. He knew that the other creature was still there watching them and Jack was hoping that he mightbe able to outpace him. It seemed maybe like a long shot, but trying was better than not.

It did not take them long to reach to hotel at the pace Jack was leading them at and he quickly whisked her past the front desk and to the stairs. Jack's new friend's appearence would be very appaling to anyone who saw it and taking the elevator was far to risky. And he was sure that his companion would be quite baffled by the contraption.

When they reached Jack's room he paused before opening the door, taking a moment to inhale the scent of the room on the other side of the door. Not fresh scents of Dee. So he could tell his guest about her later. Perfect. Jack had been thinking too much about getting to the room quickly to think about how to introduce Daedri. So he opened the door and led her inside. The room was quite large and elegant. It was colored in shades of red and gold and the single king-sized bed sat well-made with fresh sheets in the center of the room. There were dressers on either side of the bed and a beautiful vanity sat on the wall across from the bed. As Jack passed the mirror with his guest, only a vauge image of himself showed in the glass. It was almost like looking at a ghost in the mirror. Jack could see through his image. Daedri's image varied depending on her mood.

Jack opened the door to the bathroom. The whole thing glittered and shined. Jack had managed to get one of the better rooms out of the counter clerk and the bathroom he had managed to get was fantastic. I was huge with a large jecuzzi tub and a seperate shower. He led her over to the counter, "Wait right here," he smiled and he went back to grab a pair of his smallest jeans and a white button-up shirt. He didn't want to take any of Dee's undergarments, and he liked the idea of his guest not haivng any on.. When he returned he placed the clothes on the sink counter. He went over ot the bath and began to run the water. He waited for it to get warm before he plugged the drain and added the bubbles, "I hope you don't mind bubbles." he said as he sat on the edge of the tub and watched it fill. It had slipped his mind for a moment that she probably had never seen anything like this before.

Abby Rose
Rose let herself be sneaked in without any word, smirking to herself. It brought to mind days long past but that she had rather enjoyed. There was a reason she was such a good thief, in actuality she enjoyed it. She enjoyed the excitement of it and the pleasure of getting one over on her 'betters'. She enjoyed defying the laws that, during her time at least, left her in chains simply because of the gender she was born with. It was freedom, pure and simple. Still, the excitement was being rapidly replaced with awe and uncertainty. First she caught sight of elevators..... and then came the bathroom.

"Bubbles?" Was her only response as the confused woman approached the bath. She could smell the scent of the bubbles, lavender, and was vaguely reminded of some expensive oils some high class women used. As it met the water, however, it became almost like the foam produced by the sea sometimes. She tilted her head to the side and soon was sitting on the edge of the tub where she could scoop up a handful. She poked them a moment and couldn't help but let out a rather girlish giggle that made her look a little embarrassed. She turned to look at the male and playfully blew a few towards him before she leaned forward to whisper in his ear.

"Oh I do think I like them... Now go wait outside like a good boy and maybe I'll show you a bit of gratitude later hmm? She whispered, her tone suggesting the 'gratitude' would take a very carnal tone indeed. The pheromones of her beast were naturally more powerful then most and so made the suggestion seem like an out right promise even as they were subtly released. With this and her tease she managed to shoo him out of the room so she could explore without having to worry about anything. Yes, it was her desire to explore these strange new inventions more then actual modesty that made her push the vampire out.

She first found out the wonder of warm water, her eyes widening. She tested the knobs, soon finding that the H meant hot and the C meant cold. Oh how convenient! No boiling, no buckets, just warm water like magic from the wall! She couldn't wait to strip and let herself sink into the bubble bath, gathering the various soaps and shampoos. For a moment she couldn't read them but she felt herself slip away and momentarily Abby returned, having awakened to the idea of the soap.

Her blood... clyde's blood... all mixed in a horrible mass. Abby covered her mouth to keep from screaming and began to take the soaps and scrub every part of her body and her hair. She scrubbed until her scalp hurt and part of her chest underneath one breast was as red as if someone had struck her there. She would have scrubbed it hard enough to bleed but Rose quickly forced the panicked child back into her box, gasping a moment. Still, she did find that part of Abby's knowledge had become her own and she could now read the various labels. The hotel was clearly upscale but still the sheer amount of rooms showed it was no palace...

Such delicate, smooth soaps were not only in existence but available to even the middle class? It filled her with wonder, and a strange feeling of uncertainty. So many things had improved, how much had changed? bah, she'd think about it later she thought absently as she sank into the warm water. She spent some time just soaking even once she was clean, building shapes from the strange foam... No bubbles, and in general enjoying the pampering even though she was absently expecting he had done so only with the expectation of specific payment in return.

With a shrug at her thoughts she would finally rise almost an hour later, pulling out the plug. For a moment she watched the water run, thinking absently it looked like a whirlpool but small and weak. She wondered where the water went... She shook her head, feeling a little naive which made her pout. She dressed slowly, deliberately leaving a slightly indecent number of buttons undone on both the top and the bottom so her breasts and stomach would be slightly exposed. As she finished she found a brush and soon had her hair pulled into a bun with a few strands falling suggestively down to pull the eye towards her bust. She then then stepped out of the room, a sultry smile on her lips as she closed the door behind her and leaned on it. She gave him the type of steamy look that could have melted ice and batted her eyelashes playfully at him as she teased him.

"Better m'lord? or did I miss a spot?"

Kaonashi watched the female vampire for a moment. He then slowly hopped off of the fence, following her over the lawn to the house. The grass wet and slightly squishy under his paws. What intrest did he have? What was his claim? This girl certainly was old fashioned, and got to the point. He focused on the door, the boys parents would be home. He also felt a slight energy in the air, seems the events at the park had ended for the night. How sad, he was expecting more of a show, oh well, all in due time as the saying went. He was in no hurry, he had all the time in the world, and he was loving every second of it. His tail swayed behind him, in a bit more confident way. He was not afraid, nor was he concerned to much with what was going on at all.

Dante shook his head at the question. "Nope, I'm all alone" he says, before exiting the park. He didn't mind being on his own, growing up in a temple full of monks who were always busy, and being the only child, he was used to being on his own. He learned a lot from his time alone, the spirits were all he needed. How odd, his friends were dead people in other words. People would deffinetly be creeped out about that, most would lock him up on the excuse that he was crazy. He guessed no one went around with the casual conversation of 'I see dead people" coming up. A slight smile formed on his lips, he was amused slightly by the thought. He did miss people though, being alone all the time also had its' disadvantages.

"Then you probably don't have a place to stay..... She muttered more to herself then him. She had spent a brief time homeless, the revenge business not paying much. For a moment her heart almost woke up and felt a little empathy but she shook her head. He'd already gone out of hearing range she was sure, she didn't exactly move like lightening right now. Oh well, what could she do about it anyway?

She focused only on getting back to the shop, even as she occasionally cringed with pain. She probably looked like she was drunk to most the way she stumbled....She laughed at the thought, she hated drunkards and had no use for alcohol. She didn't like how it clouded people's minds among other things. She pushed away the thought, thinking now over various spells. Maybe she could call the wolf somehow. Now that she'd seen it and her spell had touched it she could do far more. Of course in her state, just doing the spell for her bath would be difficult enough.

Virsat wasn't sure how long he had been waiting, he hadn't been counting the minutes or watching a clock. He was a vampire, and though young, he had still lived for a little over one hundred years. Such a thing had made him no stranger to patience, when one could not age, there was simply no need to rush through anything. Though he really had hoped to conduct his business tonight. He had stood there, against the wall, with his eyes closed. Just relaxing, just being.

Crimson eyes opened slowly. There was blood in the air, the scent growing stronger. Slowly but surely it was coming closer. Virsat's head turned in the direction the scent came from, that head tilted slightly and he inhaled deeply. Virsat's legs were moving before he had even made the conscious decision to go towards the scent, towards the slow moving, injured person that smelled slightly familiar. Those legs carried him quickly, and even quicker he realized it was the shop keeper he had been waiting for.

Virsat came to a complete stop directly in front of her. Crimson eyes looking her over with uncertainty and hesitation for a few moments. There was blood on the shop keeper's hand, and she looked to be in pain. Virsat was very uncertain, but he slowly held his hand out to her. "....Will you accept my help?" He was a vampire, his help might not be unwelcome even if his money was welcome in her shop. In his experience with the few humans that did know of vampire existence, help from a vampire was often the last thing they would want.

"Yes..." Val said after a moment and took his hand only to fall into his hand with a grunt of discomfort. She hadn't realized the cancer had managed to grow a little... she'd missed a day of bathing because she had been working on something. She couldn't do that again or the werewolf really would get away forever. She coughed again, a little bit of blood staining her hand once more. She frowned at it, sternly like a parent would at a naughty child or a person would at someone being ridiculously inconvenient. She then glanced up at the vampire and sighed.

"I'll need help preparing a special bath to stop this..... consider it partial payment on your sunlight charm." She said quietly, trying to keep her usual tough exterior up. She was nothing if not stubborn apparently. In truth she wasn't sure she could drop it anymore. She was almost afraid too. She felt so empty when not doing something in pursuit of revenge, like there was some gaping hole in her that would never again be filled. Being tough gave her purpose... gave her strength.

Virsat's fingers closed around her hand when she placed it in his. As she fell forward some he reached out with his other hand to steady her a bit. When she began to cough, coughing up specks of blood, Virsat didn't hesitate. He quickly swept her up off her feet and into his arms. Classic princess style. "...A bath?" The vampire almost blushed. Still, if it helped pay for the charm he wanted, and even if it didn't Virsat would help. Vampirism had not changed his kind heart into that of a cold blooded killer like most vampires. Virsat shook his head slightly and carried her quickly to the shop, not setting her down on her feet until they were right at the front door.

"It allows me to combine various healing liquids as well as healing and ice magic most easily" She explained, raising an eyebrow as she noticed his blush. He didn't feel THAT young. She let out a gasp as she was lifted, scowling briefly but saying nothing. She hated being helpless, least of all to a vampire or a werewolf. Still, she knew she would have to bare with it so she simply let herself be carried. She unlocked the shop once they arrived and she was sat down. She would then begin to lead him towards the back room and the entrance to her living quarters.

Jack waited patiently for her on the bed, fiddling with the ring around his finger. His thoughts lingered on the feelings she had evoked in him. It was the same sort of effect he had on others. And Jack quite liked this. This was his first time being able to actually play the game since the Elder had taught him how to refine his skills and he was having so much fun.

He could still smell her amidst all the shampoos in the bathroom and he could hear her moving around. At one point something happened and Jack almost wanted to go int there and make sure everything was okay. But it was gone as quickly as it had come and Jack decided to leave it be.

When the woman emerged from the steaming bathroom, Jack felt uplifted even higher than he had been before. She was beautiful under all that blood and gore. He stood as she approched him and smiled, "Much, much better." he walked around her, checking for that "missed spot" she mentioned, as well as looking at her again after being cleaned up so well, "You look beautiful." He said, leaning down to her ear from behind. His honey-coated voice carried more of his gift now. And without him trying. Jack's gift was majorily effected by his excitement level. And he was very excited right now.

Deadri smiled to herself as the cat followed her across the lawn. So you are something more than you seem. she thought to herself. Deadri wondered what the cat coudl really be. She knew that some vampires, like the Elder, could change their shape. But he had never changed into a cat and this cat did not smell like a vampire.

Deadri's brown eyes flitted back and forth between the cat and the window that was now above her head and how she was going to get to it to see the human inside. She wondered if it would be hugely stupid of her to lay claim to something so early since her coming to the city. It would be fairly easy if the cat's scent wasn't already on the boy. Then she could place her own there. And maybe.. Daedri stopped to look through her passenger bag. While she had only packed the few items, she always had some trinket or another in the bag.

"Ahh. Perfect." Deadri took out a little gold bell on a red string. Inside the bell, however, was not a metal ball to make the bell sound, but instead a head of clove. Clove had been Deadri's calling card in all her years of being a vampire. For whatever reason she really loved the smell. So much so that the scent clung to her.

With that done, Deadri looked around, for something to bring her up to a window, A tree, a ladder, loose wood panels. She only needed the smallest boost to get to the window sill without causing a ruckus.

((I think I'm mostly caught up, although I do request that the next time someone has a family member die that everyone else doesn't leave them in the dust. 40 posts even after I said I had a death in the family and was busy/emotional and having a hard time keeping up feels like a big eff you. I'm glad everyone is enjoying the role-play, but in the future I'd like to ask that we each not post more than a couple of times before everyone can get a post in please, unless the person in question has said to go ahead. Thanks ya'll.))

Did Charlotte like the stars? Yes, she loved the stars actually. When she was a small child she actually wanted to be an astronaut. The other little girls were always busy playing dress up and house and having pretend weddings with their dolls. Charlotte was pretending to fly to the moon.

The rain had slowed to a stop and Charlotte peeked out from under the parasol. Too bad the storm didn't seem to be blowing over though. She sighed and simply nodded. "Mmhmm." She didn't know anyone who didn't like the stars honestly. Her and Hud had spent so many nights in the grass watching stars together. They would lay out a blanket at the top of the hill in their nearby park after everyone else had long gone home. They'd snuggle close for warmth and hold each other for hours under the shimmering night sky.

Charlotte closed her eyes. She missed being held. She missed feeling safe. Mostly she missed Hudson, everything about him. How she'd give anything to open up a refrigerator to an empty carton of milk, or have to pick up dirty laundry mere inches from the hamper. All things she'd been so annoyed by, but that seemed so small in the big picture.

In Charlotte's mind she was remembering a fight they'd had that had blown way out of proportion. She'd found a necklace in a pocket of his jeans one morning when she'd gone to do the laundry. It was an interesting symbol of sorts, small and dainty, clearly a woman's, clearly not new. Hudson worked most nights and lately he'd been leaving earlier and coming home later.

Hudson loved her with everything he had, and she knew that. She'd never actually apologized for accusing him of the things she had that day. It's funny how emotions can control a person, and change them into someone else entirely, even only for moments. She'd heard that vampires had the ability to turn that part of them off so that they wouldn't have to feel. She wished she could do that now.

The more she thought about Hudson and all things left unsaid, questions she could never ask, kisses she'd no longer receive, the more regret and bitterness she felt until she was doing it again; not breathing. Her chest was tight, her heart was in pain, and she'd been holding her breath.

"I'm sorry Dahlia," she choked while trying not to cry. "Thank you for your kindness. I have to go." Without waiting for a response Charlotte turned and ran. It was all she could do to keep the woman from seeing her break down again. The warm tears streamed down her cheeks and she ran. That's all she'd wanted to do in the first place was run. She ran in the direction she assumed her hotel was in, although not knowing exactly where she was. It didn't matter. Unless she ran until she exhausted herself she wouldn't sleep anyway.

Charlie ran, she didn't jog, she sprinted as if trying to shake something, lose someone, leave something behind. That's exactly what she was trying to do. She glanced over her shoulder hoping the woman hadn't tried to follow her. She'd been strange, but very kind. Kindness was something Charlotte hadn't seen much of in her new profession. She ran and cried and she couldn't cry anymore. Now she was just running, all she seemed to do lately, even when she was standing still.

((I understand you're going through a hard time right now, everyone does... and for that reason I'm not going to say anything else except I understand you're just venting but do please realize we do care about you. ))

"I'm flattered I please you." She teased back softly, her head tilting ever so slightly to watch him. She muttered a soft thank you as he said she was beautiful, a soft shiver traveling down her spine. Oh he was good... She pushed back her beast as it rebelled, feeling the honey trap as sure as it would chains. She was having too much fun to let it make her shift now, she could resist it on her own enough to keep her mind clear. She didn't mind a little lust... he was good looking enough. She turned her head towards him playfully, her hands slipping in the pockets of her jeans.

"Now I just have to figure out how to thank you, for the lovely bath and a place to sleep if you don't mind my company." she teases suggestively. There was mischief and an air of teasing to her voice, hell even to her stance. She had shifted slightly so his view of her cleavage had improved even more then it would have from where he stood with his lips so close to her ear. She didn't move aside from that, leaving herself teasingly open to him. She almost seemed to be inviting him to try something, perhaps she was. Maybe she wanted to see just what he would do...

"Silly Lottie... we can't run from ourselves..." She muttered more to herself then Charlotte as she ran off. For a moment those usually childishly bright and cherry eyes seemed slightly sad and thoughtful. She glanced up towards the sky, debating a moment. She finally continued to follow the girl, leaving just enough distance that Charlotte would likely not realize she was there. She would follow her all the way back to the hotel if she had to, there were predators out tonight. For reasons of her own the childlike vampire had decided she liked Charlotte and had no intentions of letting her get snacked on, so she would follow and come out should the other get hurt or attacked. She hid in an alley as the other woman glanced over her shoulder but resumed following the second she looked forward again. At this rate Lottie looked like she might fall.

Chuck followed Charlotte, without giving another thought to vampire, more concerned with her safety than his kill. He had no clue what might be out at the time, and didn't intend on letting his deceased friend down by letting his wife die. When he notice the vampire following her it took all of his energy to not jump down and confront her. All he knew was that he would not let a vamp get to the currently fragile girl. He stopped paying as much attention to Charlotte when he knew the vampire would keep pursuit, and only made sure he wasn't losing her through minor glances. He kept his eye on the vampire, making sure she wouldn't try anything on his friend's widow.
