In New York City, there are lights, shows, and danger around every corner. In new York City the hundred year old war rages in the street of New York, oblivious to humans. Vampires fight each other. Some think killing humans for blood is not needed to survive, instead they use bags of blood from the bloods banks across town. They run a council of vampires opposed to harming humans. However, there are those who prefer their blood straight from the source, the dark-bloods. They have little care for any other then themselves. they fight all the time though it may look like a normal street fight to you, it is much more than that. They are fighting for dominance, control, and either for the safety or for the control of humans. Will there be anything of New York when this is over?

Bio: Shakura used to be wild and carefree. But then she realized the damage she was doing to the humans. She now drinks blood that comes from local blood banks. She is the head of the council, which means she has to deal with all the meetings, the ceremonies of new council members and public affairs such as balls and other things. Her life is stressful which is why it is never a good idea to make her made or get on her bad side. Although when she does want to let off some steam, she does certain...activities.

Bio: Minx tends to be very shy and sticks to being by herself most of the time. When she was turned, she was horrified by the thought of attacking someone and drinking their blood, so she tried not drinking blood at all. She soon found out it was impossible to do so. She ended up attacking humans when she was driven to the point where she had to feast. She ended up drinking every last drop of their blood, and afterwords, she'd feel horrible and run away. She'd hide somewhere and again try to not drink any blood. Once, she tried staying in a cave, deep in the forest and try to make it so she couldn't drink any blood. The attempt failed, of course. Whens he found out about the Vampire Council, she thought that it'd be a good idea to join. She could get blood without harming people, and fight against those who hurt humans and drink their blood.

Bio: In his old life, he was a common messenger for a royal family. One night during a delivery, he was attacked by a group of thugs and they bit him. Now he stalks the streets of New York City preying on innocent young girls. He likes to watch them run away knowing full well they can't get away but others he likes to play with before he bites them. He is well known by all dark-bloods and all council vampires. He never lets a human live and has no feelings towards anyone.

Shakura sat on her bed in her room. She was getting ready for the annual council meeting. She hated the how stressful it was as of lately what with the dark-bloods getting rowdy and trying to make sure humans don't find out about them. She let out a stressful sigh. She stood up and put on her council robes and made her way down the hall. They were nestled in a three story building. Her room was on the top floor and so was the council room. The bottom floor was mostly where accountants took care of making sure blood was delivered and keeping tabs on dark-bloods in the area. She entered the council room and sat in her chair and awaited for the rest to arrive. It was her job to be there before everyone else. She knew by the end of this meeting she would be exhausted.
Rakuro stood on the sidewalk leaning against the window of a shop waiting for a decent meal to walk by. Finally he saw one. A girl with black hair and green eyes. He walked into the alley and when she walked by he snatched her before anyone could see. He pinned her up against the wall. She looked at Rakuro with fear in her eyes. She probably thought it was a mugging but unlike a mugging her chances of surviving this was even lower. He sniffed her neck. She smelt like perfume and roses. Probably one of those rich girls who wear new perfume every other hour. He let his fangs elongate and when she went to scream he covered her mouth and bit her and began drinking.

Minx was exploring the city. She was able to roam the place without having to worry about getting urges to drink the humans blood. if she became hungry, she'd just have to go and get some blood from the blood bank. Plus, with her roaming, she would be able to take care of any dark-bloods. Although, she wasn't sure if she could take a dark-blood on. Minx wasn't the most powerful vampire in the world. In fact, she was pretty bad at fighting. She needed to learn how to fight and gain more battle experience.
When she was walking down the side walk, she passed an alleyway. For some reason, she turned her head to see what was down the alley. Minx could see a man holding down a lady to the wall. She frowned at the site, not liking this one bit. She didn't know if this man was robbing her or doing something worse to her. She silently walked down the alley and pulled out a knife she kept strapped onto her thigh. When she got up closer, she could see the man sucking the lady's blood. Her eyes widened in shock. She gulped and then hurried behind the man. She pressed the knife up against his back, "get your fangs away from her neck before I stab you!". Minx ran the blade up the mans back, trying to aim for around where his heart would be. She was real nervous. Minx was so small, and he was such a large man...he could probably take her! She would have to be really careful. She gulped, and then yelled at him. "I said stop sucking her blood!", she pressed the blade harder into his back. it went through his coat, and touched his skin.
Rakuro only smirked when she felt the knife to her back. She could tell from her voice she was nervous. She played along and let the woman's body slid to the ground then in a flash of movement she was turned around and had ahold of her wrist that held the knife. "A vampire councilman, how pathetic," he said grabbing the knife and throwing it hard against the opposite wall so hard that the blade shattered. "now what will you do little girl," he said. He was ready for a fight though with her it wouldn't take long.
He was to fast. Minx knew she should have called someone up to help her out with this, but that woman would have been dead, if she wasn't already. Minx froze when he had a hold of her wrist and threw her blade against the wall. She cursed mentally and looked at the man. She wrenched her wrist out of his hand and then started to run. AT the very least, Minx would lead the man away from the poor woman long enough for her to escape. And of course, Minx decided to wear a dress the very day she had to run. Just nice. She ran a fast as she could, checking to see if he was following her. if he wasn't, she'd have to fight him with her shoe or something and get him away from the human.
"a bit of fun after a meal," he said to himself. He ran after her. This would be fun. thats right run little girl, make this intresting he thought to himself.
Minx searched a few places where she used to keep other weapons. She was trying to find something she could use to fight this man. If not, she'd have to think of something. Minxy bit her lip, yelling at herself mentally about how stupid she was being. She couldn't get any humans caught up in this, and she had to get amazing power from somewhere, which wouldn't happen. Her fists tightened and she used her somewhat-super speed to run faster. She had been a vampire for a little while, but had no idea how to use any of her powers. If she lived through this, she'd have to ask for someone to help her learn how to use her powers and fight better.
He ran faster and when he was close enough he tackled her. "What are you gonna do now little vampire," he said with smirk.
All of a sudden Rakuro was kicked off of Minx. Minx was pulled up by a vampire councilman. You noticed Shakura and two other council vampires are here now. "Are you ok Minx?" Shakura asked her.
Minx yelped when she was tackled to the ground. She tried to get him off, but it was useless. She was dead. Well, that's what she thought before the man was kicked off of her and a few councilmen were here. She blinked and then got up. She took a step back and then bowed a slightly. "Ah uh....I'm fine. Thank you for helping me out...", Minx said before she focused her attention on the dark-blood. "He's a dark blood...", Minx said, pointing at the man. She was feeling a bit embarrassed about not being able to fight him at all. But that wasn't important right now, they needed to take care of the dark blood.
"I know he is a dark-blood Minx. Thats why we are here. When you didn't show up when the meeting started, we knew you probably had gotten into trouble again," Shakura said not taking her eyes off Rakuro. "Leave Rakuro," she said to him. It was obvious she was mad right now. Truth was she knew Rakuro cause she was the one who had changed him but he didn't like the lifestyle she had chosen. They had a past that no one knew about.
Rakuro was about to attack who had pushed him off of Minx but he saw who it was. Shakura. He hadn't seen her since he had chosen not to follow her choice of feeding. "You always ruin my fun Shakura," he said then in a gust of wind he was gone.
"Lets get back to the meeting. They are waiting for us," Shakura said and began walking back towards the building with the other vampires and minx. She hadn't expected to see him tonight. She couldn't help but remember the conversation they had the night he left.
Minx's face turned red. She had completely forgotten about the meeting. That was embarrassing, too. She looked down at the ground and listened to the two. She started wondering why Shakura hadn't taken the man down...She had her reasons and Minx had no right task, so she let it go. Minx followed Shakura towards the council building. She was wondering what the meeting was for...she hadn't been in the council for long, so she wasn't sure what most of their meetings were about.
She quickened her pace and went next to Shakura. "Again, thanks for helping...", Minx said before she went silent throughout the walk.
"It's no problem but remember we have a meeting once a month on the full moon," she said to her. She couldn't help but think about her past with Rakuro. It seemed like just yesterday.
Shakura and Rakuro stood in her room. "Rakuro please. Just think about it. You wouldn't have to hurt anyone for blood. IT is better than being a monster." She said to him. "There is nothing to think about. you are asking me to be nothing more than a domesticated puppy. Vampires weren't meant to feed from blood bags. It's not natural," he said. "Vampires aren't natural Rakuro. Nothing about us is batural, but we have a chance to try to blend in with humans and to..." She was cut off. "Blend with those cattle? They are nothing but supplies of blood to us and you expect to survive on blood bags when the source is so close. I am sorry but i can not join your stupid council Shakura," Rakuro said walking over to the open window. "Rakuro wait i..." he jumped out of the window before she could finish. She let out a sigh. "I love you," she said to herself.
When they arrived at the council meeting, Shakura sat in her chair and the others took their seats and the meeting began and they talked of what to do with the dark-blood problem and keeping humans form finding out.
Rakuro had the flashback to. he hadn't meant to leave Shakura that night but what she had asked of him was to much to give up. He loved the thrill of adrenaline you got from feeding on humans and the pulse beneath their neck. He let out a sigh as he walked along the streets. He got to an abandoned building he used as shelter and laid on the old matress. "Shakura..." he said to himself.
(it's so...dramatic! it's like a soap opera! xDDDD)
Minx sat in her chair and sighed. She listened to the meeting, lost in her thoughts. She was also memorizing when she was supposed to come to the meetings. Every full moon...so basically once a month. Thank god it was only once a month. These things were so...boring. Hopefully they wouldn't ask her any questions. If they did, she'd have to wing it.
Minx snapped out of her trance. She was in her own little world the whole time. Hopefully she didn't miss much information. Minx nodded, "uh...sure. What is it?". Minx started to wonder what Shakura wanted to talk about. Maybe she knew that Minx wasn't paying attention? Nice. it was time for a lecture...
"I was wondering if you would like me to teach you to use your abilities. i know you are still pretty new and don't know how to use some of them. This way next time you run int the dark-bloods, you will be prepared," she said.
Minx smiled slightly when she heard what Shakura said. She was glad Shakura was willing to teach her. "Yes pleas. I would love that, Shakura.", she said. Honestly, Minx needed quite a bit of training. Hopefully Shakura could put up with her and teach her how to use her abilities.
"ok we can start tommorow night then. It is gettting light out and we should both get some rest." she said to her with a smile then made her way to her room. She closed the door then took off the robe and laid down. She was out in seconds from being exhausted the whole day.
Rakuro watched Shakura from the top of the building across from hers. Surprisingly the roof was level with her room. He let out a sigh. Why had she tried to make him chose. Why did she have to show up today. She always got to him. and from how she spoke today, she hadn't forgiven him or leaving her. He let out another sigh. Shakura why can't i get over you he thought to himself.
Minx nodded and waved good-bye. She silently said thank you to Shakura, and headed to the room she was given whens he joined the council. When she was on the top floor and looking for her room, she felt a presence. It felt like the man she had met earlier. She gulped, and continued to her room. She payed no attention to it since it was probably just a false alarm.
Shakura dreamed of being with Rakuro again. they were laying in a meadow of flowers and she was leaning against him in his lap and he was kissing her cheek. Then she woke up. She noticed it was time for minx's traning to begin. She got up and made her way to minx's room.
Minx had made it to her room. She had the curtains closed and was buried under a pile of blankets. She was fast asleep. She wasn't going to wake up anytime soon..
Shakura felt like she was being watched. She looked out the window and saw the white blur that must have been rakuro jumping form a roof. he was watching me she thought to herself. It made sense. When they were together he would let her go to sleep first and then he would go to sleep just so he could watch her sleep.
A few minutes later, Minx woke up. She got out of bed and tried to fix her terrible bed head. In the process, she got her brush stuck in her hair. She managed to get it out, but she yelped in pain when it ripped out. Only a few strands of hair were pulled out, but it still hurt. She finished with her hair, and put on one of her outfits she managed to put together. She took a blue rose clip and put it in her hair and one on her ankle. Then, she dug through her stuff to see if she could find any knives. She found three knives. One was a regular dagger, the other one was a long hinting knife, and for some reason she had a butcher knife. she put them in their cases and hid them in the side of her boot. She strapped the long hunting knife in her coat, though. She wanted to be able to get it quickly if she really needed it.
Yeah...I am.", Minx said with a sigh. She tried to smile as she waled over to Shakura and headed outside. She was still feeling that presence she felt last night, but she just ignored it.
