"If anything, I think this experience would be good for Pietro" Charles stated, "Ciara has no powers, it's a chance for him to see that not all non-mutants are the enemy. Not to mention it could improve our relationship with the brotherhood"

"What relationship?" Beast questioned, "they destroy things and we fix them."

"There's more to it than that" Charles argued, "and at any rate, if there was to be anyone who could stand their moral ground amongst them, I trust Ciara to do so." he smiled at her, "this is one mission that you are well trained for."

Scott was speechless.

Ciara smiled, "Thanks Charlie. He didn't talk to me for awhile after he found out I was normal but I guess that's because he wasn't sure how to react... Now we're right as rain."

"Still looked like a date." Scott mumbled, causing Ciara's face to turn bright red.

"It's just tutoring!"

"Uh huh. Your cheeks say otherwise. Which is why I told you to stay away from him." Scott poked one of her cheeks.

"Not that's something I would really have a problem with" Beast frowned.

"Kitty and Lance have a relationship" Charles pointed out.

"Katheryn is not my daughter, and on another note, you've seen how well that's turned out for them" Beast added.

"Oh my GODS! I'm just tutoring him! We are not going out on dates or in a relationship!" Ciara had stood up but Scott pushed her back into the chair.

"Ciara, we're just trying to look out for you-"

"What?! You think just because I'm chummy with a guy that I'm gonna spill all of your x-men secrets and weaknesses to him?! Gods, I'm just tutoring him. And if I wanted to date him, you would NOT get a say because you've already judged him." She pointed at Beast. Her face was burning up.

"Ciara, please, we're just trying to look out for you" Charles tried to assure her, "this isn't about the x-men, this is about your well being. we all just want what's best for you and while I encourage you to continue tutoring Pietro I wish you to be cautious as well. The brotherhood can be dangerous, that's exactly why we have training simulations against them. You know the difference between right and wrong, all I ask is that you keep a clear and level head."

Ciara relaxed her shoulders, taking a deep breath. "That's what you always say. That it's in my best interest..." She stood up, "I'm know I'm powerless but I am NOT a child anymore. I'm not some defenseless girl. I've been kidnapped, teleported to a foreign country, escaped from a Robot invasion... I think I can keep a level head." And with that Ciara marched out of the room, slapped her roller blades on and rushed off.

She needed some air. She knew the brotherhood could be dangerous. Everything in her life was dangerous. But still they treating her like some...some...little girl.

She rested on a park bench and couldn't help notice a man playing chess by himself. It wasn't the fact he was playing chess in the park but the fact it was past 7pm... Most people had gone home by now.

He was dressed pretty simply, a burgundy turtle neck sweater and a pair of grey pants all covered by a brown trench coat-typical old man wear but still stylish. Even though his hair was grey, streaked with white he looked well built and strong, as though he had lived a long time but never really aged.

Something about this man almost felt familiar. So much in fact that before she knew it she had rolled over to the table. "Do you always play chess during a sunset?" She asked, curiously.

"Hm?" the man lifted his blue eyes to look at Ciara and smiled, "ah, I find it's very peaceful at this time. Would you care to join me?"

Ciara smiled back, "Sure. I play all the time with my Dad. He always seems to win though." She sat down, popped off her wrist and elbow pads.

They reset the board and began a new game, "My name's Eric by the way." he introduced himself

"Nice to meet you, Eric. My name is Ciara." She looked at the board, white was facing her. "Pawn to E-4."
