Ohdaviing returned to Kayta as soon as his task was finished, he had made enough room for nine to fit comfortably; though they could hold maybe thirteen if need be. He silently returned to caring for his mate for the time being.

Elwon stole a bite of meat from Rei as she watched the two midnight coatls slowly wake. It was clear the female's affection for the other drove her, but it seemed the male was far more interested in the food before him then he was her; it wasn't until he left the last bit of fish for her that Elwon considered that he might be hiding it. The two coatls were quick to regain their strength; that was the benefit of a young body after all. It was hardly an hour before the two were cavorting about the lair.

The others continued their tasks at hand, keeping a close eye for any signs of injuries that didn't heal completely, but it seemed that a lack of nutrition was the only enemy left.

Valsharess suddenlgy reappeared in the lair, although not looking quite like the shadowy dragon who had left. She was covered in a glowing blue substance, almost as if she had been rolling in the glowshrooms. She carried lengths of silk and cloth, which she bore to the area Ohdaviing had cleared. She busied herself making nests in these spaces for the little ones, pretending not to notice the stares of Gwyn and Rei. Finished, she sat back, admiring her handiwork before curled over herself to turn around, looking at the hatchlings who had begun to stir. val patted her scales absently with a large grin, making sure her newly discovered glow wasnt going anywhere. "how many do you think Petri will allow us to take back?" She asked this of gwyn, but gave a fleeting look to this clans leader as well. "Once they can move."

Gwyn gave a great shrug of her shoulders, not yet concerned with this. "That is for the clan leaders to decide, oh glowing one," she teased Val, who puffed up in proud defense, "they will need to talk themselves about all that has passed."

Though most of the clan turned to watch as Val swooped back into the lair, none of them thought it important to ask. Ohdaviing, in particular, wore his question on his face, 'What has she been rolling in?', but it was never said aloud. The rest, it seemed, were too absorbed in their current roles as adoptive parents. Elwon was the last of the clan to take her eyes off of Val's new glowing coat, more than a small matter of envy had gripped her, but unlike her first meeting with Rei this time she turned her head away and held her chin high, as if to say 'I'm still better than you.'

Ohdaviing tore his attention from Kayta to respond to Val and Gwyn. "I would like to keep no more than ten," he said, motioning with his head to the relatively small temporary nest, "It would be difficult to house more than eight, and even six would be cramped with our limited ability to expand." Though he had never spoken to the others about it, their lair was surrounded by wild beast dens, swamp land and sacred forest; it effectively cut off any potential expansion. "I'm afraid we'll need to move the entire clan soon enough." Gradiel, having overheard the latter part of their conversation, sauntered over to his tree and promptly laid himself around it, now in utter refusal of doing anything else.
