I don't quite understand how this forum works yet...so I apologize if I do something wrong. Here is a poem I wrote a while ago. I was thinking of writing a story based on it, but I have not had the time yet.

Shadows, darkness-my true friends
Hiding amongst you once again
This confusing game is at an end
How nice it feels to win.
Something pounding in my chest
Heat rushes to my head
Push it down and move in
Why am I doing this again?
Somehow this girl seems so real
Realize suddenly I have wounds to heal
Everything inside begins to reel
Is thi what it's like to feel?
Hands pushing forward trying to stop the pain
As I'm drenched by the pouring rain
Sickening heart throbs begin to fade
I will walk my own way.
Was emptiness always this lonely
Chasms and cavities swallow me wholey
Can't find anybody at all
Let myself fall
As I lay my head on the ground
I'm only focused on one sound
Tears roll across her nose and fall down
Holding her hand I say I'mve found out
There's more than just myself
Going towards the light of someone else.
