Draco walked alongside his black stead, holding the leather reigns in his hand tight as he lead the creature to a stream to drink and rest. Political campaigns were usually tiring for all who were on it, especially the animals that carried them and hauled all of the things they brought as political gifts. Those gifts usually consisted of gold and treasures beyond the imagination of any man who was not a royal. He shook his head and knelt down by the stream to throw water over his face with his free hand. He shook his head, forcing himself back up to grab a snack for his black stead as they both shared the shade of the tree. "May I should have brought your brother out and about, he's a white stead and would not be so beat by the cruel sun," he spoke softly as he gently fed the horse before tying the reigns to a low branch to take off the saddle and care for his stead. He glanced to his men and nodded as they took care of minor things that needed to be done before they moved across the plain into the other kingdom to complete the campaign they were on. The woods they were in now was the perfect spot to rest before they continued on into direct sunlight. "You are doing good now boy, go ahead and rest a little. We haven't much farther before we reach our last stop and head home," he smiled as he was huffed at and shook his head. The horse had a mind of his own, and it never ceased to amuse the prince. He placed the saddle on the ground and the blanket before grabbing the brush from his pack and starting to brush the short soft fur of his black stead.

Draco and his men had been traveling out in the forests of their country for a couple of days now to get to the border of the next country then to head straight to the capital of that kingdom. Every year peace offerings were brought from each country, and his men had instructions to worry about only delivering the treasures to the other kingdom. His father had told them that, and he was glad. He did not want to be bothered for his every need and want by his men. Draco looked up at the sky as a warm breeze rustled his blonde hair, blowing it into his deep blue eyes. He stopped brushing for a second to push back the blonde locks as he moved around his stead, keeping a hand on the great horse to not spook him. "So tell me, who was the mare you were eying the last village," he joked only to have his horse neigh at him and stomp his hooves. He often talked to his horses, keeping them calm as he brushed them. Plus, if he told anyone anything.. it could lead to his downfall and he just couldn't have that as he came of age to take the throne.

Unlike his father, Draco was kind to the peasants and actually got to know them. He wanted to be a fair king, and doing so was too hard without knowing just who he was ruling over. Sure his father wasn't cruel, but he wasn't understanding to their problems. And even as he stood out in the dense forest by the clear stream did he consider what he needed to do next in order to prepare himself for taking the crown. It was something he didn't take likely.

He set the brush back in his pack as he fixed the dark red violet sleeve on his right arm and twisting the ring that had a blue gem that looked like a dragon's eye set in it's white gold metal. It always twisted when he brushed his horses, and it was irritating to fix. He raised his right hand to scratch his ear a little, moving the dark red violet piercings that adorned the outside of his ear and ear lobe. He was the only one who was dressed far different from those in his company, signifying that he was the Prince. His stretched up and looked at the sky again as he started to lay out the blanket on his horse's back to put the saddle back on. It was still clear, that was good... but they needed to get moving again out of the dense forest.

Rosette stopped further up the stream to let her horse stop adn get a drink while she went to check on the prince and his company. She had been following him for days on his journey to deliver treasures to the next kingdom, she was waiting for the right moment so that she could take him without anyone else noticing. She slowly crept up behind trees and watched the group, she brushed her brown hair out of her face as she peered arounf a tree. Seeing the prince brushing his horse she smiled and leaned back against the tree, she could still see her horse in the distance drinking from the stream.

She stood back up and slightly lifted her red dress off the ground and walked back to her horse, looking back she could just see the prince which ment that he could just barely see her if he looked her way but those chances were small. She leaned against her horses side and patted it's neck, she hummed softly as she waited for the prince to move on or start camp for the night. She thought back to why she had started this whole thing with finding out when the prince would leave and how often he left and who with. She smiled thinking about how it would feel when she knew that the king was feeling the same why she did when he ruined her family's life.

She stood up when she saw the prince re-saddle his horse, she mounted her hourse and waited for him to start moving until she left shortly after. She traveled a short while behind him and off to one side not wanting to be directly behind him or too close. She didn't want anyone to know that she was following or the could trace her back to who she was and where she lived leaving this whole this and waste of time. She tried to kept as quiet as she could not being too worried about the odd twig snapping beneath her horse's hoves, she kept low on her horse knowing that her dress was red in colour.

Draco put the brush away as he looked to his men and watched them start to pack things up. He placed the blanket on his stead's back and smoothed it out before placing the saddle over it and fastening the belts to hold it up. "There we go boy, all ready to go. Let's go round them up and get going," he said with a gentle pat to the animals neck before grabbing his pack and climbing on, using the stirrup to step up and swing his leg over onto the other side. He made a soft clicking sound and the horse turned to the left to circle around a little then trot over to the men. They were already packing up when the prince gathered them and told them that they would be traveling late into the night to make up for the lost time. They only nodded, knowing that Draco didn't approve of the idea himself, but they had to make up for the time that had been lost in the beginning when a few of the wagons had broken.

Soon enough they were on their way again, Draco in the center of the caravan so that he was well protected. This was something that they had not allowed him to get out of. He was their Prince, and a kind and intelligent one at that. There was no way that the would allow him to stray as he wished to do. Draco just shook his head as he rode along, having let go of the reigns so that he could read his book to pass the time. He still had quite a few things to learn before he assumed the throne, and right now he could multi-task by reading the books that his father had sent him to read. He was currently reading The Prince by Machiavelli. It was a book that he knew was required for him to understand polices his father had set in his reign and for him to continue or alter to which he saw fit. Draco looked up from the book and sighed. "Arthur, tell me this book gets better. It's dreadful and I'm not even done with the first chapter! Tell me it gets better than this rubbish. Machiavelli was a great mind, but for this kingdom some of these things are both asinine and completely erroneous," he complained to his assistant. Arthur shook his head and laughed at Draco's dread filled expression. It was the only thing he had to do for now, so he just sighed and flipped the page of the book to continue reading until they were far enough to stop for the night.

By the time they settled down, it was late at night. Camp was quickly set by the men as the Prince went into the forest again to water his horse and brush him. "Kage, you did well today. Tomorrow we will get there ahead of schedule. That will be good right?" He said as he knelt down to the river and washed his face with the cool water. He took a deep breath and smiled. It was a beautiful night and the moon was high in the sky and full, shining a dim light onto the water. He had laid his sword at his side so that he could relax with his black stallion.

{Sorry I was away for most of the weekend without internet conection}

Rosette followed them until they stopped for the night, she stopped a short distance behind them and left her horse to wait her to return. She quietly walked towards the camp to try and follow the prince, seeing that he walked off to wash his face and rest alone with his horse she smiled. Quickly and quietly she walked up behind him, she ignored the fact that his horse was trying to warn the prince of her presence. She wrapped her one arm around his head and quickly covered his mouth while she pressed down on a pressure point leaving him uncontious. She pulled him backwards so that she could tie his hands and feet, pulling the rope off of her side she tied his feet together and then tied his hands together.

Looking back at the horse she smiled knowing that she couldn't leave the horse, she stood up and walked over to it and patted it taking the reins and bringing it closer to the prince. She had waited her whole life for this practicing and training so that she would do it without fail, she lifted the prince up and threw him over the saddle. Making sure that he wasn't going to fall off she picked up his sword hoping that this would make it look like he ran off on his own, she took a piece of cloth out of a side pouch on her dress she tied it around his mouth so that if he did wake up he wouldn't bring to much attention to them. Patting the horse on his neck she took the reins again and started walking back to where she left her horse.

She tried to keep quiet but she couldn't help the fact that the horse was stepping on branches causing them to snap, she continued to walk but kept looking back to make sure then none of the men from the camp were following or noticed. She walked into a branch once when she looked back but only her dress tore a little and she continued on. Reaching her horse she mounted it and held onto the reins as well and the prince's horses reins so that it would follow her, she turned her horse around and started to head in the other direction to put some distance between the gaurds and them.

{Sorry if it seems a little rushed}

Draco had just finished re-saddling his stead when he realized that Kage was off kilter. He frowned and tried to calm his friend before he felt a thin arm move about his head. He cursed and got ready to fight back when he felt his head swirl as darkness took a hold of his consciousness. The world swirled as the black over took his vision and he sank to the ground, dropping his sword and the reigns to Kage. His horse in turn neighed and huffed stopping his hooves in protest as his rider was taken down. It was at times like this he wondered if the Prince was smart enough to notice that his life was in perpetual danger. His eyes widened as his reigns were taken by the unfamiliar human, he reared back at first but realized quickly he was going to Draco. As a horse, Kage was more concerned at staying at the side of his rider than the other humans whom wore metal cans were.

Kage continually stomped on the small branches trying to make enough nose to stir the dead from their slumber as Draco lay across his saddle unconscious and dead to the world. His blonde hair hung over his face as the rope held his hands behind his back, binding him as he hung there. His feet dangled as the ropes were wrapped around the leather of his brown boots. Honestly, as he had gone down he could only think that he had no enemies and had been honored by their neighbors and allies as the heir apparent. So there was no cold relationships between any of the countries.. so who would break a treaty and bring upon themselves the threat of war with the entirety of the region on his side? But those thoughts no longer mattered as he lay useless and bound.

Draco stirred as his consciousness started to return to him. His head turned and his blonde hair fell into his face as he tried to get a grasp of how heavy his body felt. Whomever had knocked him out had used his pressure points against him, and his body was punishing him for leaving himself so open. He groaned and threw his head back as he tried to move and stretch. His eyes had yet to be pried open, fearing the piercing pain of any light that may have been around.
"Arthur...? Kage...?" He called in a hoarse voice.

Rosette continued to ride further and further away from the camp that the guards had made, she didn't need to be caught now so the distance was a good thing. Hearing a voice from behind her she turned around thinking that someone and followed her and was now making themselves know. She was in shock but when she saw no one she realized that it was the prince calling out, she sighed then started to move a little faster now that they were out of sight from the camp. She didn't respond to what the prince had asked he didn't need to know who she was nor was he going to find out anytime soon.

Rosette held the prince's reins more tightly she didn't need his horse running off now and headed towards and small cabin that wasn't to far away from them now. If they kept riding for another hour or two they would be able to reach it, she had made sure that there was somewhere else for her to keep the prince knowing that her home in the city wouldn't be a good idea. She looked over at the prince seeing that his eyes were still closed was a good thing and knowing that he had no weapon made her smile. She looked forward again and thought about what she would do with his horse she hadn't really planed on a horse but oh well it was making thing a bit easier for her.
