I can knit it, crochet it, hairpin it and broomstick it. When I lived with a friend I could weave it, but the loom was hers and I had to leave it behind. I hoard yarn something fierce. I have even had boyfriends offer to buy me some when I am having a bad week. Sometimes yarn is like my own unmade security blankie.

I can crochet, rather badly.

I only know two stitches and can just make giant squares, nice stress reliever though.

My mom taught me how to crochet when I was a teenager. ... I've since forgotten all that. :P

I am rather bad at granny squares, they always turn up different sizes for me. I love the blankets they are made into though. So warm and colorful. I really ought to make one out of the left over yarn I have. Goodness knows I have enough of the stuff.

Some of my squares turn out looking more like, I dunno if there is a shape to describe it but I defiantly wouldn't call them square. :insane:

Have you tried blocking them? You wet them and stretch them out on a surface the right size and pin them down. That way when they dry, they are the size you blocked them to. I personally hate to block things.

I love to knit and crochet. I just enjoy the feeling of making something fun and functional, both as gifts and for myself.

Right now I'm working on a winter hat to give as a gift. I've made one before, so this one is getting a few small changes in design to make it warmer and better looking.
