You're welcome, I guess, Rylynne. My friend did it a little while back on DA so I really wanted to do it, and this challenge is the perfect thing to actually make me do it.

No worries. XD I have a whole pile of artwork I owe to people, so I know I won't get started until sometime in June. XD And I may need to do the second challenge after June. XD ("The second" being whichever of the two I don't do first. :B )

Mellie, I agree. D: Hands and feet are definitely one of my biggest weaknesses. ;_; </3
I remember when I was still really young, I would always draw my characters with their hands behind their backs, just so I wouldn't have to draw hands. 8DD;;

Rylynne, I used to do the same thing! Their hands were always behind their back or hidden behind something. :3

I guess it's one of those ingenious things that all beginning artists do huh?
"Well, I'm not really good at drawing hands.... I know, I'll just hide them back here."

LOL. I think I've decided what to do for the second technical challenge. Something I have done several times and find kind of fun to do. :B
Nothing to do with hands, though. The conversation just reminded me. XD
Anyway - to be on-topic.... It is intimidating to get started on the 100 hands challenge, but once you get going, it's not so bad. You'll hate the first few, but it tends to get better. XD And then when you see yourself improving, you relax and it becomes easier to do. :3

Yea, I haven't quite started on that yet. 100 is a rather intimidating number. :0
Oh! I'm curious as to what the next challenge will be.
Also, found something on the net that might be helpful to some people. The Grimace Project It's sort of a face generator. It gives six different feelings (ex. sad, disgusted) and you make an expression on the provided face by controlling how much of the feeling the face shows and even combining two expressions. I'm not very good at coming up with new expressions myself, so I've got this bookmarked for sure.

Oh - that's really awesome. XD It'd be a whole lot more useful if you could "pause" it. But it'll only stay on the expression you've selected for a few seconds. Not bad if you can remember what setting you had it on, though. :3
::goes to add that link too:: :3

Ha, I wouldn't say that. I just happen to keep finding things lately. I only found it because I googled Making Comics by Scott Mccloud and that popped up.
True CK, but I guess that's what screenshots are for. :shrugs:

XD "Making Comics" is a really good book. I own that one and want to own more of his books. I've read the original book by him and thought it was so useful I asked for "Making Comics". Now I should repair my karma and own the original too. :3 :offtopic:
Awesome, Mel! There's no time limit on it. I haven't finished my 100 hands either. >_> But even getting started is a success. :3 The biggest hurdle of completing anything is getting started at all.

Sho, that's an awesome site! =O <3<3
I already added it to my Favorites in my Bookmarks section. xDD;;
And I've never heard of this book entitled "Making Comics", to be honest. ^^;; You two seem to be giving it a good reputation for me though. 8DD;; Is it an actual comic or a guide on how to make comics? xDD;;
And yay for mellie! :> At least you've started, which is definitely a good thing. 8DD;; <3<3

CK, you've outdone yourself, this is a great idea!
I'll pm you in a bit with a link I think you'll find interesting and a challenge idea. n.n It's a website with tons of 3d poses, entirely free.

CK: "Understanding Comics", his earlier book was an optional pick for one of the class I took last semester, so I'm familiar with him.
Thanks Rylynne, I'm glad to share these useful things that internet has to offer. If you interested in "Making Comics" and like me have no money or can't get to the bookstore just yet, Harper Collins offers a Browse Inside Making Comics I have no idea if the whole book is included, but it's start until we can find it in book form right?

I'll get to browsing it in a little bit. :>
In the meantime, I'm almost done with my commission! :'D <3<3
Well, one out of two, but that's better than nothing. xDD;;
So, I hope to get started on this real soon~ :>
