I used to. I'm too busy and lazy for books now. I do read a lot of fanfics though.

I'd say equal. both are very important to me and quite interconnected.

too bad most books don't get illustrations. I'm illustrating something for zephi though.

Most of my Mercedes Lackey books have a few illustrations in them.
Turns out that her hubby, Larry Dixon is an artist, and he did them.

that's interesting. most illustrations in adult books seem to be maps of the world and the likes. that's what I've noticed anyways. YA books have drawings in them sometimes.

They have maps, but these illustrations were all characters.

Aren't covers usually done by somebody else?
That's usually decided by the publisher.

who knows. that's what i thought as well, but lots of people are self-publishing now.

Vanity Press is where you pay to have your books or whatever published so that you can be a "published" author.

Instead of a publisher paying YOU to publish your book...

It also explains why Amazon has so many really cheap ebooks.
