"Is it that hard to imagine yourself being adorable, I mean you blush at the drop of a hat," not that Declan was much better, but seriously Koda's face spent half their time together flushed pink. "And besides, how was I supposed to resist kissing the pout of your face?"

"Ah seriously?! I never blushed that easy before!" Koda exclaimed as he placed his hands on his cheeks, feeling the heat that was still there. He couldn't help but pout again. "It's your fault that I became cute..."

Declan laughed outright at that. "You are absolutely ridiculous, and I have no doubt you have always been adorable."

Koda didn't think so, but he couldn't really think of a way to prove that to Declan. "Nope, I can't see adorable when I look at my school pictures and stuff. I think about myself and...no. I think it's just your weird brain," he said, shaking his head.

"Maybe it's just based on my attraction to you. I'm sure their are others who find you adorable! And of course you don't look adorable in your school pictues, everyone looks horrible in those!"

Koda just tilted his head, pondering that statement. "But I don't want anyone else to find me adorable. Isn't it enough if it's just you?" he asked. He hadn't thought about it. Normally the words attributed to him were punk or brat. He'd never been the popular kid at school that everyone said was cute.

Declan chuckled, resisting the urge to reach out and kiss Koda again, instead he just shook his head, "Well it's okay if I'm the only opinion that matters to you."

With a sigh Koda said, "I never thought I would be the type to say such lame things though. The delinquent in me has died! I miss him...How is it that I actually like it when you say I'm adorable?" It wasn't just Declan who was acting weird today. Koda was also horribly out of character and he couldn't bring himself to change.

"Kinda comes with the territory of being in a relationship....You start doing things you normally wouldn't cuz it just seems to make since that way." Declan smiled in what he hoped was a reassuring way.

"So being weird is normal?" Koda asked. He found himself wanting to groan. He didn't know what to do with an answer like that. No one explained the rules of a relationship to him before he decided to try one out. "These relationship things are confusing then."

Declan reached out and grabbed Koda's hand, twining their fingers together, "I guess they are but that's part of the fun of them." He smiled softly, content, "They're worth the confusions and the complications because you get to be with a person you really care about."

Koda smiled at Declan, enjoying the way their fingers twisted together. Somehow it made them seem as if the physical distance between them had lessened infinitely by that act. "Yes, I think you may be right on that. I'm not complaining. I really like figuring out all of these things and feeling myself get closer to you. It's like every time I see if, I just just a little bit closer."

Declan nodded in agreement, rubbing a thumb across Koda's knuckles, his calm smile still in place. "I like that I get to know you, the real you. Not whatever tough guy front you think you need to put up. And I get to make you blush, which is always a bonus." He teased.

"Aw, but my tough guy isn't a front," Koda complained. "I just happen to unfortunately also be the person that can blush in front of you." As if to accent his words, a small blush tinted his cheeks, as if just talking about blushing could bring one. He looked away from Declan to stare at their hands. He didn't mind the touching although it was strange for him, but he was starting to think that Declan was a lot more touchy-feely than he'd thought.

"Mm-hm, it's totally not a front," Declan agreed, huffing a small laugh. Declan sighed, it'd been too long since he'd had a boyfriend. Declan wasn't like Gary and really didn't do too many one night stands, he always felt dirty afterward, but he craved touch. Though honestly not the type of touch you got from a one night stand. He liked hand-holding, ruffling his boyfriend's hair, small pecks and kisses, cuddling on the couch. The small things. The intimate things. And he realized that a relationship with Koda was going to be tough because the other male was so new to relationships, and Declan had been called clingy by asshole boyfriends in the past.

Koda tilted his head as he turned his attention back to Declan. Unexpectedly, he found himself easily reading things on his face. He wasn't sure what he was reading there, but he knew he was reading things. "You're thinking something..."

Declan shrugged, "I don't know, I guess I'm just thinking how nice it is to hold your hand and get to kiss you. Thinking how starved for that type of interaction I'd been of late."

"O-oh..." was all Koda could say at first. Declan was so blunt, although Koda had asked. Then he surprised himself by smiling brightly. "I think it's really nice to hold your hand! Maybe I'm getting the hang of this stuff?"

"Haha maybe you are, though I think we'll call it a success when I can kiss you without you spazzing, huh?"

Koda huffed and looked away with a false indignant look. "I don't spaz!" He probably should get better about that thought. It was a little embarrassing for a guy to freak out every time he was kissed. "It's just that...I well...I really like it when you kiss me," he explained after a second. He glanced back at Declan out of the corner of his eyes, trying to see how Declan would react to that.

"And the fact that you like it when I kiss you makes you spaz why....?" Declan asked, slowly, not quite following Koda's logic.

"Shush! Don't ask me to explain myself! It is because it is and yeah, maybe I just like to spaz! Ugh...even I think I'm spazzing too much," he said with a wince.

Declan chuckled, "I think you officially make no sense, but I don't think I should be surprised. How about this, what if I say I want to kiss you right now, do you think I could do so without you spazzing?"

Koda bit his lip, already turning pink. It was even more embarrassing when Declan announced beforehand that he would kiss him. It made Koda anticipate. He nodded his head though, not trusting himself to say anything right now.

Declan let go of Koda's hand as he reached up both hands to encircle Koda's face, leaning forward to place a light, but lingering kiss to Koda's lips.
