Toenails don't bother me so much as the damn noise of people clipping their nails. Totally a cringe worthy sound and people that clip their nails at work, ugh. Grosses me out hearing that sound.

Definitely gross to think about people clipping their nails at work! Oh boy oh boy.

Queenie, do people at your work do that often? I feel like I may have heard someone clipping their nails in the restroom in my office once, but I may also be misremembering...

clipping is fine, now gnawing on them is another story...

Not at my current job, but when I worked for the bank the manager that sat behind me would clip her nails once a week. Hearing that was brutal. Made sure to have my earphones in so I couldn't be tortured by it. Loved that job because we weren't customer facing so we could listen to music on our phones or iPod. No work phones to answer.

I clip my nails at work on occasion cause I broke them. But it's just a quick clip and done. Ain't nobody got time to be sitting around grooming themselves. Do that crap at home on your own time.

@Queeneh: I really don't take advantage of listening to music at work nearly as much as I intend to. I feel like it always distracts me or I'm always unsure of what mood of music I need (I never trust a shuffle/radio vibe, I'm typically the type who plays a whole discography by one artist after a another... which just makes it so complicated...).

Grooming of that nature should be done at home.

Listening to music helped me concentrate and get more done. Especially kept people from asking me useless questions. Of course I became a team lead and everyone came to me for questions because that was now part of my job title. Thankfully my production wasn't as important anymore. Woo hoo!

....what did you do to my thumb? That's grooooooossssss. x_x

I wish I could listen to music at work, but we gotta communicate, so no. I could drown out some of the idiocy of my coworkers. -_-

I dunno, I definitely stopped actively coming here in late 2011. So I think it's safe to say that I really wasn't an active Mene member from january 2012 to last week.

I've been the same hermity cookie as always. Though in real life, I've had a fairly busy summer between work and my new hobby of chasing down food trucks to eat all the things! Or rather, I just go to a lot of food truck rallys and eat all the things. Om nom nom. But yeah, nothing super exciting in Cookie life.

FOOD TRUCKS ARE THE BEST, COOKIE!

There's this delicious food truck in my city that has tostones. I'm obsessed. I mean, it's not really food-food, but it's one of my faves.

We have a solid food truck scene here, generally speaking. We also have an annual food truck festival where dozens of trucks from the tristate area and beyond park and it's heaven. Even such oddities as a creme brûlée food truck...

I don't mind snakes at all. I was raised learning to leave them alone.

I remember seeing Facade back when I was a weak poster.
