He'd called him a thing. Narrowing his green eyes, the blond let out a slow steady breath of air. Oh, this man was going to regret that. Carefully eying the bags in the room, he caught sight of something very interesting that he wanted to look at. Quickly reaching out to grab the bag in question, he grinned mischievously and sauntered out of the room and slipped into his own. Locking the door behind him, he went to plop down on his dark green blankets and slipped the one of the sketchbooks out, though he didn't touch any of the other art supplies. Raising an eyebrow, the domovik began flipping carefully trough the pages while marveling silently at the skill his roomate showed. Such pretty landscapes and animals drawn so well, it would be a shame to damage any of them.

Finally finishing with his project, Alec put the pencil back in the baggie. Well he wasn't completely done, but he was with getting the main details. Tomorrow he could color it in for her. Checking his phone for messages, he grinned softly at seeing a few from his family, sending back a few quick replies. Tossing the electronic on the bed, he got up and made his way to his suitcases, grabbing a towel and his shower supples from one and some clean clothes from the other. Entering the bathroom he had to pause and stare in disbelief. He really got a sunk-in tub? And a shower? Damn. This really had to be his best decision ever. A whole room to himself, and a bathroom? It was pure heaven. Deciding to save the bath for later, maybe for a different day, he went to the shower. Shucking off his clothes he turned the taps to the right temperature and got in, making quick work of washing up.

A few minutes later, the brunette stepped out of the bedroom, black boxers just peeking out from over his dark blue plaid sleep pants. He hadn't bothered with a shirt, just a towel to catch the droplets from his hair. Ignoring the couch entirely incase that prick was still there, Alec made his way into the kitchen, checking out what was there to cook. It was one of the few things that had really connected him to his mom, the love of cooking. Well they liked cooking mostly, but they really loved baking stuff. Grabbing a package of thawed out chicken, tossin the rest of the meat in the freezer except for the package of pork chops. While in the freezer he found a bag of vegetable medley, which he plopped on the counter to thaw a little. He didn't care that the directions said not to, he was going to eventually throw some sort of sauce on them before throwing them into the pan with the diced chicken. It was his mother's favorite quick fix, and extrememely versatile for whatever sauce or marinade you had on hand.

Humming softly as he cooked, it didn't take him long to finish it up, well didn't feel that way to him, and as he stared at the pan and pot full of rice, he sighed softly. He'd made too much. He was used to having to cook for his family and there was quite a few people there. Grabbing a couple plates and silverware, he set the table, portioned out the food so that most of the extra was in sealed containers for later, the portions for tonight brought to the table. Looking once more in the fridge for a drink, Alec decided to grab a bag of salad mix and a couple bottles of dressing; italian and ranch, then grabbing a glass to fill with the white grape juice he found there. Honestly, this place was awesome and yet freaky with how he could easily find all his favorites.

Setting everything up on the dining table, he went back to the couch to see if the guy was there. Leaning against the back of the couch, he looked over the edge, blushing furiously at the sight that greeted him. This....whatever the hell the guy was, had fallen asleep on the couch, one of his manga resting open on his chest, a hand down his pants and a minor wet spot there too. Calmly snatching up the book and hiding it in his room, he grabbed one of the other couch pillows as he came back over, Alec smacked the guy with it before holding it over the guys face for a few seconds, shouting that he was thief and a pervert before removing the pillow and staring down at the other with his arms crossed over his chest, trying his best to look upset even as he fought to not blush anymore.

Alice's eyes followed Kiryl's every movement. Those eyes widening when the other grabbed his messenger bag. His art supplies were in there! Always he kept them close. That man had no right to touch them. Alice had reached to snatch the bag away from Kiryl but the unnatural creature had slipped past him. "Stop!" Alice's bottom lip trembled. What was Kiryl going to do with his sketchbooks? A shiver ran down his spine as he immediately assumed the worst. Of course, Alice was angry. He was seething. Alice was often quick to get angry but nothing could get him angry quicker than someone taking his art. Or touching it without permission.

The white haired young man moved through the apartment to Kiryl's bedroom and jiggled the handle. Of course it was locked. He pushed and pulled at the door for a few moments, scowling. He turned from the door and moved through the apartment, looking for something heavy enough to penetrate through the door. An angry Alice was a violent Alice, but he would never do anything that he thought would harm another person. No matter how angry. Gritting his teeth he moved from room to room until he found a chair he could lift that seemed solid enough.

No warning was given, no words spoken as Alice stood outside Kiryl's door again. Looking it over carefully and then the chair in both hands. After a few moment's thought, none of them about how he might pay for the damages he was about to cause the apartment, or that the landlord might toss him out for such property damages though, Alice tossed the chair as hard as he could with both hands. The chair sailed the short distance through the air and crashed through the door with a loud noise.

Of course the chair got stuck about halfway through, but Alice didn't hesitate reaching into the large hole that had been made and unlocking the door. He pushed the door open, with the chair still in it, far enough to let him slip inside easily. "Give it back. Now." He was glaring hard at Kiryl.

Ambroise had fallen asleep after very obviously enjoying a scene in that manga. He hadn't meant to fall asleep so quickly, or with his hand still resting just under the waistband of his pants, but he had. He slept rather comfortably too, not even noticing as Alec moved around the apartment or cooked dinner. Though his nose did twitch slightly at the scent. A lazy smile was on Ambroise's lips as well, if one couldn't tell he had enjoyed that manga just from that, there was a bit of moisture on the front of his pants to confirm suspicions. The nekomata would have continued sleeping peacefully if Alec hadn't smacked him with that pillow and then held it over his face.

He woke with a start, his ears twitched wildly for a moment and pressed against his skull as Alec shouted at him. Both hands came up quickly to fend off the pillow, but then it was gone. Ambroise blinked up at Alec, just staring at him as the other stared at him. "Your more a pervert than I am. It's your book after all. I only thought it looked interesting." Ambroise got to his feet quickly, and stretched, yawning as he did. His two tails twitching and swaying in contradicting directions, the black ears atop his head no longer pressed against his skull flicked and twitched lightly. "It was very interesting." He smiled mischievously at Alec, and sniffed the air, he looked towards the kitchen. "Oh. Did you make dinner?"

He didn't really care how much Alice tugged at his door, Kiryl was absolutely in love with his art. He wanted it all to himself, or at least just one drawing. No, he wanted the man to draw him in his cat form. Tilting his head this way and that, Kiryl tried to figure out how to make it so the man would do so. Maybe if he jumped in his lap and purred and begged? Actually deigned to cook for him?

When the tugging at his door stopped, the young man put away the sketchbook he held and plucked out another gently. They were treasures, these pages filled with charcoal and colored pencils. There had to be a way to make the young man draw him. That was when there was a large crashing sound, making him curl around the book protectively with a barking hiss. Looking up with a disheveled expression, Kiryl had to stop himself from leaping up and hurting the other male. That door was his property and he'd made a horrible mess! Such a mess! There was no way he could repair it without using magic, and he didn't have so much squirreled away that he could waste any for this.

"Get me another door and I will. You aren't getting these back anytime soon now." Grabbing the bag and it's contents, the blond pulled the whole close. It was his, well not really, but he wanted it all to be his.

That blush, which had been slowly disappearing, returned in full force. Maybe he was a pervert for having the book, but it had been a gift from a friend of his. He couldn't just throw it away. "Still a thief, prick." He murmured softly as he walked away. Taking the towel off from around his bare shoulders, he rubbed away a bit more to get the excess water off his hair, running his fingers through it to smooth out the shoulder length locks before pulling it back into a ponytail. Tossing the towel on his bed he came back out and sat down at one of the chairs. "Yeah. I got everything cooked. Ended up making too much so I put half of it away. Hope you don't mind chicken stir-fry with rice, or Mandarin Orange Teriyaki marinade. I ended up using that as the sauce." Alec explained, already serving himself some of the salad and the stir-fry, adding some of the italian dressing to the salad before spearing a leafy green with his fork to munch on.

He glared hard at Kiryl for a few moments longer, then those eyes danced wildly about the room. Looking for something to break maybe, and looking for the remains of his things which he was sure would be mutilated and harmed in some way. It didn't look like any of his pages had been ripped out and ripped up and tossed aside. Though if they had been, they would probably be in a trashcan instead of on the floor. Alice was very angry, but the burst of adrenaline that had allowed him to put a hole in the door with chair was fading. He wouldn't be able to do that again. His eyes were on Kiryl again, he didn't like the way the other man clutched at his art things. Though he was slightly surprised he didn't see or smell any remains of a burning sketch book. Nor were there broken pens or pencils laying around.

Alice's body trembled with anger though, and he took a few threatening steps towards Kiryl. He wouldn't harm the man, but he could threaten. "Give my things back. Now!" Alice's voice was a bit shaky though, his anger was fading fast, being replaced by dread and fear. Would Kiryl hurt him because of what he had done to the door, or was the man going to make him watch as he destroyed Alice's art? Alice tried to bite back that fear but his voice was was still a bit shaky. "If you want to steal my things, then fine. Go ahead. Take everything I own except my art. Leave my art alone. Give it back. Don't touch it. Don't look at it. Don't think about it. Just give it back. Now!" Alice moved closer and reached for his things, ready to snatch them back.

Ambroise was still smiling when Alec walked away, and came back. The nekomata hadn't moved towards the food until Alec sat down at the table. He followed Alec to the table and looked over the food there. Vegetables. There seemed to be quite a bit of vegetables, and leafy green stuff. Ambroise's nose wrinkled just slightly. "Look's good. I'm Ambroise, by the way." He didn't sit down at the table, his eyes roaming over the food for a few moments more. He wasn't planning on eating any of the salad, or the vegetables, or the rice.

For a moment Ambroise hesitated, it would be rude, this guy had made them dinner, and all the nekomata was interested in was the meat. Oh well. He picked at the stir fry, putting on pieces of chicken on his plate. It took him a minute or two, before he had a nice serving of the chicken on his plate. Then he moved to the fridge and pulled out a half empty, half gallon of milk. Ambroise sat down in front of his plate of chicken and opened the half gallon.

He ate a few pieces of chicken and glanced at Alec "This is pretty good." Then he lifted that half empty half gallon jug to his lips and drank deeply of it's contents. His tails twitching a bit behind him as he set the jug down to finish eating his chicken.

Putting down the things on the edge of his bed, the domovik's shoulders slumped a little. "I just wanted to look, it's all so pretty." Fearing the rebuttal that such words might bring, Kiryl quickly shifted to his cat form and made a sound between a bark and a meow. That further embarrassed him and made him crouch down low on the bed.

He looked rather pitiful at the moment as he nudged the bag forward gently. Lifting his big green eyes up, the cat shaped domovik felt his ears tilt down to the side of his head. Kiryl felt a little bad about this all, and since he had to live with the man he might as well try to get on his good side. This definitely wasn't going well. Meowing again, he tried to look as cute as he possible could before jumping off the bed and rubbing against the other man's legs.

Eating the food quietly, Alec had to admit he felt a little unnerved as the other, Ambroise, stood there staring at the food. Wasn't he going to eat? Sighing in mild relief as the male went to grab the half gallon of milk, the brunette stared at him in confusion. More so when the...damn it, Alec just for the life of him figure out what the hell the other was. But the ass was only picking out the meat. Leaving everything else. Was he allergic to the vegetables? Then Ambroise was drinking straight from the container of milk. Shuddering mildly, the human knew he was now going to stay far away from that container now. Maybe next time he goes shopping he'll pick up two and label one the other. "I'm Alec...So what are you exactly?" He asked at the end, though if his mother had been around, she'd probably have popped him upside the head for being insensitive. Even if it was a bit hypocritical, as she was just as blunt as he was.

When Kiryl put his things down on the edge of the bed, Alice hesitated. Was the man just trying to draw him closer and trick him? Though the way Kiryl's shoulders had slumped Alice didn't think the other meant any harm. Maybe. Who knew with unnatural non human creatures? The man had changed again and Alice stepped back for a moment. "...You could've asked to look..." He mumbled the words weakly, his bottom lip trembled. He moved towards the bed, ready to take his things, and quickly he snatched his things. Clutching it to his chest protectively and possessively.

Alice watched Kiryl warily, when the cat rubbed against him, Alice started to lower himself some. Very gently he stroked a finger across the top of Kiryl's feline head. Then the white haired boy turned and fled to his room, closing his door hurriedly. With his back pressed to his door he slid down to sit on the floor. Placing his art things next to him as he hugged his knees to his chest. Kiryl was a kitty, and cats were nice. He wouldn't do anything mean to Alice or his art, right? Alice shuddered lightly.

Ambroise finished his chicken rather happily. It was delicious, and soon after the chicken was done, he finished off that half gallon of milk. He stared at the empty jug long and hard, glaring at it a bit as his ears laid down a bit as he tried to look menacing. As if he could threaten to jug to magically refill itself with milk. He couldn't of course, that would just be silly. With a sigh he poked the empty container as his ears stood back up and twitched around. Those eyes on Alec now.

When Alec asked him what he was, Ambroise shrugged and smiled. "Japanese call my kind nekomata. I'm not sure what the English equivalent is." His two tails twitched and flicked. "Basically, a nekomata is a cat that generally walks on it's hind legs. We have complete control over fire, and we have control over the dead, can manipulate them as if they were nothing more than puppets." When Ambroise spoke of his abilities he sounded rather proud. His purple eyes seemed to glint with mischief though, even when he wasn't thinking of causing any. "This obviously isn't my true form. I'm just a black cat with two tails really."

Now why was he acting so very odd? Letting out a small confused meow, Kiryl sat down to lick a paw and rubbed it over his ears. There had to be a reason behind this human's strange behavior. Shrugging, the domovik returned to his human form and stood to look at his door with a resigned sigh. If he'd known the man would react this way he would never have taken his things, though it was kind of worth it. That was the only reason why the house spirit didn't go haring off to destroy everything in the home, and making everything a mess. No, instead he shifted the door around so he could wiggle and tug at the chair till it was in his hands and the hole in the door was gapingly evident.

Standing back and scratching his head, Kiryl sighed. Well at least the jumpy man wasn't going to see him use his magic to fix this. It was about the only thing he could do under the circumstances. Placing his hands on the door he called all the splinters to return to their places, and then stepped back to look at his work. Though a little tired and frustrated, Kiryl was quite proud of himself. A grumble from his stomach reminded him he needed to eat, so he moved to the fridge and began pulling out what he needed to make a nice hearty stew. He whistled a little as he began to cook, trying very hard to show that he wasn't angry just in case his roomate decided to come out from his hiding spot.

Finishing his food, Alec considered what the other had to say. Propping an elbow onto the table, cradling his chin in his palm, he sighed. "Lovely. My mother was right then. Maybe...I mean if you're real then so are the other things, like ogres and kitsunes and maybe even the gods." Oh he was not going to enjoy having that conversation with his mother, or the rest of his family. She was already seen as weird for still believing in that kind of thing. 'Childish' many of the other adults would say about her. It pissed him off so bad though when he heard it. He thought she was cool. She held onto her beliefs when everyone else tore them down. Shaking his head slightly, he let his mind wander over the others powers. Another thing he wasn't too thrilled to let his mom know. She was a self-proclaimed pyro bug and thought necromancy was cool. Alec however had an issue with dead people.

"Would I need to worry about waking up one day to either the apartment burning down around us or a zombie in my room?" He asked numbly. The brunette rather hoped not, magical or not, Alec wouldn't have problem smacking the other. "And are there any rules I need to be aware of?" That was always a good place to start. They did need to set down some ground rules if they lived together. But Alec wasn't so sure the other would listen. Cats never did. Cats also never did get along with him or his father. Sighing once more, the teen stood and collected the used dishes, snapping the lids onto the containers to save the leftovers and set the plates in the sink to be rinsed off before being run through the dish washer.

Alice sat there for a few more minutes, then slowly he rose. Reaching to the door handle he locked the door. The white haired young man was scowling a bit as he tried to figure out just how to handle Kiryl. Before doing anything, really, he would finish unpacking. That wouldn't take long, he didn't have a whole lot of things to unpack. Once Alice was done packing, and he'd placed a desk lamp on the desk in his bedroom, he sat down at that desk. His messenger bag of art supplies hanging on the back of his chair by it's strap and the half full sketch book open to a finished pencil sketch of a park in some other city. His pens and pencils and erasers were set out neatly on the desk and Alice grabbed one of the pens. To ink the outline and shade the picture some. It would help him relax and maybe he would come out of his room when he finished this picture.

Ambroise grinned a bit at Alec, watching him for a few moments. "Of course kitsunes and ogres are real. Just because you haven't seen them, doesn't mean they don't exist." Amusement danced in those purple orbs of his as he watched Alec. Ambroise couldn't help but laugh when Alec asked about zombies and burning the apartment down, the nekomata just shrugged and gave him an 'maybe' look. "Depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If you annoy me too much I might make a zombie chase you around, while I light your hair on fire." Ambroise grinned at him and ran a hand through his hair. Standing and stretching a bit. His tails twitching randomly. "Rules? Uhm. I only eat meat and sweet things, and I only drink milk and water. It'd be nice if you'd cook fish once in a while. I love fish. Also, I like sleeping on the couch." Ambroise turned from the table, leaving his dirty plate there. "I think I should go change my pants now." He chuckled softly as he left Alec there, so he could go to his own room and change.

Brent shook his head and started to laugh. "No I thankfully haven't developed multiple personalities." Grinning he ate another strawberry and studied his new room mate. "So tell me about yourself. I find myself curious about you." He truly was curious about her. She seemed different and funny. Now that they were room mates it only seemed right to know more about each other. They were going to have to live together for who know's how long.

Shifting around excitedly in her seat, Haldis grinned up at the tall man. "Well let's see ... I'm a pretty happy, eccentric person who loves having wonderful little adventures and finding out new things. My goal in life is to open my own paranormal investigation agency, but so far no luck at all." Shrugging, the young woman grinned at the shapeshifter. "Maybe you could go into business with me!" Who better to be her partner in such a venture then someone from the supernatural side of the tracks? It was such a great opportunity!

Still humming happily to himself, Kiryl puttered around in the kitchen for a while longer until the stew was done. Such a wonderful mix of meat and vegetables it was. Shaking his head slightly, he went to knock politely on his roomates door with the back of his hand. "Hey, suppers ready." He really wanted to make a wonderful impression on him, and hoped that this could help repair the damage he'd already done. Though Kiryl doubted such a simple and unusual thing as him making food was going to even begin to cover that.

Alice was busy. He was shading his picture, very carefully, with a steady hand and narrowed eyes as he concentrated hard on what he was doing. He barely heard Kiryl call through the door about supper. He heard the other man, but it was as if he were very far away. Alice was lost in his own world. He would come out when he was done, then he would go and buy a new door for Kiryl's room. But he wasn't coming out at all until he finished this piece. The white haired young man was nearly done, though by nearly done it would still take him about an hour or so to finish. He barely even smelled the scent of the stew as it wafted through the apartment and slipped under his door into his room.

Rolling is eyes, the blond man knocked again louder this time. Did his stew smell that bad? "Get out of there and eat! I can't promise there'll be anything left if you don't leave your room now." In fact, Kiryl could hear his stomach beginning to grumble loudly with the want for something to fill it. Mumbling to himself, the domovik rattled the doorknob to try and get the other man's attention. It was time to eat, he was hungry, and if he didn't get food Kiryl was going to be very grumpy. A grumpy house spirit was a malicious one. So Kiryl decided to wait a few more moments at the door before turning around with a sigh to ladle some of the stew into a rather bright green bowl. Settling down onto the sofa he flipped on the tv and ate his food.

Alice didn't respond, but when he heard the doorknob rattle, he blinked and looked around for a moment, as if waking from a dream. Then he turned to watch the door. Was Kiryl going to force his way in, break his door the way he had broken Kiryl's earlier? Then the rattling had stopped, and Alice relaxed as he heard the other walk away. Now he really smelled it though, the stew. It smelled delicious and Alice's stomach didn't make any noise, but he did feel hunger pains there. He glanced at his picture and frowned. "...Nearly done.." He mumbled softly to himself and returned to working on it. He would probably be done in about an hour and a half. Provided there were no more interruptions.

Finishing his bowl, the domovik yawned and shifted to his cat shape. Moving quickly to the nearest window, he settled down in the light to take a nice little nap. So what if the food burned, he'd eaten and at least it was there. If it tasted horrible and burnt ... Well that was his roomates fault for not coming out of his little cave to eat in time.

Alice did eventually come out of his room. Sketchbook, pencils, eraser and pen all in his hands. Honestly he'd forgotten about the food, and was intending to see if the scenery out the living room windows were worth drawing. Alice paused, something smelled a little burnt, he ignored it, because his eyes had fallen on the sleeping cat. It was Kiryl, of that he was sure. There were no other cats in here, at least he was sure Kiryl was the only cat in his apartment. Alice was very quiet, Kiryl was a very pretty cat. Carefully Alice sat down on the floor, not too far away, and opened his book. Immediately he began to sketch the cat and window it laid beneath. A look of pure concentration on Alice's face, the look he usually got when drawing. Originally he had come out to get a little food, but that could wait. As far as Alice was concerned, art was more important.

Ears twitching this way and that, Kiryl popped open a green eye to glance at Alice. If he could have smiled, the domovik would have. Instead he began to purr lightly when he noticed the man was drawing him. Kiryl's tail moved back and forth slowly as he closed his eye again and settled down comfortably. He didn't mind this, not one bit. In fact, Kiryl was hoping that maybe the other man would let him keep the drawing in question.

Chuckling Brent shook his head. Yeah this girl was eccentric all right. But he found her refreshing, she was so...normal. He wasn't use to being around people like her and he liked it. "That's an odd..but cool goal. It's not like I'm going to be doing anything else in my near future so why not. I'm down to go into business with you. I'd be great at undercover stuff and I can give you insight to anything that goes 'bump' in the night." Smiling he picked up the remote and turned the tv off. "This fruit isn't helping, you want something to eat? I'll cook us dinner." Standing up Brent reached up and stretched, bowl still grasped in one hand.

The brunette couldn't help it, if someone else was smiling, he had the tendancy to grin back. 'Mom did used to say that smiles were infectious.' He thought, though hs frowned as the other commented about the fire and zombies. Was the other teasing? He wanted to think so, but his mind became distracted as the other stretched. Well actually he was watching the twin tails, finding it fascinating that they moved randomly of each other. "Uh-huh..." He agreed softly, mind moving onto recipes he did know that included fish. When he shook his head, coming back to the real world, Ambroise was gone, dirty plate still on the table. Frowning as he murmured a few curses, the teen stood from his spot, collecting the plates and setting them on the counter by the sink.

Going back to the dining table, he put the food away, though in an effort to be nice he found a small container and separated the chicken into it for the nekomatta. Grabbing the excess of the salad bag, he twisted it and used a twist tie to keep it closed, stuffing that into the fridge. Alec debated not doing the dishes, the other was living here too, he should help do some of the work, but the brunette knew better than to hold his breath for that to happen. His uncle was a lazy shit. Scraping the plates clean of excess junk into the garbage can, he turned on the faucet to little more than just warm, grabbed the dish sponge and poured on a couple drops of soap. He knew the dish washer could've done all the work, but he was just so used to actually washing the dishes himself it was habbit.

Alice was concentrating on sketching out Kiryl. Sketching the cat and his immediate surroundings. It just wouldn't look right if there was no background and cats didn't nap in empty white space anyway. He didn't seem to notice at all when Kiryl opened an eye and looked at him, or when he started purring. He was in his own world. Nothing else was there but him and what he was drawing. All background noise was pretty much tuned out. Though a loud sudden noise would probably get his attention. It wouldn't take him long to get the sketch done, maybe forty-five minutes to an hour.

When Ambroise returned he wore nothing except a pair of tight black jeans that hung very low on his hips. So low in fact that his tails rested comfortably over the waist band of those jeans. No doubt if he bent over it would reveal half his ass to the world, but the nekomata didn't really seem to care. It wasn't like he was going out in public anyway. His ears twitched at the sound of running water and he smirked. Good thing Alec had decided to clean up the dishes, because Ambroise was too lazy to do something like that. He stood in the kitchen, watching Alec. "I'm out of milk, so you should go pick me up some soon."

In answer the young woman simply looked down at her grumbling stomach with a grin. "Of course I'm hungry, especially if I'm not the one cooking!" She would end up burning everything if she did. Haldis was a horrid cook, so much so that people didn't even want to teach her for fear of the kitchen burning down. Or something blowing up, like what had happened in high school with one of the school microwaves.

The longer Alice sat there sketching, the more Kiryl began to twitch. He wanted to move now! Letting out a disgruntle sound, he waited for as long as he could before leaping up and sauntering over to the drawing Alice had been working on. Pawing it at it insistently, the cat shaped domovik meowed plaintively. Kiryl wanted to see what Alice had made, and how he seemed to his eyes. It was always interesting to see how another person perceived you, and how better to do that then trough a drawing?
