The Real Me

Many people go throughout their lives living under the weight of Stereotypes. Weather it be within school, the workplace or wherever. Seeing what is on the surface, paying little attention to what lies benieth. The affects of this come in many ways, through bullying, being seen only as what people expect of you, or even being ignored altogether. For many, an escape comes within the mystery of the internet. A new chat site has opened up not well known by many yet. It goes by the name of "Wallflower". Where it came from is unknown, but it seems to allow people to remain anonymous, while speaking what is in their hearts and minds. Some hear of it by word of friend or coworker.

Few take it seriously, but slowly a group of people become curious, exploring the site and find eachother. They have no idea who eachother is in real life, but they all seem to have something in common. None of them are being heard or seen for who they truly are, but with eachother they can be themselves. Over time, their curiosity grows and it is discovered that all of the members of the chat room group live within the same city. It makes them even more curious, who could these people be? Could many of them possibly already know eachother? They decide to meet in a mutual area, but what will happen next is up to them. Will they be able to fully accept eachother, or will this only tear them further appart?

~Kiero Harumi~

Morning brought light through the curtains. For a moment, the mass under the covers refused to stir. It wasn't until an orange tabby with stripes jumpped up on the bed, that it stirred. A sleder hand protruding enough to scratch behind the cat's ear. "Nnn...ok Tigger, I'm up" a mumbled voice spoke from within. Another cat entered, meowing by the door. A black cat, with white paws, a white jowels and a white tipped tail. A chuckle came from the covers as slowly a messy head of blue hair peeked out. "Is that you Shadow?" the hand that had been scratching Tigger moved for a pair of glasses on the table by the bed.

The male sat up, causing the orange tabby to take a few steps back. "I'm up...bet you two are hungry huh?" the two cats meowed at the sound of the word food, then took off towards the kitchen. "Hey! Wait for me!" laughing, the male got up from his bed, slipping on a pair of slippers. The large house was empty, other than him and his furry friends. Shadow hopped up on the counter as he made his way into the kitchen. Tigger moving behind him and placing his front paws up onto the other's leg. They were both happy to be getting fed. Finding a can of wet cat food, he opened the lid and placed the contents in their bowls. The two cats moving over to them to feed. He pet both, causing Shadow to flick his tail and Tigger's ear to twitch, before moving back upstairs. He started the shower, getting inside to wash the night away.

After that is was brushing his teeth and getting dressed for school. He made his bed, going back down to eat himself. It was now that he opened his laptop, just browsing a bit as he ate. Noticing an e-mail, he clicked on it. The sender as unknown, which for a moment made him uneasy. He noticed there was a link inside, leading to some site called 'Wallflower'. He thought about deleting it, but after a moment he clicked on it instead. A chat site popped up, the layout was rather beautiful. The sign up was easy, e-mail, username and a password. It did not seem there were many people on it, so why did he feel drawn to it? Before he knew what he was doing, he had signed up, and a name popped up within the public room:

BookWorm has entered:

He blushed slightly, closing his computer immediatly. He finished his breackfast, placing the dishes within the sink. He dried off his hair, and slowly finished getting ready for school. His computer drew him in however, so he opened it. The site still pulled up, his slender fingers moved over the keys slowly.

BookWorm: Um....Hello?

It was a small post, and he wasn't really expecting anyone to answer it at all. With that he said goodbye to both Shadow and Tigger, grabbing his phone and his bag. He was heading to the school early to help at the library. Exiting the house, he locked up and went on his way.

Light violet eyes lowered to the bottom right corner of the bright computer screen, taking note of the time. He'd stayed up all night once again. No matter. He didn't have classes that day anyway, the perks of cramming his entire schedule into four days was that he had a three day weekend, not counting the days he took off for tournaments and other work related events.

A few clicks of his mouse and his fingers tapped across his keyboard expertly, slender fingers depressing keys to get his team to their final destination. Another couple of clicks and...the win was theirs. After entering and sending a compulsory 'good game' as was his habit, Yasu exited the game server and then out of the game completely. He pulled up a web browser and waited for it to load all his tabs, leaning back into his swiveling seat as he waited, pulling up a leg to curl under him. A moment later he felt sharp pricks in his leg before a heavy warmth settled in his lap. One hand went to his mouse to navigate through his emails while the other absently smoothed the grey fur over his feline companion's head.

Another tournament coming up...an invite to an event...interviews...school tuition...and...a new chat website? He hovered his mouth over the email, from one of the people he casually gamed with on the occasion. If it was recommended, he might as well give it a try. He clicked through, reading the comments his friend had also sent and then clicked the attached link.

His fingers tapped quickly across his keyboard entering a username, email, and the other information. It was really basic, but he had to admit that the site itself looked rather nice.

MadCat has entered:

His gaze settled on the chatroom and read the single message that showed back. He propped his head up with one hand and lazily typed with his other hand, his companion having fallen asleep in his lap, purring contentedly.

MadCat: Hey. What's up?

Phoenix groaned as the alarm blared into his eardrums. It marked that it was six AM and that it was time to get up. Even though to him it felt too early to be getting up to get ready, but his parents liked it so he made it a point to. Everyday, six AM, no matter if it was school or a weekend. While normally on this lovely morning he would have school, there were teacher conferences happening so his day of classes was cancelled. Much to his joy since it meant he could simply draw and read all day. Stretching and yawning he walked into his bathroom showering, then getting dressed in a simple white long-sleeved button up, black pants, and nice black shoes. While he wasn't comfortable in them, his parents deemed them appropriate.

Once he was finished getting ready he walked downstairs to the dining room of his house, where everyone already sat. Making him the last one, as usual. It wasn't saying much considering the only ones there were his parents, but that's only because his two siblings were both off away at top rated colleges. Even when they were here he was always last, making him even more a disappointment than he already was. Quietly he sat down at his end of the table. The breakfast was quiet with the only sounds being silverware clinking against the plates, chewing and the occasional words exchanged between his parents. When all was finished he patiently sat on the couch, waiting for them to finish getting ready, and waiting right till they were leaving to speak. "Mother, father. Goodbye. Have a good day at work," he told them, his voice almost child like. Of course as usual the only reactions he received were a grunt from his father, and a glance from his mother.

From there the house was quiet. The only sounds being the cook and the maid cleaning up. The two were a married couple and lived in the house in an extension where the family couldn't hear them. However they didn't interact with him. Just like his parents didn't either. With a sigh he trudged his way upstairs, changing into a more comfortable outfit of white pants and a thin white & purple hoodie, taking off his shoes all together. He then sat on his bed and opened up his laptop, logging on and heading straight for the internet.

On there he logged onto an art site, answering all the notifications he had, something common to the site when you were as good as an artist as him. After that he went to his email, getting rid of all the junk mail before noticing one he didn't recognize. He wasn't sure who it was from. Occasionally people from the art site sent him things through the site so he assumed it was from there. Opening it up he found it lead to a site called Wallflower. Curious he checked it out. He looked around his room trying to find something to be a username, when finally he noticed the mythology book on Phoenixes on his floor. He then thought about himself and how he burned so easily out in the sun. Finally creating his username and password, he entered the site.

White_Ashes has entered.

He saw that two others were already in the room. Both had typed greetings. Shrugging he typed his own back.

White_Ashes: Hello how are you?

Once sending the message he started reading one of his poetry books, waiting for an answer.

Heading towards the library, the school was oddly silent for the moment. Students would be arriving soon enough. He pushed open the double doors that led to the library, a smile coming to him from the head librarian. "Good morning Mr. Harumi" she said. He smiles warmly in return, "good morning." He went to the usual drop off bin after sitting his bag down, checking to see if there were any books that needed to be checked in and placed back on the shelves. "Do you mind watching the books for a bit" the librarian said, "I have a meeting this morning, so you will be on your own until school starts."

Kiero looked over to her, shaking his head, "not at all, it would be fine." She thanked him, moving out of the library. It was silent now, so he got to work checking in the books. He was a bit curious though, that chat room from this morning was still stuck in his mind. He knew phones were not usually allowed in the library, but he was alone after all. He usually followed all the rules, but the librarians were pretty lenient with him knowing he was a good kid. He slipped out his phone, pulling up the site as he went to the back to place the books on their correct shelves. He was actually surprised when the page loaded, and it already showed two replies since he had checked it this morning.

He did not recognize either of the names, though he guessed that was partially the point right? He found himself moving his fingers across the keys, typing a reply before slipping his phone away. He wondered for a slight moment who those two were. They did not know him either though...perhaps that was a good thing. Who would want to be chatting with him if they knew who he was. A slight sigh crossed his lips. True, he was a bit low on the food chain. Not a neard, but not super popular. Plenty just ignored him, others hated him because of issues with his brother. This made him sad, but he could not change their minds so easily.

Yasu didn't really expect a quick response. He was working on an assignment for one of his classes, doodling examples to be translated onto the computer screen when he had everything set into a pad of paper, when he heard an alert go off. He glanced up at his screen to see the Wallflower tab blinking. He dismissed it to finish up his sketches. He could get to answering whoever it was in a bit. He had some work to do, and he'd rather finish the sketches first instead of leaving everything half done.

His fingers expertly angled the pencil in his hands and a few shorts strokes later, he was done. After shuffling the pile of papers over to his scanner and pressing the power button, Yasu clicked on the blinking tab, reading the two messages that had popped up. While his scanner hummed to life, he laid his hands back over the keyboard and typed.

By the time his scanner was finished loading up, he had sent his response. He swiveled his chair, slowly so as to not disturb the napping feline, and began scanning his work into his computer. He would go over the line work in an art program and then work out the other technical stuff afterwards. It would take him at least a couple hours to get the final lines down anyway.

"...think of me fondly when we've said goodbye..." A soft, melodic voice sang, the notes floating out from the crack between a pair of doors that led into the youngest mistress' room. Rossella was up and about, even before the maids had come to get her. She had changed into a pretty kimono top and a nice skirt, and was sat down at her desk, brushing out her hair when her room door was opened. She stopped singing at the end of the phrase and turned her head, smiling to the woman that stood in her doorway. She reached a hand across her desk for a flower pin and clipped up her hair with it before getting up and practically gliding over to the woman to throw her arms around her.

"Buon giorno Mama." the girl greeted. Her mother smiled in return and smoothed a few strands of flyaway hair down for her daughter. They exchanged words in rapid Italian as they made their way down the halls and then the main staircase, heading for the dining room where Rossella's father would be waiting, and possibly her older sister as well. After a pleasant breakfast, Rossella would bid her family members a nice day before heading out for her college, acting class the first thing on her schedule for that morning.

Rossella loved it, putting on different personas and making them her own. She didn't really care much for the attention, but if that's what came with excelling in her area of study, then she would take it with grace, as her parents and siblings had taught her. It was during a break in class did one of her classmates cling to her, babbling about a new chat website. Rossella wasn't one for using chat sites, but her friend was insistent, saying it was actually a really safe site and the people on there were always interesting. Laughing, Rossella promised to set up an account. After her friend had wandered off to talk with some other girls, Rossella pulled out her phone and navigated to the site. Wallflower... she entered the necessary information and was surprised to find that there were already a few messages waiting for her to read.

SweetAddiction has entered:

With a few minutes left of the break, she quickly typed in a greeting of her own.

~Shirogane Harumi~

The cafe was silent as usual in the mornings. Unlocking the door, the owner and manager of the place Shirogane Harumi stepped inside. It was a beautiful and quiet little place, though it seemed to get a lot of hubbub. His eyes drifted around, nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. Moving further inside, he flipped on the lights and began to open the curtains. Bright and warm morning sunlight filled the room, causing him to smile softly. He needed to get things set up for when his staff came in and soon enough the costomers. He moved to his office in the back, placing his bag on his desk.

He slipped out his phone, looking at it. A site was pulled up, one of his staff had sent him the night before. He had glanced at it, but taken little intrest in it since there had seemed to be no one around. Now however, four names were able to be read, and a few posts had already been made. He was slightly more intrigued now, especially with seeing the name BookWorm on the screen. It was a title he and his brother used to tease about at times when they would talk, it made memories flood back into his head. For a moment he was unsure, but slowly he moved to the sign up area. A name hmm....He wondered what to place in this area. A beautiful purple, blue and yellow flower on his desk caught his attention, making him smile once more.

Iris has entered

A beautiful flower, but strong and mysterious as well. It was suitable for now. He thought of a propper greeting, what would one say to another in situations like this?

Iris: Bonjour.

A simple word, but it held greeting and the wish of good morning within. That was acceptable correct? He sat his phone down, turning to the paperwork that was on his desk as he awaited to see if there was a reply. At the same time, he needed to get some work done as well. He had an order coming in this morning, he read over the list a few times to make sure all of the things they needed were on it. He then slipped out, moving to the large kitchen behind the bar area. Non alcoholic of course...many of their guests were students. Though they did have a few...stronger menue options for those who proved to be of age. He began taking inventory, making sure everything had been cleaned up and organized the night before.

Kain rolled to his side on his bed, groaning as he felt a small weight jump on him. He had stopped using alarm clocks because of this. His younger sister, Yuri, had a habit of waking him up every morning at the exact same time. Despite her being the second youngest at age four, she was obsessed with being on time. Much unlike every other member of the family. "Get up, get up, get up!" she chanted, hoping slightly as she sat on him. Turning slowly so that she wouldn't fall, Kain grabbed her by the waist and set her beside him. "I'm up," he grunted, running a lazy hand through his hair. The small girl cheered, before skipping out of the room, obviously feeling as though she had accomplished something.

With a sigh, Kain slipped out of bed, heading over to his laptop straight away. His eyes fell onto his email logo, noticing the red number, telling him he had one email. Raising an eyebrow, he clicked the logo, opening his email, and the clicked the message. It had an unknown sender, which made Kain slightly more curious. He rarely got emails from people, so the fact that he had one was odd, but the fact that it was from an unknown sender was slightly more odd. "Wallflower, huh," he mumbled, reading the email. He clicked the link to the site, hesitating a bit before he signed up. It only required an email address, a password and a username. Simple and easy, nothing too exquisite. Despite the sign up being simple, the layout of the website was nice looking, still nothing all too fancy, but nice all the same.

GetCrazy has entered

GetCrazy: Yo. What's going on with everyone?

Not bothering to read the messages that had been posted before him, Kain closed his laptop, stuffing it in his bag, then headed out of his room. He walked over to the kitchen table, not bothering to take a seat with the rest of the family, and instead just grabbing a waffle. "I'm heading off now, need me to take the kids to school?" he asked his mom, sending her a quick look. She nodded thankfully, before looking back down at her own laptop. Kain knew how long and hard his mother worked, and today it was especially evident with her dark circles under her eyes. "Hurry up guys, or else I'll leave you," he spoke, looking over to the second oldest, Hiro, "Again." He turned around, taking the last bite of his waffle, and paused for a second, knowing that Yuri would be jumping on his back any second. As if reading his mind, the small girl flung herself onto his back, latching her arms around his neck, and her legs around his waist. He gave a small small, before heading out the door, listening to hear Hiro following him.

After dropping the two off at their school, Kain headed to his own. But instead of going to his first class of the day, he headed to the back of the school. There was a small spot at the back, hidden in-between tress. It was the place he went to the most often. He pulled out a cigarette, taking a drag of it. He really didn't feel like being at school, but he had no better place to be.

For a moment Kiero paused, seeing the name Iris pop up on the screen. That was one of his brother's favorite flowers. The french greeting was like him to, but it couldn't be... For a moment he hesitated when saying hello to someone with a name like 'GetCrazy', but he was not one to judge what others decided to have themselves called or known as. Then he decided to respond to SweetAddiction when it was said that they just had to get through the classes they didn't like. He sighed, his post was true.

It wasn't so much the classes as it was the people. There were many here who made the school day a living hell for others to get through. He felt bad for them, and tried to do what he could...but it was as others would say the 'status quo' . He shook his head, placing the last book on the shelf. Turning away, he still had time before classes, and no one really came in the library in early mornings like this. He moved to the librarian's checkout desk, slipping into the chair to wait until she returned. He sat his phone before him, to watch as the messages popped up on the screen.

He felt a bit more relaxed now that others were there, and having them not know who he was was a bit relaxing as well. He smiled slightly, maybe this wouldn't be so bad. He slipped off his glasses for a moment to clean them. It was a nice morning, a bit odd but nice. He had met new people, which he would have normally not been able to do since he was seemingly invisible to most who passed him by. Not all though, some took pleasure in teasing him as well, verging on harrasment at times, since he had been called cute and such by some of them beffore. He sighed, relationships...they made him a bit nervous.

School troubles huh? That would put this BookWorm character around high school age? Yasu didn't really know, nor did he actually care to know. His mind just liked pulling up conclusions for things at random times. He yawned again as he slowly dragged his mouse across his large mouse-pad, tracing over his pencil work. The site seemed to be getting a fair amount of activity, pretty good for a new site. A curve was added to his drawing. Getting conversations started was always slow going though, especially if people were in classes and such. A notification popped up on his screen, interrupting his line-work, followed by a message box. He waited for the notification to fade as his eyes skimmed over the message.

Clicking in the reply box, Yasu quickly typed in an affirmative to the invitation to a game. After seriously gaming all night, it would be a nice break to play a couple rounds of Murder and voice-chatting with a couple people. He had to make a note to change his handle for the game though, didn't want people to recognize him through that since he had no doubt that his gaming buddy had invited some other people to play as well. He clicked back to the Wallflower tab and typed a message out before switching his status to away. He could read messages later, he had a whole day's worth of time anyway.

Accepting the invitation to a skype call, he started up his game, waiting for the server information to be sent, and taking that time to change his handle into something ridiculous.

Ah, bullying. What student didn't experience that in one form or another? Rossella smiled sadly at her phone after she had responded. Her friend wasn't lying that the site was nice, she wasn't so sure about the people quite yet, but they seemed friendly enough. Her eyes darted to the time, she would have to keep checking to make sure she put her phone away before class started up again. Noting how much time she had left, she tucked her feet neatly under her as she sank down to sit on the floor.

Personally, she hadn't really been bullied, though she'd seen others being bullied. She stood up for the ones that she could, but sometimes even she couldn't talk a bully down in high school. Her older siblings did protect her a lot from those situations though...not everyone had that kind of privilege. It was...sad that things like that happened to people.

For a moment, he felt unsure if he had been the cause of the other leaving. Sending SweetAddiction a whispered message though helped a bit. He was curious though about the site. Who made it, and what did they make it for? He leaned back in his seat a bit, looking at the clock. He still had a bit of time before the bell rang so that was good. He logged onto the computer, deciding to do a little reaserch. It seemed the site was still fairly new, that there wasn't much online about it.

There were rumors floating around and a bit of hub, but nothing one coul take as concrete. He heard the growing noise outside, many of the other students were begining to arrive. That was good, it ment the day was getting off to its start. He wondered if anyone would pop in, though he doubted it. He picked up his phone once more, noticing that it seemed Iris had returned. A smile formed on his lips a bit, that name reminded him of his brother a lot. He slightly swivveled in the seat, relaxing a bit as he casually chatted with the others inside.

Everything seemed to be in order, the kitchen ready to be opened. As if on cue, the staff began to arrive. He smiled, greeting them all. He then turned and stepped out back to his office, glancing at his phone as he did. It seemed that there were plenty of answers since he had been gone. The conversation had turned to troubles within school and he sighed. He knew his own brother had trouble with people from his school. He wished he could be there to protect him, but he could not hover over the boy.

He sat down in his seat, looking at the door as he noticed a truck pull up. It seemed the order was there. He would have to oversee it soon. He typed a reply, checking phone messages before he slipped out to the main floor. The staff helping to unload and sort the order. He signed for it, thanking the man for his assistant. He was asked if he would be helping with the floor today or the kitchen, deciding in the end to be doing a bit of both. He was an amazing chef he was told, as well as in a sense the face of the cafe. People loved him, weather it be his food or his being on the floor.

Brendan Malfayn - The Bully

The shock of the blow sent stars across his vision. Brendan shoved the large man away, reaching up to touch his lip. The blood on his fingertips signaled the beginning of a very swollen and bruised lip. Someone was crying. The room smelled of liquor. It was too early in the morning for this.

"Get the f*** out of the way!" The man of the house, Mark Malfayn, was red in the face as he yelled. The noise nearly shook the windows of the small apartment. The sound of sobbing grew louder.

"Keep at it, and they'll call the cops." Trying to ignore the pain of talking, Brendan kept himself between his drunk father and his cowering mother. "You know they will." Their neighbors had done it plenty of times.

"Move, boy!" The nearest object, a ceramic lamp, smashed into the wall beside them. A squeak followed the sobbing.

Brendan held his place, his rage building. If the cops were called again, they would actually interfere. If they got involved now, then everything would change. Mr. Malfayn might be taken to prison, but that also meant that his mother would likely be taken from him as well. He couldn't stand that thought. In the face of uncertainty, Brendan chose to stay silent. "If you calm down now, nothing will happen." If his father didn't calm down, however, Brendan knew he'd lose it. He would lose control, and attack the drunkard. Not that he didn't deserve it, but he didn't need another black mark on his record. He had far too many.

The man lifted a half-empty bottle to his lips, growling about boys and their need to one-up their fathers. Brendan kept silent, glaring at the drunk until he finally shouted a few obscenities and headed for the TV. He yelled at his wife, Laura, to bring him something to eat. Brendan looked down to his mother as she stood, wiping tears from her face and hurrying into the kitchen. He followed, a sick feeling in his stomach. How often had this happened? At least they knew that Mark Malfayn would be out cold in about an hour, and out of commission for the rest of the day.

"I have to get to school," Brendan said, touching his tender lip again. Already, it was swollen and an angry purple. Perfect. Now it looked like he'd gotten into a fight before class again. Reaching for his mother's arm, he pulled her to him for a hug. The delicate woman was already recovering, and sniffed before wishing him a good day in class. Brendan left the house with a sack lunch, trying to push the morning out of mind as he walked the few blocks to the local high school.

For once, he'd be on time that morning. As he navigated the halls, Brendan tried to ignore the hurried glances and mutters as he passed. He even managed to give one student a shove into their locker that sent laughter springing up behind him.

Sitting in the correct class, Brendan pulled out his phone. His mother had bought it for him for Christmas. A precious gift, considering most of their funds went toward keeping the man of the house drunk. After surfing around on the device for a while, Brendan grew bored. He didn't have much going on when it came to friends or social networks. Honestly, he should change that.

With a sigh, he opened the link in his inbox. The address was from one of the kids he'd met years prior. Good guy. He'd left school already. Probably dropped out. Brendan submitted his information, using his long-time nickname: Dante.

Quote:
Dante67 has entered.
Scanning the other usernames, he frowned. Immediately, his gaze caught on one of the messages. Iris had mentioned witnessing innocent people go through struggle. Hah. Of course.

Quote:
Dante67: What if the people suffering aren't so innocent?
There was a moment before Brendan scowled. What a great first impression.

Quote:
Dante67: Not that BookWorm deserves being stuck with douche people. Sorry. Not what I was implying.

The game had been going fine, Yasu had been assigned the murderer once and the armed bystander twice already, but it was during one of the rounds as an innocent did one of the people he didn't know recognize his voice. It became a big deal where he couldn't even focus on the game anymore. With a scowl, the teal-haired man relented and messaged an apology to his friend before dropping from the game. What a pain...he should invest in a voice disguiser or something.

That is to say he didn't dislike playing with random people, most were actually really decent, it's just when they make it so that the game can't even be enjoyed anymore that irked him. Minimizing the messenger, he opened back up the Wallflower tab and reset his status, noting that somebody else had joined the chat. A lot of students it seemed...

He contemplated what to write as he read everything that had happened before shrugging and pressing a few keys. His cat awoke at that moment, stretching and accidentally digging her claws into his leg. With a slight wince, Yasu scratched her behind the ears. "Time to get you some food I believe, darling." he said, smiling at her as he stood up and scooped her up into his arms, cradling her in the crook of an elbow as he made his way over to the kitchen.

After writing about her part-time work, Rossella heard the call for attention and quickly switched out her status, slipping her phone back into her pocket. Conversation moved quickly from topic to topic, even online there were such things as topics that were too sensitive. Her mind drifted back to the chat site a few times as she ran through lines with a partner. She didn't normally get into these kinds of things online. She played a few games here and there, had an email, and a few sites for reading and stuff, but nothing that would steal her attention so often. Hmm... she could probably think on it later.

Phoenix let out a content sigh as he finished his book. Another book of poems read. Only who knew how many left. He looked around deciding he would read some more, but then he noticed the blinking messages on his computer. While he had finished up what little he had to read of the book of poems, he had missed the fact that people were talking in Wallflower. He hadn't expected so many to be talking at this time of day, figuring most would be in class.

He read through them, taking note of the questions they asked and things they said. After catching up he typed a reply that answered all the previous questions minus one directed at MadCat about a pet. He didn't have any of those, though he did want a bird of paradise or blue & gold macaw. Irrelevant though since a pet was the only thing his parents wouldn't give him.

He then took a notebook and pencil from his nightstand and started drawing as he waited for responses, which didn't take long. Turned out that one of them was a sophomore like him. He wondered if they too were sixteen due to a strange school. Of course he doubted it. The person was probably fifteen, or held back, or started a year late.

When they said that Phoenix was lucky to have the day off, he was surprised to find himself not truly happy about it, and almost typing why. He managed to stop himself in time, but the message made it obvious he wasn't content and was wishing for more. And now the other guy was curious. He thought for a moment, unintentionally holding the period button. Oh well he didn't care. He typed his next reply, surprised to find himself admitting how he wanted his parents to spend time with him like they did his siblings. He briefly thought that he shouldn't be talking about this, but then he thought of how they were strangers. People he would never meet and who didn't know him. It was actually perfect. The perfect chance to get things off his chest and feel better. And it worked as he sent the message, watching the screen for a reply.

After feeding the cat and rooting around in his fridge for some food, Yasu stuck a container of leftovers from last night's dinner into the microwave and headed back to his seat as the food heated up. He read through the messages, leaning back into his seat with a sigh at user Iris' message. How coincidental.

He typed up a response and hit send.

Sometimes he really wished that he could remain anonymous like he was on this site. Even if he switched his gaming tag, with the way the media handled things, and some of his fans, it wouldn't be long before people would know it was him again. It wasn't like it was entirely a bad thing, but sometimes...it really was a bit much.

He got up once more when he heard the microwave go off and retrieved his food, grabbing a pair of chopsticks from the drying rack as he passed it. He paused to check his cat's water dish before remembering that he hadn't answered BookWorm's question about him having pets... well, the user had gone on away so he supposed it didn't matter anymore. Food in hand, he sat back down and spun a bit in his chair, waiting for another response.

Kain opened his eyes, looking up at the sky realizing that he had dozed off a bit. Not unusual, seeing as he was the type of person who liked to sleep in until after noon. He looked to the side to see that his cigarette was laying on the ground, put out completely. With a sigh, Kain stood up, lighting up another cigarette. It was a bad habit, but he couldn't help it. And he would be lying if he said that he wanted to quit. Cigarette in mouth, Kain slipped out his phone once more, surprised to find that people had been talking so much. Then again, he had been asleep for a while, and people were bound to talk.

He typed in a quick greeting, before making his way out of the trees. He quickly made his way out of the school, making sure that no one saw him. Teachers had stopped caring wether or not he showed up for class, so the office always assumed that he was in class. As long as no one saw him sneaking out, the office would never find out, which lead to his mother never finding out. Sometimes he spent the whole day, just because he knew that it would make his mom happy, but most of the time he skipped out. Even if he did have plans to go to second period earlier in the day, now all he wanted to do was leave.

"I'll just walk around for a bit," he muttered, sticking a hand in his pocket and looking around the streets. In ten minutes, Kain was already a few blocks away from the school.

Long pink hair draped over the young woman's head much like a waterfall as it even fell over the edge of the desk that she had dozed off at. Bianca had been working a night shift at the museum, though she was security. The local natural history museum was busy recataloging many of their artifacts, not to mention remodeling different parts for new exhibits. The young member of the committee had been asked to work extra hours to help set up exhibits once the builders were done; with her father's history in anthropology and the books he had written, the museum practically jumped at the request of hiring the male's daughter when he personally called to ask about a job for her.

A buzzing sound reverberated off the front desk stirring the girl from her slumber. Bianca lifted her head lazily, her arm disappearing beneath her hair to rub the sleep out of her eyes before lifting it up to get the long strands out of her face with them falling messily to the sides. The woman looked at her phone, a little light flashing indicating that she had a new email. Rather than checking it on her phone, she grabbed the tablet that sat beside it and woke it up. Looking at the email with a yawn, she didn't reconize the sender but decided to risk a look at the contents. Upon travelling to the site, Bianca was met with a nicely designed chat site. Pondering what was before her, she settled on making an account; with how busy the museum had her the last few months her socializing had amounted to none so interacting with people besides those that visited her place of employment would have been nice.

Filling out the application, Bianca had to settle on a shorter username than she had normally used, but people had ended up calling her than anyway. Leaning back in her rolly chair, she placed her feet on the desk as it would have been at least another couple of hours until the museum actually opened. With the tablet on her lap she watched as the chat room labeled 'Wallflower' came into view and it seemed to be quite lively.

Zinbhe logged on.

Zinbhe: Hello everyone!

It was but a simple greeting, but it was enough to get herself at least 'attempting' to get along with more people. That would be a partial joke though as Bianca was convinced that she could befriend anyone and everyone, even if reality wanted to tell her otherwise. The woman let out another yawn, this time having to wipe the tears from the corners of her eyes. "I'll have to stop by the cafe that was nearby; it was located closer to the local schools than it was to the natural history museum, but Bianca was partial to their menu and would often chat with the purple eyed male that worked there; she enjoyed bouncing ideas off of him for different exhibit ideas that were on the table to be put on display next.

A small smile played the woman's lips as she thought about said discussions as well as the warm beverage she would be ordering not long later that would wake her up enough to go home and watch her siblings for a bit. A little noise came from the tablet that took the woman's attention away yet again as she saw that there was a reply. With yet a larger grin she replied to the person named 'White_Ashes':

Zinbhe: Thank you, thank you White_Ashes ^.^

Not to go too off topic, but how is everyone today?

Kiero chatted a bit more, losing slight track of time. He takes a breath as he noticed the bell ring, typing a quick goodbye, before he grabbed his bag. The librarian coming back in the door, said goodbye to him as well as thanks, and he was on his way. His first class was history, one of his best subjects since many of the dates and the events were in many books. He takes a breath, pulling out his textbook as he glanced out the window. He was slightly thinking about the one named white_ashes had said. It was true, the two of them were not so different, though he did not feel comfortable talking about that right now with anyone.

He wondered what they were saying now, that he was in here, in class. He looked over to the teacher, the man strict and ridgid, demanding attention and focus. He began taking notes, his penmanship was excellent as was one who was a bookworm, for he himself dabbled a bit in writing as well. He loved stories, they could let you be anyone, and go anywhere. He smiled a bitt thinking about it, when he was suddenly asked to read the next section out loud. He blushed a bit, everyone looking at him now he took a breath and slowly stood as was required. This was so embarassing, he could hear a few snickers behind him. Many were just waiting for him to faulter or fail. He did his best.

The order away, things were slowly beginning to pick up. He watched as the one called BookWorm left, so he allowed himself to become more vocal. The conversation at the moment seemed to keep slipping to a more intense area. The question of their truthfulness came up as he figured it would be eventually. He felt a twinge of annoyance when the other brought up the accusation that he could be lying surfaced. He took a breath, brushing it off as he replied. It was true, any of them could be lying.

He really did not care if they believed him or not, though he had said nothing about himself enough to doubt or wonder about. He wasn't comfortable opening up so soon with people he had just met. He watched as a few people came in, he greeted them, the pair asking immediatly if he would come to sit with them and talk. He politely declined, saying he needed to get some work done. He headed back into his office, typing a slight hello to the new being who had entered the room in the process.

Having finished his food, Yasu spent a couple more minutes in the chatroom before exiting out. He'd get the app for it on his phone later or something. He stretched and popped his shoulders, letting out a sigh of relief. He gathered up the dirty container and chopsticks and left them in the sink, filling the container with water. He'd clean up later.

Stopping briefly to pet his cat once more, he continued on into his room to get some clothes to change into after taking a quick shower. He chose to slick his hair to the side after blow-drying it, keeping the long teal-colored strands from falling straight into his face like it normally did on his lazy days. He dressed nicely in a v-neck shirt and a pair of slim dark wash jeans, his wallet and keys were slipped into his pocket as he stepped out. His cellphone and mp3 were slipped into the other pocket, he donned a biker jacket, and he slipped on a pair of black boots, lacing them up quickly. He headed down the few steps from his front door and turned into his garage, grabbing a helmet and slipping it on. He smiled serenely at the motorcycle that gleamed in the dim lighting and wheeled it out.

It didn't take him long before he was pulling into a spot right outside his favorite cafe. He hummed to himself as he got off from his bike and slid off the helmet. Running fingers through his hair, he popped the seat up and left the jacket there before heading inside.

Sitting his phone down, he sighed slightly and stood up. There were more people coming in now, so he figured he would give them some help on the floor. He stepped out to a pair of females who were regulars. They blushed a bit as he approached, slipping a pad and pen out of his pocket. "Bienvenue au café, puis-je prendre votre commande?" he said, a familiar french greeting the customers were used to from him. It basically stated welcom to the cafe, then asked if he could take their order. The girls giggled, giving their order to him, one of them in a rather flirty way winking at him as she usually did after she was done.

He smiled, giving a slight bow before he turned and delivered it to the bar where it would be addressed. This was around the time that another usual pulled up on his bike, stepping into the cafe not long after. He walked over to him, "not surprising to see you this morning" he said a bit playfully. He knew most of the usuals by name, though even if they did not always get seriously chatty, he was polite with them as he was with all of them. "What would you like this morning?" he asked, ready to take his order when he was.

His mind for a moment being drawn back to thr room this morning. Ironic, from what he knew the man before him was a gamer, into the technical buisiness. And one of the beings he had been speaking with before said they were a gamer as well. Many things were apparently reminding him of those he was familiar with in life. The sight of the females from the other table staring caused him to come back to reality.

He was often told he got a certain look to him when he was lost in thought or daydreaming, one that people could not help but to stare at or blush for. He had a job to do now, a chat room could wait until later. Many looked up to him as a buisinessman though as well. Most managers and owners did not waste their time helping out on the main floor or in the kitchen. He was rather more hands on and a hard worker, not minding it at all. He prefered it really, to being stuck in an office all day.
