*Life As We Knew It*

The world has gone to hell, the earth cracked in the nuclear fall out, those who survive did so by being ruthless and unforgiving. There is always a chance of redemption though, moments before the earth took its dark descent, many creatures were revealed, mythical beings, and prophecies arose.
One told of the pure and untainted being, with no memories yet powers untold of. She would hold the key to regaining life to planet, but where would she be without her noble knight to guide her. Dark forces at work will do anything to stop their quest, not to mention in the time and circumstances people don't trust easily. Gaining the trust to restore peace will only be one of small obstacles.

It was cold and she was alone, to say there was nothing in her world was a lie, her world was full. Her mind was full; she felt broken and was surrounded by broken items. She couldn’t move from the sight, it had her riveted to the spot. She had been walking when the sign had fallen, landing at her feet the metal crashing kicking up dirt and dust covering her in the small particles. She didn’t understand it; it was so foreign so wrong. Everything was new to her; her memory had been slowly fading since she had woken up, the faded words of the room making her wonder who she really was. She didn’t want to forget. She wanted to remember the warm embrace of her mother who had protected her with her body and magic through the last of the blasts, before turning in to ash and dispersing in to the wind.

She wasn’t human, that was how she had survived the fall out. It had damaged the white garments she wore though, leaving them floating around her as she walked like some ghost through the ruins. As the last of her energy and memories left her she collapsed to the ground.

Demetri Spyke walked along the edge of a high building, half of it was blown to bits but the part he was walking on seemed sturdy enough. His attention was on food. Where would he find any? He preferred hunting in his were-form but he'd seen to many people scattered about to even dare try it. He was hungry but he by no means was going to risk the lives of innocent humans. It was then something else caught his gaze, a white garment that seemed to float by itself in a white mass far down the road. "What the. . . ." he cupped his eyes with his hands, trying to block out the dying sunlight. "Who. . . " he jumped from stairwell edge to stairwell edge quickly, inhumanly. He was elegant with each movement, lithe and beautiful. He reached the, it seemed to be a girl just as she fell. He let her fall, not knowing if she would harm him or not yet. "Uhm. . .Hello?" he sniffed the air, the scent was foreign to his nose. "Are you okay, Miss?" he poked her shoulder gently.

((So sorry it too so long, I was away from the online universe for awhile XD))

When he touched her shoulder her body shook before she moved forward looking back at him, her eyes studying him. Tears streaming down them before she pushed herself up from her hands and knees to be standing, everything about her showed she was scared and obviously confused. She could tell something was off about him. She sighed softly before speaking, from where she had fallen she had cut her leg and the blood trickled down un-noticed. “I don’t know…” she uttered before looking down the road, her clothes billowing in the wind once more, she really did look more like a spirit with her wide eyed innocence and pale skin. If it wasn’t for the dust that had started clinging to her, causing her to be speckled with black dots, it would be easy to believe she wasn’t even real.
