I tried to do one of those foot peeling masks but sadly my feet did not really peel. My boyfriend's did though!

I really need to go for another manicure, my gel polish is starting to peel off, but I have a couple of hangnails that need healing up first...

I have had two manicures in my ilfe.

I was going to get just regular polish for my fingers but the manicurist convinced me to go with gel again. So yeah, now I have hot pink fingernails and toes.

I might try gel nails. I hear they last longer. Though I'd still be afraid of breaking them.

Gel nails last about 3 weeks. They don't really chip off like regular polish but more start to peel up at the edges. It's not good to peel it when it starts to come off though because it'll peel your nail a bit too. You either have to go back to the salon to get it taken off or you need to file off the shiny coating and soak them in nail polish remover on cotton balls and wrapped around your fingers with tinfoil for about 15 minutes and then push off the remaining bits with a cuticle pusher. Because the gel is so hard it tends to reinforce your nails a little bit while you're wearing it as long as they aren't super long. I went with an almond shape because my nails had grown out pretty long but after a day or so I noticed they felt a little weak from the length and I was afraid of them breaking so I filed them down to a shorter oval.

That's true, you could always get a manicure without doing color or just get a clear coat to make them nice and shiny.

Bleh, I picked at the side of my finger and ended up with yet another skin infection.

Yes, not fun. The pain radiates all the way up my arm. I hope I can get it healed up soon.

Sadly it is not doing much better. I had 4 leftover pills from my last antibiotic treatment so I'm putting those in my system the next 4 days and will see if that helps. If not, I'll probably have to go back to the doctor.

I ended up having to to to the doctor for antibiotics but it's getting there. It'll probably take another 2 weeks to heal but it's not quite as painful and inflamed anymore.

Thanks! It's almost completely healed now. There's still a little red bump but otherwise pretty much better.

I had to cut my fingernails down to little nubbins because they're weak and breaking. *sad face*
