Dominant
by Amy
Oh Dominant, Dominant
Wherefore art thou Dominant?
Deny thy doubt and refuse thy fears;
If thou wilt not but demand my submission,
And I'll no sooner assume thy collar.
'Tis but thy hesitation that is thine enemy:
Thou art protector, not abuser.
Where's the abuse?
It is not in your hand nor foot,
Nor arm nor face,
Nor any other part belonging to your being.
O be not afraid of thy title: Dominant!
What's in a title?
That which we call a mate
By any other title would feel just as warm;
So Dominant would,
Were thy not Dominant call'd,
Retain that dear respect which thy is owed without such a title.
Dominant,
If thou would,
Embrace thy title,
Which is a part of thee,
And take all myself
As your Submissive!
