Iunno. Even if I did have children, I wouldn't depend on them to take care of me when I'm old. If you have a child, then you're responsible for its survival, regardless of whether it wants to return the favor or not. No strings attached. After that, the kid becomes his or her own person. Sure ain't obligated to be good to you if it develops other priorities, such as itself.

@ Pimmy - I don't think you can really "train" a child. You can teach it not to crap in the streets, but I don't think its worth dumping so many resources on them so that you create a human that, aside from not crapping in the streets, may or may not grow up to give a fuck about you.
