Well, it's similar in that you can write stories (people can even view them if you want), it will track your told word count but not per chapter like novlr.
You can visit my tablo page and read parts of my past books by clicking the little blue book in my menewsha signiture. :)

Huh, cute. I'm not so big on sharing my stories (at least, my original stories) online just because what if I actually finish it and want to publish traditionally?

Right now fast pencil as a thing where if you create/and write a new project (story) on their site and publish by the end of the year they will give you a copy of it free.
I mostly plan on turning my books into ebooks (self-publishing and all that) but you could still publish traditionally, you retain all rights to your work and such. I've only shared part of my story from 2013 on tablo (about half of it) because I'm trying to build readers and stuff I want to draw people in enough that their interested but still have surprises/parts they haven't read when I publish say on amazon or something.
On most if not all sites you can write them privately you don't have to make them public.

Nah, its not too bad. It can store images, your chapters etc and you can have all of it on the screen at once to reference as you write. You can even import music, change the colors/theme of it for each story. I really like it. I can make suit the mood of what I'm writing.

lol xD I need things to motivate me. I use the avatar creator on menewsha for example to show what my characters look like, in 2013 I did that then put the images into Liquid story binder and kept them up while I was writing.

There seem to be a lot of programs and websites specifically designed to write novels. I once looked into one called yWriter but then I never ended up using it.

this thing sounds so awesome but I could never mess with it for nanoing because I would also be super distracted by setting it up.
But I often change my computer wall paper or put images open in the corners of the screen for inspiration. I have nothing to suit this story yet though. No artsies....
And it is 12:30 and I still have 600 words to write. Damn how late I work.
