Greydanse was a large city where motion never stopped. Cars, people, birds, and many other things created a sound of their own that made the city seem to literally buzz with life. This throbbing noise of the city was an insignificant detail to the inhabitants of Greydanse. They'd long since gotten used to the sounds echoing all night long. There was no escaping the noises, and that was perfectly fine. To most, the noise was actually a comfort, gently whispering to them that they were never alone in this large place.

In the center of this bustling city, lied a small apartment, more like a palace than a housing system, though. The Gonrei Apartment Complex rose up from the cement paved ground like a steel soldier, braving all sorts of weather to defend those inside. 20 stories high, the Gonrei was truely a magnificent place, large glass windows on each story, shimmering in the bright sunlight, as if to proclaim its glory to all of the meeker buildings below it.

The Gonrei sported a dining hall on the first floor, as well as an exercise room, a spa, a sauna, a bar and a swimming pool, complete with diving board and a hot tub! The second through twentieth stories housed the occupants of the building. Around the sides of the Gonrei, a man named Clayton took it upon himself to keep the lawns and gardens of the apartment complex absolutely spotless.

Apartment Rules:

• Animals are allowed as long as the owners do not let them roam freely. They are the owners’ responsibility, not the staff.
• Treat our staffs right. They are also human and they deserve the respect much like the occupants.
• If you have any problems with plumbing or the electricity, head straight to the front desk. We’ll have it solved in a jiffy.
• The fire alarm is to not be used at all cost unless there is an actual fire. Keep your children away from the fire alarms. In the advent of a fire and should the fire alarm be pulled, sprinklers from above will be activated. We are not held liable for any damages.
• In every room, there is a ‘how-to’ posted in case of earthquakes or fires. Please educate yourselves.
• Do NOT lose your key cards. If you do, we are not held responsible for anything you may or may not lose in the process. Please report this immediately to the front desk.
• Our facilities are free to use. They will be closed at ten o’clock in the evening but the bar will be open 24/7 to accommodate our residents. The restaurant's opened from 6AM to 3AM.
• If you are going to transfer, please head to the front desk and tell us a month ahead so we can process your papers.
• Every floor has 4 rooms and only the first ten floors are accessible. The other rooms are still under construction. Please bear with us.
• All room numbers are labeled in Capital letters of the Roman Numerals. A doorbell is put beside the door for a reason. Please use them wisely.
• CCTVs catch everything you do in the hallway. Please do any private things to do in your rooms. Thank you.

It's nearing Christmas!
A party is being held in the 1st floor and all residents are invited to help with the designs and are urged to mingle with their neighbors.

This is the program for the Christmas event:

1. 9:00 - Start of the party; dinner
2. 10:00 - Gift-giving event from Matthias himself to the tenants as a thank you
3. 11:00 - Wine-drinking and countdown to welcome the Christmas day
4. 12:00 - Fireworks display for 30 minutes

Events
So far in the story...

>> There's commotion on the first floor. Decorations for the Christmas tree and the party are everywhere. The party will push through despite the heavy rain.

>> Sage wasn't looking where he was stepping and hit Alice, who in turn got wounded. Sage offered Alice a change of clothes and to treat the wound. They're both in Sage's room.

>> Matt, Justice, Damian and Gabriel were putting up the designs. Damian finished and is heading back to his room.

>> Claus and Justin are talking in the lobby.

>> Nei, Paris' lizard, destroyed the dessert and the cake. Claus is on the table, afraid of lizards.

>> Sage and Alice are now in Alice's room.

>> Eroke has joined everyone in the lobby, so did Sage and Alice. Matt's busy as hell and Romero, Matt's secretary, came to give Matt even more to do.

>> Justice suggested a walk but because of the rain, he thought of inviting Eroke and Claus up to his room for tea instead. Eroke also introduced his bulldog, Kenny.

>> Matt was looking for help to get the food in time for the party and for someone to summarize the papers that need his signing. Alice and Sage came in time with Sage volunteering for the papers and Alice being asked by Matt if he could get the food. Sho came to volunteer to get the food as well.

>> Sage and Matt headed to Matt's place to get more paperworks done.

>> Sho and Alice went to get the food with the big truck of Matt's.

>> Alice got sick. Rio drove the both of them back to the complex so he could set up the food after sending Alice to his room. Matt went down to see if the food's arrived.

>> Van and his son, Tai, arrived to get their papers and keycard. They were invited for the party and they went up to their room to settle down.

>> Johnny, Rio and Matt are preparing the buffet. Sho and Alice are in Alice's room with Sho getting Alice tucked in bed after drinking some medicine for his fever.

>> Sho went back to the lobby and met up with Rio. They returned to the parking lot to get the remaining boxes. Todd arrived and is now heading up to his room.

>> Johnny approached the father and son, Van and Tai, and the two volunteered to help with the Christmas tree. Gabriel is baking cake in his room, Jake went downstairs to the lobby, Matt and Sage are both in Matt's room, Beyond's somewhere without his seeing dog, Max, and Alice is resting in his room.

Matthias' Secretary Johnny Romero

He handles everything that Matthias may or may not need for his job. Usually, too, he'd be seen with that killer smile of his that would have people swoon the moment they would lay their eyes on it. He's easy-going, friendly and definitely sociable; he'll try not to get on anyone's bad side but if he sees someone hurting another for no reason - be it animal or human, he'll do something about it. At least, he'd try in his power to do so.

The One who can Cook, Rio DeGrande

It's pretty strange how a big guy like him can be such a great cook. He's one of the few that Matthias can trust with the food and perhaps the only one he'd rather make his hot chocolate - other than him making it that is. He owns a shop downtown, which is often flooded should there be a strong rain, and he offers all kinds of delectable food and pastries. One taste of his food and your mouth would be watering for more. Oh, and he purposely keeps himself dirty-looking because he can't see what the purpose is of cleaning up when he'd be spending most of his time in the kitchen.

Cold and wet, Alice entered the lobby from the front door. He was only shivering a little, it had been stupid, he knew that and he'd probably get sick from it but he didn't care. He had been outside in the rain for hours, walking through the park, without a coat. Wearing his favorite outfit of a black tank top that didn't even cover his stomach, and a black sleeveless vest that was maybe half an inch longer than the tank top. A few red ribbons were wound around his exposed midriff, a spiked armband on his upper arm and both arms were covered, from wrist to elbow, by leather arm bracers..the kind you might get from a gothic clothing store.

His pants hung low on his hips, two belts crisscrossed in the front and back. On his feet were thick soled black boots that fastened with straps and laces, the boots, though hidden by his pants legs, reached up to his knees. His white hair dripped water, and his dull blue, nearly grey eyes swept over the mess that was the lobby. Decorations and people were everywhere. Alice shivered. He had no intention of participating in the party or being near this large crowd. Now..if only he could make his way to the elevator without tripping over anything or bumping into someone.

Gabriel stood on the only ladder that was easily found. In his hand was a corner of the Christmas banner that hung in the same place every year, saying "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" to all the residents. The boy reached up to tie the thing to the ceiling. It was tricky trying to get the banner to stay up when one is not used to having his arms up in the air like they are now. he sighed after a minute passed and made a more determined face than before, smiling when he got the banner tied up. Gabriel relaxed and looked at the finished product with a huge smile. Then he proceeded to climb down the ladder slowly and brushed his hands on his shirt after being safely on the floor. The boy's clothes weren't all that flattering, but he wasn't trying to impress anyone (at the moment anyways). he was wearing an older looking shirt that showed his stomach every time he lifted an arm up. his jeans had holes in the knees and his hair was currently in a messy pony-tail.

Damian sat up in his room. He knew that there was going to be a party tonight, but he wasn't sure yet if he was going to go. He didn't really get along well with other people. Plus, parties were really loud. Though he figured he could at least help set up. With that in mind, he rolled out of bed and pulled on a black hoodie. He headed out, making sure his door was locked, and headed downstairs. He looked around once he got to the right room. When he saw somebody, he headed over to him. "Hey... Need any help?" he asked.

Sage sighed as he ran his fingers through his messy hair, tapping his foot impatiently for the lift to arrive. Sure, it was only a couple of flights walk downstairs, but today he really had no will power to refuse the lift and take the healthier option. As the dinging sound finally announced the arrival of the lift, he slipped through the parting doors and quickly pressed the button, leaning against the wall as he felt the little box descending.

Unlike a lot of people, Sage had officially gone on holiday. It was one of the best benefits of working in a school, getting the same length of holiday time as the kids. It made up for the bad pay, long hours and at time very annoying kids. Chuckling softly to himself, he stepped out of the elevator. Sage had offered to help with the decorations since he was off work until the next term started. He brushed down his black jacket and open collared shirt before walking into the hall. As Sage glanced around at the decorations already set up, he wasn’t looking where he was going. So it was no surprise that he ended up stumbling back after crashing into another body.

Turning round quickly, he stared wide eyed in surprise at the white haired man who was wearing a top that didn’t even reach his stomach, and looked very wet. “I’m sorry! I didn’t see you there, are you alright?” Pausing a moment, Sage actually registered the fact the other was wet and grimaced a little. “I take it you got caught out in the rain right? You must have been out there for ages to get so wet though”

Alice hadn't been paying much attention either, or else he would have stepped out of the way of the oncoming person. Something shiny had caught his eye and he had been looking at some weird decoration someone had hung up not to far away. As it was, he hadn't been looking and thus was bumped into..which would have been fine..but Alice's shoes were wet, and as he stepped back to keep his footing, his feet slipped right out from under him. He hit the floor with a nice sound, smacking his right elbow on it in the process and jarring his entire forearm. A low grunt had left his lips.

For a moment, Alice didn't move. He laid there, propped up on one elbow, an elbow he was sure would be bruised in moments, and glared at the man that had run into him. His glare fell rather quickly though and Alice shrugged slightly as he began to get to his feet. "S'alright..I'm fine." He was on his feet now, curling and uncurling that arm a bit as he rubbed his elbow some. "...I was in the park. It's not crowded when it rains, so its the best time to be there." Rather quickly he turned his head and raised his hands to his face. Letting out a soft sneeze into his hands. He turned back to the man, wiping his hands on his own pants for a moment. He shifted a bit on his feet, uncertain of what to do or say next.

Justice had been wandering home from the part time job he had aside of being a full time student. He worked as a barista at a local club, one that was favorited by many. Surely with the time of the year and the upcoming party at the appartment complex, he made sure not to work an evening or night shift, and by day the club would be rather quiet. He looked up at the sky from under his umbrella, running a hand through his hair as he sighed. If only the weather would clear up. Perhaps then I would feel like partying... Though it wasn't something he hated, he did hate the side effects of rain, one of them being the gloomy state of mind he would get when it rained all day long.

After shopping in a supermarket, he picked up a few cups with cat food and some with dog food, a bag of litter box fillings and a packet of 'Denta Sticks' for his pet dogs and cats. He loved their company, and he felt happy to know he could have them there. He dropped by the Starbucks that was at the corner of that street, fetching himself a Grande Signature Hot Chocolate, one of his favorite drinks. He could feel himself warm up from the very first sip, hoping to end up in a better mood.

When he finally returned to the complex, he shook out his umbrella, leaving it in the umbrella bin. He could tell people were still busy setting up the decorations. Not knowing weither they would need help or not, he promised himself to ask once he had set his stuff back in his room. He noticed two men talking nearby the elevator, and after letting out a soft sigh, walked over to them. He nodded at them in a polite manner."Gentlemen."He walked past them prior to entering the elevator and pressing the button for the 8th floor.

The elevator had come up to his floor first: the fourth floor. Matthias had left his iguana in his room and noted to himself to search for him and put him in his tank to have him sleep under the UV lights before he went to bed himself. Stepping in and turning around to face the doors, he tucked his thumbs into the back pockets of his pants, whistled some sort of tune and turned to look up at the light that moved along the numbers. This was something he did when he was alone inside the elevators. He would've had looked at himself in the mirrors but the dizzying thought of seeing himself after that mirror since the two were facing together would just make him want to barf.

3... 2... 1...

One of the many perks of becoming an owner of a complex and several other businesses meant he had a lot of free time. This was one of those times. The dinging sound of the elevator to announce whoever it was outside and inside that the elevator had arrived on its destined floor, which was currently the first floor. The sight of a blond carrying what looked like bags of groceries and a Starbucks' cup of hot chocolate - or so he'd assumed with the smell - made him hold the door out for him. "To what floor?" he asked as he raised his eyebrows a little. Tucking his hair behind his ear with his free hand, he waited for his reply before he'd pressed on the button and stepped out. Of course, he didn't miss out giving him his trademark gentle smile.

Matt was surprised to see two other strangers talking by the elevator doors. One seemed to be wet. Very wet. "You should go get changed," he told the said wet stranger with a nod, "There'll be hot drinks served for everyone by the time you come back. And, it'd be nice to have some help with the decorations." The man was simply dressed: a v-necked, long sleeved white shirt with the said sleeves pulled up a bit, black pants and a pair of leather slippers. There was no need for him to show off either. He was already handsome as he is so he made whatever he wore look good.

Giving Sage and Alice a smile, he went on further ahead towards what looked like a set of boxes laid out clumsily in the center, by the front desk. "What a mess," he mumbled under his breath as he took a few decorations and handed them to Damian and Gabriel who were the nearest people to him as of the moment. "You two can put them anywhere. If you need to put them on the ceiling, we can probably ask the staff. I'll take care of the mistletoes." Winking at the two, he went on to look about the first floor to see where he could put the said mistletoes he was currently holding. There were three he had to put up.

Justice nodded at the boy as he told him what floor. He thanked him kindly for holding the doors open and watched him talk to the other men as the doors closed. Yeah... Now I'm positive I'll help out. He too has been kind to me, so why not?" He could feel the elevator going up all the way to the 8th floor. Once the doors opened, he stepped out and walked towards his appartment. Switching the Starbucks coffee into the hand on the side he held the groceries with, he slipped his now free right hand into his back pocket, reaching for his key card. Surely I need to find a different spot for it when I'll pick up groceries the next time. He could hear his pitbull mix retriever called Mist bark, along side with his bulldog Rain. "Calm down, I'll be in there with you in a second." Finally being able to get the key card out, Justice opened the door, his dogs jumping up against him, barking excitedly. "Woahh guys! Hold your horses and let me put down the groceries first!"

He laughed as they followed him to the kitchen counter, where his faithful Russian blue Jinx was laying. He sat down the groceries next to him, giving the cat a a few strokes across his head. "Hey there buddy. Feel like coming along with the dogs for a walk?" It was something the cat had been doing ever since it first came into the household with two cat loving dogs. It joined them on their walks, but it was a rainy day, and this cat too didn't enjoy being out there when it was raining. It was no surprise to Justice when the cat jumped off the counter and ran into the bedroom. Grabbing the dogs' leaches, he had them sit by the door before putting the leaches on. Making sure he had his key card, he exited the room again. Thankfully he didn't have to wait on the elevator; it seemed no one had used it since he last did.

Reaching the first floor, Justice walked out with the dogs, going outside to a nearby dog park to walk them. He returned back to the appartment complex rather quick. Not wanting the dogs to smell cause of the rain, he returned after both had done their needs. "Well, let's get you two and Jinx something to eat and drink, and then I'll be helping out here." Returning to his room, Justice put the food in bowls and made sure to leave enough water, prior to going downstairs to the entrance hall again. Grabbing some window decorations from the box, he started to place them where he thought they would look good.

When the other had fallen, Sage’s eyes widened in alarm and he had moved forwards to try and help the other guy up. Luckily it seemed, he hadn’t hurt his legs because the guy stood up fairly soon afterwards. Biting his lip a little, he watched as he rubbed his elbow. “I suppose that’s true...Although it does mean you run the risk of hypothermia.” As if to make his point clear, the other man sneezed. With a grimace, he motioned for him to follow. “Come with me, I’ll check your elbow, make sure nothing’s broken or something, and we can get you dry clothes too” He offered with a light grin. “I’m guessing you live higher up so it’ll take you longer to get the dry clothes.” Sage added the second part quickly to explain his offer.

Glancing back at the hall, he frowned slightly, watching as they continued setting up the decorations. As one person went past, he nodded his head in greeting, before pausing again as yet another walked passed, this time offering some of his own advice. Sage smiled to the man before glancing to the one he had been speaking to, waiting his reply.

Alice had shrugged slightly when the man spoke of getting hypothermia, almost as if he didn't really care. "...Wasn't out there long enough for frost bite or hypothermia.." He muttered the words with a slight pout. When the man told him to come with him, Alice blinked and stared for a moment, almost warily, then he shrugged again. Though he was pretty sure his elbow wasn't broken, the man was being nice. Though, knowing his luck the man had 'free candy' painted on his front door. He shoved that stupid thought away quickly. "..Yeah...Okay.." Alice didn't sound certain though.

It would be nice to get out of this crowded area though. Too many people and to much stuff laying around to cause even bigger mishaps than just simply bumping into someone. As people passed him, he just nodded slightly and looked away, when one stopped to remark about his wet clothing, he sighed softly and muttered"..I'm going..." He watched the man go past, as his attention returned to the one offering to check his elbow and get him dry clothes.

He raised an eyebrow slightly, clearly not believing a word the other said about not getting frost bite or hypothermia. He’d worked with enough kids saying they weren’t ill only to have them throwing up in the middle of a lesson to know not to trust people when they said they were fine. When he finally agreed to it though, Sage’s eyes widened slightly as his lips split into a warm smile. “Alright, I’m on the second floor...My name’s Sage by the way, Sage Magpie” Sage added his name almost as an after thought.

Pressing the elevator button, he waited for it to arrive before stepping quickly inside, waiting for the other to walk in too before pressing the number for his floor. He was silent as they went up and brought out his card to let him into his room when the doors finally slid open. “So how long have you lived here for?” He asked curiously, opening the front door as he spoke.

It was obvious the man didn't believe him, but then, Alice didn't really care that much one way or the other. He nodded slightly when the man introduced himself, it would be rude not to give his own name now. He grimaced slightly. "...I'm Alice.." He didn't offer his last name. He didn't know this person well enough for that..and yet. Here he was following Sage into the elevator when it arrived.

As he always did when in the elevator, he glared at the walls warily. He didn't really trust the things, but it was better than walking up a million miles of stairs. He sneezed again, quickly catching it in his hands and then wiping those hands on his pants. When Sage asked how long he'd been living here, he shrugged. "A few months or so." He shifted a bit on his feet as they left the elevator and stopped in front of Sage's door so the man could open it.

Damian took the box he was handed. He nodded to what the guy said. "Alright." he opened the box and began putting the stuff up around the room. It didn't take him to long and he stepped back to admire his work. It wasn't the best, but it also could have been worse.

With that done, he looked around for a moment. That was enough helping. With that in mind, he turned and went over to the elevator. He hit the button and waited for it to return to the first floor.
