For now, you have to equip another hat item or a pet (Like the Leon and Tigra) to remove the hat.

Okay... This might be a stupid question but I'm still pretty new here so... Meh. Anyway, I kind of like just having the box? I know it's probably stupid but if I don't open it during the event will I not be able to open it at all if I change my mind later?

Nevermind... I'm stupid. I guess it already is the cake in my inventory even though it still shows as the box on my avi. I guess it'll probably disappear as soon as I change it.
