Well theres a cast iron contraption that makes bush pies. You butter it up, put bread on both halves and put a filling in the middle (usually pie filling, once I put chocolate and marshmellow, it was yummy), you lock the halves of the iron together, and put it over the fire to toast the bread. The bread adhesives together and you have a bush pie ^.^

thats odd that you've never heard of them. They are very yummy! Ever since I was a kid, even if it was just on the small movable fire pit in out backyard during summer, we always had bush pies
