Me too!! I ended up getting Modern, but I will save up to buy all of the remodel styles eventually (albeit at full price now).

I just bought a new phone recently so I've started a new game of Neko Atsume. It is the most adorable thing ever. Usually I download a new game and I play it a few times before I get bored and uninstall it again but this app is an exception. It's great <3

Also, thanks for the tip with Tubbs! I just saw him in my yard for the first time the other day and couldn't help giggling at how chubby he is ^_^

I'm also religiously saving up all my goldfish so I can buy the pretty room~

I just downloaded this this morning.. bought the obligatory red rubber ball and a couple more cheapish toys. Filled the food bowl. It's been a few hours but I haven't had any visitors yet.

How long does it take for some furrbucket to visit my fancy paper bag?

Do I just need to close the app and come back another (RL) day? I'm such a hapless newbie.

Really? Has no cat shown up at all? That's strange. Usually a lot of cats will visit so long as you still have food in the bowl. Try refilling the bowl and restarting.

Also, there's a "secret code" that spawns every day. Check the "news" section of the app and then go to the "other" section and click the button with an envelope on it. Click the secret code there and it should award you with silver fish. If you do 5 days in a row, you'll earn a can of nicer food. I didn't notice this until like a week after I started playing.

I can't get Rascal (aka Hachihai-san) to come visit me though. I've put out a lot of cardboard things and gold food, but still no such luck. I might need to buy premium food instead.

So I installed the game on my tablet, only put down the red ball and some food and waited a little bit and three cats showed up! But still nothing on my phone. So I removed some of the items I had placed in the phone yard, came back and finally it seems to be working. So strange!


Anyway, I have kitties now!

OMG Hadsie and I both got this the month it appeared in English, which was October, I think. > w< I have everything 'cept for two remodels. Need to see two more cats and take a pic of four more too. O: I've changed most of their names. X3 I love the samurai kitty! > w<

@Ferra - I think Rascal likes gold fish items, like the heat stove, kotatsu, cardboard choo-choo, and the glass vase. X3

I found out that my problem wasn't the toys, but the food. As soon as I put out a plate of sashimi, he turned up.

I tried for over a week with no visits! I'm back to using frisky bitz again and no such luck now either.

Oh well, I plan to use gold fish food again soon but for now I'm buying out everything in the shops. I've nearly purchased all of the silver fish items.

Yeah, he hasn't visited me in a while too. Maybe it is the food. o 3o

I need to get more stuff. I don't like how little space to put toys out that it feels like I have. I want to have my kotatsu AND another big item out, but that means not having enough space for other stuff.
