"Are you ok ash?" Yuki asked.

Ash was a bit miffed. "I had everything under control"

"I know you did sweety. just helping you," she said with a smile and licked him.

"Yuki, I'm supposed to protect you, and I couldn't do it"

"It's ok. They were strong. neither of us would have been able to last much with them. You're strong and don't let those dumb wolves make you think different," she said licking him again then nuzzleing him.

"Yuki's right Ash. You are a tough warrior, just like your father" Okami said.

"Now lets go back to camp and find something to eat i am starving," Yuki said.

Okami headed back to the village. Ash followed, but he still felt ashamed.

Yuki nuzzled him with a smile. "Come on i know what will cheer you up," she said with a smile heading to the oasis.

Ash was curious. He followed Yuki.

Yuki smiled then jumped into the water.

Ash jumped in after her.

Yuki smiled and went above water.

Ash dove down after her.

Yuki smiled then stoped and hugged him then pointed up.

Ash looked up.

She rolled her eyes and swam up so she could breath.

Ash swam up and looked into Yuki's eyes. "You know, we are alone"

She smiled and licked his muzzle.

Ash swam to shore and motioned for Yuki to follow.

Yuki followed him to shore.

Ash nuzzled Yuki in the moonlight.

Yuki woke up the next morning with a yawn.

Ash had his paw around her. Loud howls then echoed throughout the village, and the shadow wolves reapeared.

Yuki jumped up growling.
