The Legend Behind the Name!

It' because I really am a woodland nymph!


Ok....maybe not. Well, I was convinced rather easily to come on Mene by my good friend Linnea. After watching her play around on her laptop, I dressed up her avatar myself...then BAM I was hooked on all the shiny-pixellated goodness! So, I signed up, chose my user name, and on the very first day, in a thread she cracked a joke of a phallic natures *cough* and poof! I was forever know as Woody!

So, a little about me... I am a 20 something year old college grad with a degree in English and History. So far, that's not done a lot for me, so onward to graduate studies! I do indeed LOVE faeries and goblins, some of my favorite artists including Alan Lee, Brian and Wendy Froud, and various Pre-Raphaelite artists such as Waterhouse and Morris.

I'm huge in to folklore/tales/myths and oral tradition. If this thread wasn't Toy Storied out, it would be very Mead Hall like I think...

Random things:

• I've been doing archery in competition since middle school
• I want lines from Christina Rosetti's 'Goblin Market' as a tattoo
• I can recite way too many poems and pop culture references
• I think the haka is beyond hot (ask me what that is :drool: if you don't know)
• Played rugby at college the same time I took bellydancing classes
• Translated most of Beowulf from OE
