Writers: Ranie - Lunna Dae - Xavirne - Velvet - Rogue Darkfox - blueblackrose - saved

About 15 years or so ago there was a magic circle gathering that went wrong. No one knows why it went wrong except those who barely survived it, and those who died for it. Now a new generation is finding out they have powers and there is one missing that returns to the small town in which this all started. Being this new generation means they are the children of the witches/warlocks from back then during the accident. Now together they must figure out why no one wanted them to have these powers, why, and what happened those many years ago to most of their parents....find out soon in Magic In The Moonlight

The Magic Within

"Years from now, if all survive, it will not be hard to remember the day all of this had come together, and the end to normal lives had begun."

Morning had arrived as Amelia sat up stretching as she swung her legs to the side touching her feet to the hardware floor. She was happy she was able to get a wooden floor room now that she moved back to an old town with her Uncle Cain. She remembered her uncle saying that they would never move back to this town especially after her aunt Caroline died just recently, though he seemed to changed his mind considering Caroline died in a similar way his sister had many years ago. Cain's sister Arine (Air-rine) had died in a car crash where the vehicle had caught fire killing her. Though there was no actual proof it was her in there let alone the real way she died.

Standing up as she walked to the window of her room, she undid the hatch that locked it, and pushed her windows open slowly. It was almost spring time and she felt like she was in heaven. Spring was her favorite season "Oooh it feels so nice today" Amelia smiled closing her eyes as the cool sixty degree weather gently brushed through her hair. Everything to Amelia seemed almost magical and now today of all days seemed more magical than ever. Yet she didn't know why. Amelia was the type of person who wanted to believe in magic, but she figured it didn't exist or at least not in her family. Feeling the sun warm her body as she wore a tank top and shorts that matched a green camouflage, she turned on her heels walking to her closet opening it.

After about five minutes or so, Amelia had chosen a black, flowy skirt that went halfway down to her knees including a matching red and black velvet bodice Slipping on her knee high boots zipping them up, she finally brushed out her hair making it look tamed. After applying her eyeliner she went downstairs to the foyer grabbing her bookbag & black shoulder wrap and heading out the door ready to get this day over with. She felt out of place, it didn't look like too many people dressed the way she did, so she figured she would be considered an outcast. Why of all things, did she have to go school instead of continuing homeschooling? Her aunt may have been her teacher, but Cain could have done just as well.

The view of the little town through the bus window was not really what Azar had been wanting or expecting. When her grandmother contacted her after so many years in the system she had at first been surprised then angered by this woman who thought that she could pick up where she said they had left off when she was two. For most of her life she had thought she was alone and without family only now to find out that her grandmother had been keeping an eye on her and left her in the system? Her eyes seemed to flicker as the anger started to boil to the surface again. Looking down she sighed clinching her fist trying to put out the fire that licked at her fingertips.

She had been a fire starter since she had turned thirteen, most of the time she found that anger or fear triggered it. Her first time had been when she was running from the man that had called himself her foster father. He had not lasted long when he grabbed her and the fire busted from her skin. The cops still did not know what had happened other than a fire had ripped up that alley way and she had been found in the middle of it. Turned out that fire ate more than just her clothes that day. Now she wondered what was going to happen with her new ‘Grandmother’ if she even was related to the old woman.

As the bus pulled into the station she watched the faces looking up for their loved ones. There was no old woman, even a woman that she would have thought could be her mother. She sighed and climbed down from the bus wondering if she would be stood up in this little town. “miss Doyle?” his voice was deep and velvety. Turning she found a man dressed in a black suit that made her think of a driver.

“and you are?” her voice was cold and she could hear the anger that bubbled under the surface. Pushing her feelings down she sighed. “yes I am.

“I am mister Willems your grandmother sent me.” Holding out his hand he directed her towards the parking lot. “Did you bring any other bags?” he asked as he took her back pack. Shaking her head he nodded and lead them out to the car.

Just as the sun crested the horizon, Ercothe pulled from his bed and donned himself in a pair of running clothes. Living alone, he would have no one to prepare breakfast upon his return, but he didn't care. He needed to run. Slipping out the door, he took to the fine copper path that snaked its way into the long, flora-filled park. He weaved down paths and avoided colliding with other runners (well, joggers). The sweat started to pick up along his back and was soon rolling down his face, but Ercothe pressed on. He would hit five-miles before he called it quits and retreated home. Pressing on, he ran over a slender bridge and allowed his cyan eyes to fall on the young faces of ducks in love. Had he not looked so exhausted, he might have offered the birds a friendly smile. Finally making his mark, he pivoted on his heels and began his return run home. All in all, he was probably gone for just under and hour and he covered about 7-miles.

Panting as his hand rested on the door to his tiny cottage, Ercothe regained his composure and slowed his breathe. He needed to be in control of his body at all times. Allowing the cool air of the house to chill his body, the blond swept into the bathroom where a tub of water waited for him. Drenching his body with its pure, clear liquid, the your royal purred a sigh of relief. It felt so good to be clean.

Drying off and adding on a simple oxford shirt with a black vest with gold buttons, he ironed out his black pants before putting them on. Hair combed back and porridge ready, the man sauntered into the kitchen before offering the heavens a quick prayer. He was by no means a religious man, but he did enjoy tipping the heavens above for blessing him with food, family, and life. "Many thanks to you for gracing me with the gift of life and love. Let the wind continue to blow and the days continue to pass me by." Bowing his head before he tipped it up to eat, Ercothe felt himself truly at peace. It was great to be out of the kingdom and around the commoners. Their life was so different from his own. He wouldn't call it easy, for he was no fool, but it certainly was different.

Out the door and down the road he went. Perhaps he would check the school out? Although, with his looks, he could probably avoid it all together, as Ercothe looked to be in his mid-twenties. Eyes forward and face ready for the day, he followed the path before him, unsure where he would ultimately land.

If someone wants, you can walk to school with Ercothe~

As the sun was rising, the day was warming and the cool mist that was lazily dancing over the top of the warmer lake had began to disappear. With a comfortable dark blue one-piece suit on, Aurora stretched her muscles, awaking them and challenging them. Her long, silvery hair was tied back in a tight braid, as it always was when she would swim. Diving in, the initial chill of the water from the warming air sent chills slithering down her body, which quickly disappeared as the young girl's body adjusted to the temperature. Every morning, Aurora would get up before dawn and ready herself for the lake. She made a point to swim to the other side and back before calling it quits, and this lake was by no means small.

Aurora's home was a small and comfortable cabin nestled between the woods and the lake. She found it to be perfect and adored living so closely to water. Her aunt was the only other person that lived in the cabin, so it was usually peaceful and quiet. Though the cabin was certainly small, it offered plenty of space for the two females and the interior was rustic and quaint.

The sun had barely risen any higher as Aurora placed her hand on the old dock that marked the beginning and the end of her swim. With aching and tired muscles, the seventeen year old girl pulled herself from the water and lied back on the creaky dock, allowing the sun to warm her body and dry her skin. After a few minutes of this, she rose and slipped a simple white, cotton dress on and headed back to the cabin. She had only an hour or so before needing to head out and head to school, a school she had never been to. Aurora and her aunt had only moved back to this town a few weeks ago, but Aurora had yet to actually attend school. Her aunt wasn't a strict woman, she was just the opposite in fact, and Aurora wasn't ready to face a new school until now. After incidences in the past, the teenager was nervous around other people, but she felt is was time to face what she should have faced weeks ago. School.

Reaching the cabin, Aurora quickly showered and dried her long hair. Her lavender eyes then found the outfit she planned to wear today. Just a simple white tee-shirt with a pair of jeans and jogging shoes. She liked to keep it simple, though there was something she always wore, no matter how much it would stick out; a black ribbon around one wrist and a gold band around the other. They had belonged to her mother and were one of the few reminders she had of her. Slipped on her clothes, Aurora grabbed her plain, black, one strapped bag, said her goodbyes to her aunt, and walked out the door. Perhaps it wouldn't be so bad..

As she walked down the path towards the school, nervousness sank in and she wondered if she would make it through the day, "Ugh.." She bumped into someone as she became lost in her thoughts. Upon further investigation she noticed it was a young man, perhaps in his early twenties with light hair and stylish clothes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to run into you.."

Rylan sighed as he neared the school, he had only arrived last week and had been told he could wait until next week to start classes but he really had no reason to hold off. Glancing again at a paper he crumpled it and shoved it back into his pocket. Running a hand through his silver hair he let his eyes wander over the school, it looked like so many of the others he had been to but something seemed different he couldn't quite place it.

He had felt it the moment he arrived, it wasn't just the school or the woods he went running through the whole town felt different. He slightly remembered being little here, once in a while a sound or something he saw reminded him of being a kid before things had changed, before the first time he moved.

Shaking his head he started walking again, he hadn't noticed he had stopped. He sat on a wall just outside the school doors he still had a bit before classes were supposed to start so he sat watching as others walked past him into the school, a few slowing to glance at him though none stopped.

Dim slivers of sunlight filtered into the dark room through cracks in the curtains. A groan came from the young male who lay on the bed. The teen had never been a morning person or really much of a daytime person even when he was a youngster. He turned over and attempted to pull the covers over his head. A familiar purring sound followed by the nudge against his check stirred Lonan. He smiled a bit, halfway opening his crimson eyes. A light mew came from the white and grey cat before it licked his nose. A soft chuckle came from him. “Ok, I get it. It’s time to get up, not that I want to.” His hand stroked the cat’s head gently before he moved to get up. Sitting on the side of the bed he stretched a bit, lazily. The cat beside him doing the same.

Turning on a lamp he went about his morning routine. After getting dressed he found himself getting head butted in the shin by his feline friend. “I haven’t forgotten Loki.” Lonan made his way to the kitchen where he took out a can of tuna and gave it to the cat. A sigh escaped his lips as he looked at the time. It was already that late? He would have to hurry if he didn’t want to be late for school. The thought of school annoyed him. The only reason he really bothered going was because he made a deal with his foster ‘parents’. They would let him live on his own if he moved back here, the town he had been born in and spent the first few years of his life. The only catch was that he had to attend school without missing any days other than for being sick. If they found out he was skipping school they already had a plan for how to deal with the situation and he knew it. Oh how he hated those two, along with more people, but those two especially.

Pushing away bad memories and thoughts no longer with his time he exited the kitchen, grabbing his messenger bag that sat near the doorway. “If I get a chance I’ll bring you home a present Loki,” he called the feline who was still in the kitchen eating. Before opening the door he put on his sunglasses and fedora. He headed out the door, locking it behind him. His house was small, but plenty big enough for him and his feline friend. One thing he was happy about was the fact that his home sat alone and just with inside the forest. The seclusion was nice.

Exiting the forest on the foot path he spotted a man and girl he had never seen before. He watched for a moment as the girl bumped into the man. Lonan shook his head slightly, considering taking the long way around. Unfortunately that was out of the question since it would make him late. Not that he really cared if he was. Once more the raven haired male sighed, moving forward. He walked down the path that joined to the road. He did his best to not pay attention to the two strangers, but for some reason he felt slightly pulled towards them. It was a strange feeling, something he’d never felt before.

The ground was hard and it hurt. To be frank, Ercothe never spent much time on the ground. It felt weird to suddenly fall there due to a collision. Perhaps he should have practiced falling more? Or maybe he should have been less scrupulous with trying to avoid danger or harm. Ercothe despised pain and injury, which explained his lack of experience with falling onto one's own rump.

Wincing at the sting that came to his rear, the blond realized just how weak he probably looked. A gentleman must not look weak in the eyes of a beautiful woman. It was the unspoken oath he took upon his becoming a prince. Still, his butt was probably bruised and he would now walk with a light limp.

Popping to his feet, he draped his hand down toward the young miss with whom he had bumped into. "My apologizes, fair maiden. I have no excuse for my unfortunate stepping. Please bear no guilt for this fated collide was my doing." Falling into a bow, his hand continued to hold Aurora's dainty hand. A light kiss was planted just below her knuckles and as he stepped away, he released his gentle grip.

Noticing her young age, he presumed she was headed off to school. Since he was new to the area, now might be the ideal time to make a friend. She seemed generous and sweet, someone he could easily befriend and enjoy the company of.

"Where is thy destination, miss?" As he asked the question, he couldn't help but notice another person trying to pass through the area. Stepping aside so he didn't block the path, Ercothe graciously bowed his head in respect to the man that was passing by. "Good day to you, kind sir," he offered as a sign of respect.

Amelia knew her uncle hated her, for reasons unknown, and wondered what she must have done to deserve being born as another boring person in this stupid, useless world. So far nothing had gained her interest to make her care about anyone except herself; her personality was almost completely different than her actual outlook appearance that others would see. Her outfit consisted of a dark background or a darker outlook on life, which wasn't fully not true. Sighing as she wondered what she should do in order to find a group this time. Seeing other students on the lawn outside of the school talking, most of them she thought was looking straight at her. Though she felt the popular kids looking through her, so to speak.

'Well, cheerleading isn't going to work, ugh' shuddering at her own thought of being in a small outfit, being loud as well as annoying, and showing off too much skin. The energy part she could do in an instant, however, being girly such as wearing pink...yea...that was a big 'N.O' to her. Closing her eyes for a second while walking she bumped into this other girl almost whom was sitting on the steps with her group of friends. They almost looked like the way she dressed, kind of all in black, somewhat, but not goth as well. "Ooops, sorry" she apologized to them hoping they wouldn't get mad at her.

One of the guys looked up from his notebook he was holding while talking with his group of friends "It's fine, just be more careful" he had jet dark black hair with deep hazel brown eyes and looked a bit taller than her. The girl had a small frame appearing fifteen at the most with black hair, obviously dyed, with a red streak down to her waist, and purple eyes. 'Probably contacts' she thought to herself asking "Mind if I sit with you?" the group stared at her making the situation feel awkward "Oh sorry, didn't think you guys judged people, excuse me" she said walking over to one of the empty unoccupied trees sitting at the base of it watching others walk onto the campus. There hat to be others like her or someone she could easily talk to that wouldn't be...well like the others here.

Amelia watched the others around the school grounds hanging with their friends and just talking away like nothing even mattered. Maybe she cared too much about how life was going and all the things you could do in life to make it better or worse. Glancing back at the group she realized she was staring at every now and then, she noticed some of the ... jock type boys walked over to their little group. She couldn't hear everything they were saying clearly, though the actions of the jocks caused some major reactions to the group, and she had to wonder. 'Why aren't they sticking up for themselves? Is this really a typical Hollywood movie style school?' Standing up she walked over watching the girl she almost tripped over getting pulled against one of the jocks, she surely didn't look like she wanted it, and there was no way Amelia would sit and watch this, let alone walk away.

Going straight up to the jock as one of the boys had just stood up to defend the girl, Amelia pulled the girl out of Jock's grip moving her quickly into her friend's (the boy who was about to defend the girl it looked like), and stood in front of the jock now. By the voices she heard around her, the boy's name was Tommy Riles, and by the number of people watching she figured he was on the football team or another sports team. "Get out of the way new girl" Tommy threatened looking just like any other boy she had seen here, blonde hair, green eyes, and well fit when it came down to boys on the sports teams. "Right and why would I do that?" she asked raising a brow waiting for his reply "because if you don't, I'll-" Tommy didn't get to finish.

"You will what?" she cut him off continuing "Risk your precious scholarships to go off on a new girl who stood up to you bullying others out of boredom because your stupid tiny little brain couldn't think of anything smarter to do in front of the whole school on the school grounds" with that she seemed to have made her point as he said something only to where she could hear him "Better watch out new girl or you'll be next" he threatened quietly walking away, before he could fully walk away she said "Oooh I'm sooooo shaking" in a mocking tone sort of voice, she seemed to have drawn alot of attention. Her appearance in her darker outfit looked almost like she was glowing herself, but you couldn't tell with the sun.

"You didn't have to do that" the boy from earlier who stood up to help the girl spoke "I didn't have to, but I did. No one deserves shit like that to happen to them, and I don't care who you are" walking away back to her tree stump she sat down relaxing her head against the base of the tree. The group just sat there confused wondering why she had helped them. Not many people would stand up for them let alone anyone when it came to Tommy Riley.

A deep blush had spread across the young girl's face, "Fair maiden?" Her voice was soft and quiet, shyness taking over, but she went to shake the handsome's man's hand anyway, "I do believe it was my fault. I wasn't paying any attention, you see.. And.." Aurora turned an even deeper shade of red when the stranger kissed her hand. Who was this guy?

She silver-haired girl dusted herself off, smoothing out her plain shirt. A wisp of hair that had managed the fall down her forehead was quickly brushed aside as Aurora continued to gawk at this man.

Great. I just had to bump right into someone! I don't know anyone in this town and the first person I bump into has to be this man. Her thoughts bubbled with anxious thoughts. This, oh so, handsome man. I wonder how old he is? Ah! Why would I even be thinking about that?

Her thoughts were gladly interrupted when the stranger had spoke again, "My destination? Oh, to.. to school. First day, actually." The pink was beginning to fade form her cheeks.

When another guy had passed by, Aurora couldn't help but feel a strange feeling that made her a little uneasy. She turned and watched him pass, her eyes following him. The feeling felt like snakes were slithering their way through her veins and were pumping venom in the form of anxious adrenaline. What an odd feeling. Aurora nervously rubbed the back of her neck and rolled her shoulders. The feeling passed as the other guy had.

But as Aurora's thoughts finally went back to the man before her, she could sense the same feeling towards him. It wasn't as strong, not as vicious feeling, but it was there.

Looking around Azar shrugged and followed the mister Williams that said he was there by her grandmothers orders. She had hoped that she would get to meet the lady as she came in but if this was the way the woman worked, then that was it. She could feel the eyes of the people around her at the bus station on her and her look. She smirked straitening the richly embroidered vest over her fish net shirt. She wondered what the old woman would think of her outfit and her hair, not that she was going to change it. The car he lead her to was a Lincoln Continental Limo painted in white with a coat of arms emblazed on the back doors of the car. “You have got to be kidding me!” he turned looking back at her surprise clear on his face. “you’re telling me that my grandmother is ennobled? Why did it take her so long to find me if she is?” she could feel the fire wanting to break out and burn what was angering her. Clinching her fists tight she took a deep breath and tried to get her emotions under control.

“your grandmother had things that she had to deal with here in town before she could bring you back to this place, miss.”
His voice was soft as he opened the door for her. She wanted so much to turn away from him and run but she had to go with him or the government would put her back in the system. Maybe it would not be that bad living with an old biddy who was rich. Sighing she slid into the car and looked around. On the seat acrossed from her was a clothing box and what smelled like breakfast. Reaching out she lifted the silver domed lid upon the tray. Below it was an English style breakfast, meat, eggs, muffins, hash browns. “you will find utensils in the box there next to your seat.” He said before he closed the door and walked to the front. Not to long later they were on the move to who knows where.

Azar really did not care where they were going as she gobbled down the meal. It had been almost a full day since last she had eaten. she realized in the back of her mind that hunger was the best spice. “so where are we going now?” she said around a mouthful of eggs.

“once you are done with your breakfast I am to take you to your school.” Quickly he looked at her through the mirror then back at the road. “your grandmother says you are to wear the outfit in the box and not what you came in with. She does not wish for you to wear what you came in with.” He looked back up at her with a slight smile before returning to driving. “she has said if you do as she asks she will allow you to keep the outfits you like but if you say no then she will take all your outfits and only allow you to wear what she buys.”

Sighing Azar reached out and pulled the box over to her and looked into it. Inside was a simple blouse with a cream colored vest. Below it was a skirt of light brown that would land below the knees. “I don’t wear skirts.” The car slowed and pulled over as he give her a look that said that she was not going to like what was coming if she turned down the skirt. “I… I just cant wear skirts.” Gripping her fists tight she could feel the fire just under her skin. Fear of what had happened the last time she had been in a skirt, her heart raced. Mister Williams slowly walked out of the car and opened the door beside her. Glancing up at him she tried to hide the fear.

“show me what pants you have and we will discuss this with your grandmother later.” His voice was gentle as he knelt down in front of her. Her level of fear did not go up as it might have done with any other man had they done the same, but with him she became much calmer. “I am to guess that something happened to you in one of your homes that has created this fear, I will talk to her about this.” He looked down at her cargo pants and smiled. “for now those will work.”

As the limo pulled up into the school parking lot Azar looked out and watched a young woman walk over and stand up to what looked to be a jock. She was a beautiful angel in black, her pail hair seemed to create a halo around her beautiful face. “this is your stop miss.” Williams voice cut through the haze of the glow of the beautiful lady. “I will be back here to pick you up at the end of the day. Do not think to act like you’re going in only to skip the day. Your grandmother will know.” He said as she climbed out of the car and looked around. She saw at least a few of the students take in her Grandmothers crest on the doors and what she was dressed in. all she had eyes for was the beautiful blond that had just stood up to the jock whos friends now seemed to be trying to talk him into going and meeting Azar.

Walking over to Amelia, Azar smiled at her. “hi I am new here, My name is Azar Dolye and I liked how you shut up those jocks.” holding out her hand she gently pulled the cream vest down trying to feel comfortable in these clothes that were not her own.

The group stayed silent, not sure if trusting her was a good idea, then again she just made the rest of her high school life a living hell for standing up to Tommy. After what happened they couldn't figure out if she was brave or just plain stupid. Guess they would figure it out sooner or later when Tommy would get his payback. Turning around hearing the girl speak behind her, she smiled a bit

"Thanks Azar, I'm Amelia Willows" she carefully shook the girl's hand, shaking hands wasn't her type of things, though she looked over at the group "Uh let's go talk elsewhere, away from 'them' " she stated keeping a hold on the girl's hand for a moment and then let go it, she didn't mean anything by it, but she wanted to get away from the group. "So, you're new as well, at least we won't be alone now" Amelia spoke sitting on the ground tucking her legs to the side so her skirt would stay down.

“it is nice to meet you Amelia, not many people would have stood up to a jock like that one.” Azar said as she nodded back at Tommy and his group. Giving Amelia’s hand a gentle squeeze Azar cracked a smile as she fallowed Amelia. “so why do you not want to talk around them?” she asked as they sat down away from the others. “so your new here to? When did you get into town?” looking around she wondered when they would have to be going into the school and where she was to be getting the list of her classes.

"I'm not like most people" Amelia responded being honest about that part, obviously it showed with the way she dressed, and acted around others. "Not much of a reason really, they're just...awkward to be around. They dress like people I would hang out with, but they don't 'act' the way I expected, that's for sure. Very...well you could say they're lone wolves" Amelia spoke throwing out the random thought of them being alone like wolves and not accepting anyone else. "I arrived a few days ago, but I just started school today, though I would rather not be in school if I could help it. Though we only have fifteen minutes or less to get into our classes" school was in session from seven thirty in the morning to three o'clock in the afternoon, clubs and activities would be an hour or two after school until four thirty.

The moment she said school, Ercothe's eyes lit up. Shooting the lovely lady a smile, he rose a hand to the back of his neck and gave himself a good rub. It was one of his nervous gestures. He wasn't sure why he was going it, but it always felt awkward to ask a woman what he was about to ask. "Would I be too bold if I asked you to grace me with your presence as we both have the same destination in mind?" It rolled off the tongue in a flawless tune, of sorts. It probably sounded a tad odd to non-noble ears, but it was Ercothe's way of asking to walk with the fine lady. He hoped that, in his boldness, she might not see him as cocky or sexual. No, he merely wanted a companion. Besides, it wasn't fit to have such a dapper young lass wandering the streets alone. Probably didn't help that Ercothe was unfamiliar with the area and thus assumed danger lurked around every corner.

Biting his lip for no more than a second, Ercothe tried to hid his royal blush. "If my lavish terms and obscene gestures weren't enough to make it notable that I'm new here, simply let my lack of location stand in its place. I haven't the slightest clue where the school is even located." Giving Aurora a hopeless should shrug, he leaned in forward to bow. "I am Er-" he cut himself short. There was no way he could state that he was Ercothe, for that was the name of the royal blood. No, he would have to come up with something else. "Eron Sethe." Exchanging and dropping a few letters, he successfully turned Seon Ercothe into Eron Sethe (Air-on See-th). Until he could turn anyone in this neighborhood, he would assume this new name. Although, truthfully, the young prince wasn't fond of lying. Still, it was best not to let wandering ears catch his real name for his life could fall into grave danger. As much as he trusted the pale-haired woman before him, Ercothe just couldn't let his guard down. There was too much at stake to be reckless.

Rylan stood watching as some of the other students walked into the school the early warning bell ringing. He had watched the interaction between the jocks and the new girl with some amusement he did kind of remember the jock although at the moment couldn't place his name. Some things just never changed. Glancing once more around the schoolyard he walked towards the two girls. He had recognized the crest on the car the one arrived on he did some yard work for the old lady last weekend. "Guess since no one else has said it to you yet I might as well. Welcome."

“I hear you about not wanting to go to school, but then I don’t think my grandmother would be happy if I tried to skip.” Azar said as she looked around at all the other students walking in to school. She was going to have to go get her schedule so if she were to make it to homeroom or her first class, whichever it was here as this school. Turning around to the voice that had spoken Azar raised an eyebrow to the young man. He was kind of cute, built like a jock but if he was ok talking to two new students then why complain. Looking back at Amelia she wondered if they were related in some why. It was not that common for there to be two people with such pail hair color in the same school. Holding out her hand she smiled at Rylan. “thanks, I am Azar and I am guessing that you are not new here and know where one might pick up ones schedule.” Trying to smile kindly she sighed. “I am actually just off the bus. Grams sent for me to be brought back here to this town,” her brows wrinkled. “what do you call this place anyways? I did not see any signs coming in.”

"Yea, well, I'm kinda forced into the whole school thing. Guess it will give me something to do." Amelia stated hearing Azar speak up about not being able to skip classes, she was hoping to find someone to skip with, but if she wound up with someone interesting to talk to in her classes, maybe she wouldn't in the end. Standing up brushing herself off a bit, she smiled "I'm Amelia, nice to meet you..uh?" she didn't know his name yet, though she noticed how they didn't look very odd standing around each other unlike her little talk with the other group who wouldn't speak to her when she first arrived.

The raven barely acknowledged the two as he walked past them. “Morning,” he muttered in reply to the male. He continued to walk at a leisurely pace. Two cats came darting out onto the road in front of him. He gave them a grin. “Good morning Stormy and Rufio.” Lonan stopped to give both of his furry friends a good scratch behind the ears. He also gave them both a treat as well. The cats mewed at him happily, nudging his leg with their heads. This caused him to smile a bit. “I need to go. See you after school,” he told them petting their heads once more.

The cats followed him for a bit as he began to walk again. About halfway down the road he turned onto a side street. It was a shortcut of sorts. It allowed him to get to the school and make contact with the least number of people without being late. Today was only his second real day of school here, but he knew his way like he had been going for years. He hadn’t given it much thought before this morning and it was a tad strange. Then again not much ever really seemed to make sense in his life. When he finally arrived at the school it seemed that one of the jocks was going at it with a new girl. The raven grinned to himself. The girl had guts and more than likely the jock deserved what he was getting. He watched for a moment before moving to a shadowy area to get out of the sun.

As he leaned back against the wall a girl came up to him. She was kind of cute, probably a year younger than him or the same age he guessed. The girl fidgeted some as she stood in front of him. “Hi I’m Beth. You’re new here right? Umm…if you need someone to show you around the place I can.” She gave him a sheepish smile. Lonan returned her smile with one of his own. “How observant of you my honey. I wouldn’t mind getting a grand tour if someone as cute as you were to show me around.” He moved, putting his arm around the shorter girl’s shoulders. This caused Beth’s cheeks to turn red. “Sure, I can give you a tour before the bell.” She seemed eager to show him around. Oh how cute, she actually thinks I’m interested. Before they could get started the first bell rang. The girl pouted a bit. “Don’t worry my honey we can take that tour later if you want,” his voice was velvety as he gave her a wink. She blushed again before running off to join her friends. Once she was out of hearing distance he shook his head. “Sometimes it’s too easy…”

The morning air was luckily still enough that Aurora wouldn't sweat in front of such a strange guy. Sometimes, when she became too nervous, little dribbles of sweat would bead up on her face, it was always embarrassing, "You're going to school?" Aurora tilted her head, she was certain he was much too old for school, "First day too, huh?" The way this guy spoke was odd indeed. She wasn't used to such well mannered words, "But..Um.. If you're heading there yourself, I don't see it as a problem. You're certainly welcome to walk with me." She smiled brightly, her lavender eyes lighting up as well.

Even though she didn't know this guy, Aurora still felt it was okay to walk with him. She could use a friend, anyway. Out of all the time she had spent here already, she didn't know anyone else, not really. Her aunt was the only company she had had and it was nice to communicate with someone around her own age.

Aurora giggled as the guy went on to explain his situation and then tell her his name, "Well, nice to meet you, Eron. I'm Aurora." She beamed. Strange, she hadn't felt this great in a long time. Perhaps it was just from meeting someone else who was new. It was a comforting thought to know that she wouldn't be the only new person today and that she wouldn't have to face the start of it alone.

"Rylan I got in town last week, but I grew up here." He chuckled softly and shrugged. "I got nothing better to do then start school back up. I can take you to the office and to get your schedule, got to grab mine anyhow." He nodded to Amelia. "Liked how you handled yourself, that kid was a bully even when he was little." He shifted his bag over his shoulder glancing at the time. "Might as well head in dont really want to miss too much class."

Azar looked at Amelia her face quizzical wondering why she had started when she had spoken of skipping. Maybe she too had gotten in trouble at her last school for skipping one to many classes. “it is nice to meet you Rylan, according to my grandmothers letters I live here when I was born but my mother ran with me after they had a fight. So I really don’t know anything about the town. Maybe some time you could show us around.” Azar smiled at his chuckle, she liked the sound of it. “Sure it would be nice and then we can find out what classes we have in common. I don’t expect to have any electives, I missed to much school at my last one. So they will probably have put me in makeup classes.” Nodding to Amelia she waved towards the school. “Shall we go in and see what our new jailers have for us?”

Ercothe did his best not to hound Aurora with questions as they walked. He merely spoke about the weather and his luck to run into someone who happened to be going to the same place as he. Every now and again, he would shoot her a smile or laugh at something he said or she did. It was just lighthearted fun and conversation.

Before long, the two were before the school. Many thanks to Aurora, too. There was one split in the road that Ercothe got a bit turned around at. Had the pretty woman not steered him down the right path, he would be skipping his first day of school. Oops! Thankfully, he had his own lifesaver, Aurora.

"Thanks again for helping me find my way, Aurora." A charming grin appeared on his face. "If you don't object to having a travel buddy, shall we do this again tomorrow? The heavens only know if I'll go the right way tomorrow."

Now that they were at school, Ercothe took a moment to look around at some of the other faces. The boy from before (Lonan) was there. There were some pretty girls talking. And, naturally, there were about four dozen other students all showing up for school. Oi, this will be weird. Ercothe was so used to learning alone. Gulping, he stepped forward, hoping that Aurora would lead.

"New jailers?" Ercothe caught the tail end of Azar's statement. He didn't mean to eavesdrop, but upon hearing jailer, he instantly felt uneasy about this whole school thing. Turning around to Aurora, he cocked a brow. "What's a jailer?" A look of disbelief was on his face. "Is this prison?"

Amelia laughed a little "Jailers, that's an interesting term to use. I guess it is best to get it now, and figure out where they are at" something about the school seemed familiar to her, but even more the town itself as if she was trying to remember something she couldn't remember. Not that she really forgot about it, more like it was just hidden in the back of her mind; Amelia stayed near Azar already liking her new friend, she assumed once meeting someone they were automatically friends, and liked it that way. "Well, that is one way to think about it" Amelia joked about what Ercothe had said, she didn't know his name, only the fact that he spoke up in their conversation.

“well they are not really jailers but that is what I call them. Most of the time the staff at the schools that I went to did not really do the job because they loved to teach but because it was a pay check. I found them much like the Jailers in juvenile hall.” Looking over at the new interloper she raised her eyebrow. “And you are?” the warmth that had been in her voice became Icey. She did not mind people joining into their conversation but when you just hop into what is being said and not introduce yourself or say welcome. Well that was just rude in her mind.
