I'm having an interesting conversation with someone i know... we are debating on how valentines day is a day of open love.... And i just see it as a couples holiday that gives people an excuse to ask for more stuff.

I think Valentine's day is odd, in that people seem to think it's a special day to proclaim love etc. Surely that should be every day if you're with someone you care about enough to go out and spend rather copious amounts of money on...

I like surprise romantic days better than picking one day that you are almost required to show your love (or people think you're crazy or a bad boy/girl friend)
