Lori had been happy to get accepted to the school where all kinds of magic and other supernatural creatures went. She was even happier the her parents were letting her go. Fairies tended to keep to themselves as they where the smaller of the creatures she was the same height as a normal human girl but she could shrink to the size of a tea cup which was fun to avoid being seen by humans. She landed in front of the school and shifted into her full form grinning at the building with it's large size and two dormitories one for the boys and one for the girls. She glanced around wondering if any of the other students were they.

just then A wolf walked up to the school there was the sound of stretching of bones and ripping ot tendon and in the place of the wolf was a semi tall boy who looked to be new he smiled and walked over o a part on the wall away from people and pulled out a book and started to read.

as he sat there he didn't pay mind to people around him so engrossed in his book.

Soon the other students showed up in different ways from there animal forms to riding animals. Eventually the students saw the teachers who ushered them in they offered them some breakfast while they handed out the list of rules, a map to find there way around and a schedule all the first years had the same classes to start but as second years they would get to be in classes more designed for there specific race.

dante looked up at the teachers and smiled taking the paper and thanking her politely and walking into the classroom he went to a seat in the back and sat patiaently waiting for the class to begin he couldn't wait he had heard thet they had to demonstrate why they came here and he was excited he might actually make some new friends he was willing to try getting to know people then the teacher started to call up the new students one by one.

Lori sat in her first class after breakfast and suddenly felt a little nervous as her name was called. She stood folding her wings carefully behind her as the teacher asked her a few things. "I'm a fairy nothing special I have a few powers but they are a secret." this was the speech her parents had taught her since she was young. "My wings are those of monarch butterfly and I can reach up to 100 miles per hour flying. The one power that I can show off is this..." she shrunk herself then expended again with a sparkle of gold magic. She sat back down before the teacher could ask anything else smiling softy.

Then the teacher called dante up as he walked up from the back of the class room looking at lori as he walked by he stood at the front of the class he looked around " im dante , am a shape shifter some of are naturally abiliyties we have an amazing bone regeneration factor due to the ability we have our bones need to break and shift constantly " as he spoke there was a crunch and the sound of bones condencing as he changed from a human to a wolf in fron tof the class ther was now the sound of bones stretching and tendon ripping then he was back to normal he went over to sit down at his desk he threw a piece of paper twords you folded up really small.

Lori blinked at it and frowned glancing at the small piece of paper. She tucked it away for later turning her attention to the teacher as he walked them threw there lessen. She unfolded the paper once the teacher wasn't paying attention before she started to read it.

"hey I was wondering if you wanted to hang out later we are both very different from the people in the school I was hoping we could be friends" your new friend hopefully dante

Lori was surprised by the note and glanced at him a soft smile on her face. "sure." was her quick and easy reply she sent it back to him on the wings of a butterfly who dropped it in his lap before vanishing into thin air.

*he opend it up smiled and took the paper and put it in his pocket before the teacher saw it he then sat back and payed attention until they had a ten minute break before lunch. he walked out the door and waited outside the door for the girl to walk out the door

Lori groaned at all the homework just the five periods had given them. With a sigh she floated outside her bagged lunch in hand she spotted Dante and flew over to him. "Hey." she grinned. "Hope you don't mind me eating."

"not at all he said pulling out a sandwich and taking a bite "so what brought you here"

"I wanted to come to make friends." Lori said sitting cross legged on the ground letting her wings spread. "I live with a bunch of fairies who don't really care to hang out." she shrugged.

"oh nice he said looking over at her well then consider me a friend so what do you do in your free time. he said while looking around thee school not wanting the bell to ring so they could stay outside for the rest of the day * " I don't like buildings"

"I only ever have free time." Lori shrugged. "I fly a lot or I sit and took with the butterflies and flowers." she paused realizing how crazy that must sound to a none fairy. "They have interesting things to say some times." she shrugged. "I like buildings keeps me from being eaten when I'm small."

"ya I don't like buildings so much they remind me of cages you see before I came here to live in the woods a man by the name of big Boe found me and convinced me to join his freak show.... I had to do all kinds of stuff like jump through hoops as different animals and all other sorts of degraded things it was then I decided that I needed a true form one I was both comfortable to be in all the time when I don't want to be another animal and that's when I decided to be a wolf. its pretty cool but eventually all shifter lose there sanity to the beast with in and are never seen again. that's what happened to my family. and eventually it will happen to me I don't know when but it happens to all of us so I just live day to day waiting for the day I go crazy."

Lori blinked a little then hugged him rather suddenly. "I'm sorry." she mumbled.

" no need for you to apologize its not your fault. you have nothing to do with this. that happens to us it just happens. just then he started to laugh uncontrollably and he couldn't stop it was a laughter of someone going crazy then out of the blue he stopped and smiledwell its a slow process I guess. want me to take you home then
